  1. you can buy 'helper' springs which u fit in under the springs u have to keep them captive. they look like this:
  2. I have not used these myself but from what i have heard, and read in the tyre thread they are not a good choice if you can afford better ie they are not good in comparison to the name brand equivalents. Have u got a price on the RS2s? i have been searching and reading a few reviews on them, and the consensus is that they grip like a very good road tyre ie. sport maxx or t1-r, but wear out even faster than a tyre like a 615. read a couple of reviews of people who used both on the track who said the 615s gripper better and lasted way longer. this post sort of sums it up http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthr...230#post1153230 so if it were me i would only consider the rs2s if they were a lot cheaper than the 615s. even then it would probably make them price wise on par with top of range road tyres and judging from opinions on the net you may as well get the normal road tyres as they will last longer and grip similarly.
  3. around the thigh area they are too narrow for me, upper body is good, they would be great for most people, i have fat thighs i guess
  4. the speedo cables always shit themselves on the older cars (pre98) thats all i know about the old ones so make sure the speedo doesnt jerk around etc. other than that, i have driven a 2002 and it had amazing steering, brakes and balance. you do feel a bit like a nancyboy but trust me when u cane it u wont care. after your gf gets one, try and get her to let u take it to a skyline track day, and you will be pleasantly surprised
  5. dont expect it to cost a couple of hundred bucks its not actually that hard to find all the info , look at the rta website, then look under Rules and regulations(on the left hand side menu) that has links to everything including http://www.legislation.nsw.gov.au/ which has legislation documents u can search.
  6. redline is a better oil than royal purple it is composed of a more expensive base which partially explains its more expensive price. it is the best oil you can buy. search for the goods on oils thread for more info, but i would say that you can get a similar performance oil to royal purple for less money.
  7. Hi, i have T1-Rs(255/40/17) on the rear of my car, and sport maxxs(235/45/17 8 inch rim) on the front. i have tried various types of tyres and these are the best i have ever personally tried, however i know 100% you they dont compare to say a falken azenis rt-615, toyo r888 or similar tyre which is one level below a proper semi slick (dry grip wise) comparing the t1-r and the sport maxxs.... i can say a few things.. the sport maxxs are definetly a noisy tyre even when brand new. i have noticed this on my car and a friends car. the t1-rs are VERY quiet, they are well used now and are still very quiet which is unsual. dry drip was excellent in warm weather with both tyres, however the t1-rs do not grip as well as they did when they were new. in the wet the toyos are excellent and reasonably predictable, the dunlops are amazing and somehow manage to avoid aquaplaning altogether even through water that is inches deep. the dunlops feel stiffer than the toyos during cornering, but in a straight line they both soak up bumps well compared to other tyres ive tried. the toyo sidewalls are a bit soft but not too bad, and the hicas is felt a lot when the tyre is new, partially because of how the tyre grips the road, and partially because of the softish sidewalls. hope that helps!
  8. when the light is orange according to the rta you must stop unless it is unsafe to do so, and that is probably the only was you will get out of it. if you are sure you can convince the magistrate that it was not safe to stop you will probably get off. at the least have the charge changed to disobey yellow light(not red light) i cant remember one place that is good but this guy is good, i assure you he wont be cheap though since it is not serious you might have a chance representing yourself too and it will cost u a maximum of the court fees. 9. hey sorry if it caused any confusion i meant that the seat will fit, but i have never actually put it in the car, hence it is unused ie brand new condition
  10. i am 95% sure they are the same yes. you are welcome to try or have a look
  11. use some stuff called brake clean to clean the discs before u put them on make sure there is no oil on there! u can get it anywhere, wont cost much.
  12. Maybe you should read the website again, what you are missing is quite obvious so it shouldnt be hard for you too see. They are out of stock, and are $599 if you go and pick them up. If you ring justjap, i think you will find that delivery is certainly not included for $599. They also come with universal rails. Do you think that those rails will just bolt into your car? For $650 i am including custom made rails to suit r33 skylines, which even sit at the standard height. And you can have the universal rails that come with the seat as they were not used. If i was selling the seats with the included universal rails as supplied from justjap themselves of course i would not be asking more than they are worth new. Are you even interested?
  13. thanks mate, just got them anyway
  14. just got mine
  15. As topic states, Genuine leather recaro sr3 copies, brand new condition, put in passenger seat for one day and removed. The seats are too narrow for me, i did not even fit the drivers side one so it it brand new, unused They also come with very solid custom slider rails, seats sit at stock height and bolt into r33gts-t so any other compatible models too. $650 pickup from Sydney city area. SOLD
  16. nice work, that was fast
  17. and??
  18. i saw that section on the DVD, was the only good section out of the whole thing, awesome car and burnout!
  19. just get them from nissan spare parts. i had trouble finding them anywhere else in sydney in the exact right size.
  20. its probably rattling in the bracket, mine does this unless it is taped to the bracket. tape it up
  21. i just did a quick google search and on the first page there was a few companies selling mobile phone jammers that handle gsm and CDMA so it obviously can be jammed. whether quiktrak uses the same cdma as mobile phones i dont know but to say CDMA cannot be jammed is wrong. the producs for sale mostly did both gsm and cdma so it did not seem as if cdma is any more expensive to jam.
  22. good call a reason not to get a single would be that for the same hp rating a quad would probably be lighter to push, which usually means its easier to drive which is what the person who started the thread wants. although u should just listen to beer baron (although he likes scrotum??) and ask your mechanic the details
  23. Just noticed Wakefield is for sale. Is this new or have i missed out on something? Any millionaire skyline owners interested? http://www.propertylook.com.au/listing/default.asp?lk=66272 "Property type: Office"
  24. ok well when is the deadline for final confirmation and payments?
  25. but then again, you would be surprised what(well driven) low powered cars can whip skylines arses around tracks! in independant testing the latest m3s do mid 13 quarter miles, so dead stock they are quicker than GTTs but not R34 GTRs, and IMO not classed as a supercar("normal" supercar) performance wise, but are in most other ways.
