Why Does My Sub Box Have 2 +, 2 - Terminals
siksII replied to 123456's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
my box has two terminals as well, it is a dual voice coil sub, but at the moment the coils are wired up inside the box to one terminal, but often they give two sets of terminals so that you can connect one voice coil to each terminal so that there is more flexibilty with the amps you can use, ie. connecting one voice coil to each channel of 4 channel amp that you have bridged down to two. -
i asked them this exact question a couple of weeks ago, and i was told that its from the date of the incident which caused you to have your license suspended, not the date of when your license was suspended (usually a later date, not on the spot) but to make sure you should call them it will take less time than it did to post up here, and you will get a sure answer straight away.

Tired Engine. How Much Difference Can It Make?
siksII replied to Psymon's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
those cars were not tired in the sense that this thread is talking about, those cars were on the brink of falling apart and blowing up, they were all cheap shitters. -
you would only suffer pressure loss after it empties all the oil from your engine and then blows up because it has no oil in it.

im not a very good photographer but this one turned out ok, its 2.5mb, taken at Tallowa Dam in Kangaroo Valley NSW.

Does The Ecu Temp Sensor Affect Fuel Consumption ?
siksII replied to Munkyb0y's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeah i know its dodgy, i have been very lazy lately, i cant bring myself to get out, buy one and change it while we are on this topic, does anyone know if when cold, the power fc changes timing as well as AFR, or just AFR? and either way with the default setting, what diffrence in AFR/degrees does it make? i have seen there is a table in there that u can change, but cant remember the details, and i dont think i understood to what degree it changed things either. -
Does The Ecu Temp Sensor Affect Fuel Consumption ?
siksII replied to Munkyb0y's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Im talking about around 10-15mins 100% steep downhill all the way, even with short hits of full throttle acceleration. Thats when the issue is most pronounced, but even driving around on the open road if its majority no throttle slight downhill it still cools down to the 50-60degree level, just like cubes has seen. Adriano, i have not pulled mine out, so you could be right in that it is broken, but i reckon its just died over time, there might be some manufacturing differences which result in good and a few bad ones? In heavy traffic mine warms up sort of quick, maybe around 8mins if its not cold outside, in light traffic (mostly light throttle too) i have driven up to 15mins and it still isnt warm. -
when i saw this i straight away thought must have been down the esses further up the road. that patch road is not bad(but not good for 130 either!) they just resurfaced it, good to see no one got hurt, and as everyone else says, you are very lucky guys today! i have driven up and down that road like 1-2 times a week for the last 5 years and have to admit sometimes not slow either but after this i think i will rethink things as im sure the local cops wont be too happy! and yes the media is not relly interested unless people get hurt, or have been booked at high speed so hopefully dont worry about media attention on this one.

R33 Gtr Rear Brakes Vs R33 Gtst Rear Brakes
siksII replied to Al's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I have test driven a fair few r33s and noticed that all ABS equipped cars have doughy feeling brakes. ive noticed that this is the same with 300zxs and s15s(both have abs) R33GTRs on the other hand have good pedal feel and have ABS.. (although i have only ever driven one a fair bit, with standard new pads and fresh brake fluid etc) so i doubt its out of the ordinary assuming your 34 has ABS. have you driven other non ABS 34s and noticed anything different? my 33's brakes are pretty touchy with gay ultimates on, especially just after getting disks machined they were very grabby from just touching the pedal. -
Does The Ecu Temp Sensor Affect Fuel Consumption ?
siksII replied to Munkyb0y's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
So even with a good thermostat that happens!?? i would have assumed it would close and the water temp would stay approximately the same.. its really annoying, after it happens i feel like i need to to warm it up again before giving it some stick again btw i remember a while ago i argued with you over whether fuel cut completely cuts all fuel to the engine(ie. it only pumping air) i believe you after some testing and since then i have had the same argument lots of times with new people trying to convince them! -
always spot a silver s2 r33 gts-t parked in the loading dock at the Shelbourne Hotel on sussex st in the city at night...

that was an awesome race, loved the pass as fisi was coming out!! looked like schumacher was making some risky passing chances with the car on and off wet patches all the time, was awesome to watch! alonso looked pretty pissed off after the race... schumi was sort of going to say congrats and alonso just stormed off! not very nice, so sucked in alonso, you lost, handle it wanker! i also really hope that schumi can win this final year, he looks excited at the challenge rather than worried which is a good sign im really pissed off i never ended up going to watch the f1 now that schumacher is leaving!! DAMMIT!!!!

Does The Ecu Temp Sensor Affect Fuel Consumption ?
siksII replied to Munkyb0y's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
my thermostat is probably stuffed, as i can drive for 15mins and the car will still be below 80deg. also annoying is if the car is warm and i drive downhill for ages (fuel cut a lot of the time) water temp drops down to around 50 in no time! ive been too lazy to replace it, but this can definetly cause worse fuel economy as its using cold enrichment for way longer than it shoud, less power too. -

They are sold -
i dont see how u have that much negative camber on the front if you suspension is standard... i think around 1 degree is ok for normal use, i would say that 1.7 would cause a bit of wear on the inside. not sure if the offset would make a difference, would have to ask someone else in relation to the tyre pressures, i generally have my t1-rs at 40-42psi. i find that 38 is about the lower limit i like them on, you will find they feel sharper when over 38psi. so dont worry about overinflation at least up to around 42psi. i have measured tyre wear and they have not worn more in the middle of the tyre(overinflation) even with those pressures

My Sister Getting Her Moneys Worth
siksII replied to cowie165's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
i have also noticed this disturbing issue! after my gf had her oil changed last time BY A MECHANIC! (i usually do it) she never checked it, although its not really required so not her fault but still.. its a 1.6 meant to have 3.3L of oil, i drained it and it only had 1.9L!!!!!!!! if it was a GTR it would have spun a big end!! -

Definetly not due to the tyre pressure. If you have stock shocks and springs they should certainly not wear on the inside like that. Get your suspension checked out somewhere that knows what they are doing, it sounds like something is wrong! If your pressures are too high it wears the middle of the tyre out anyway not the edges, and 36 is not too high.

Hey, in the 2005 motor tyre test they came 5th, otherwise yes i have noticed that the later generation of tyres such as in the 2006 test seem to be rated a lot better than the toyos. i know what you mean about the conflicting data, i honstly think the tyre companies pay off some of the tests, especially the US ones, which is why i take the results with a LARGE grain of salt from the prices you found they do sound like the RS2s could be very good value. Hurry up and finish off your toyo's so u can tell us what the RS2s are like

call the police station which the policeman that caught you is from. ask to speak with the policeman, and ask him if you could come down to see the video if they have it. you can go down yourself and see it at the police station whenever there is time, but i dont know if you can make a copy for yourself.
