  1. been there quite a few times never had an issue, although i am 100% sure that customers could have issues with them being the way they are! what i dont get it why you guys dont actually do anything about it? why not send them a friendly letter perhaps from your solicitor? is it because you think its not worth it? cowie165 and especially amaru that really sucks! just for fun ill mention that last time i was there with a friend getting some good tyres for cheap(as you do) we asked about camber kits, they said its basically impossible to do on an s15(friends car) and if they could do it it would cost around $1000 (actual cost including parts under $300) seems that they only know how to lower cars(minimum 4inches) and sell cheap tyres
  2. no they might have some in the future but currently they only provide universal rails which need to be customised to fit any car, ie somehow mated to your stock rails thats the issue with buying cheap copy seats, they dont come with rails to suit anything so in the end it turns out expensive, generally it would cost around 150-200 per side to get some good quality rails made up to suit an aftermarket seat.
  3. Hey, thanks they are actually a pair from the small run of genuine leather recaro copy seats, they were $599 but the only had a small number of sets, you cant get them anymore. i have a pair of them, i only had time to install one, i will install the other one probably tomorrow Wink: i got a set of custom rails, they were made to bolt straight into an r33, and allow for a recaro seat to be bolted on top. all that i had to do was to measure up and drill 4 holes in the rail as you can see from the pics, and then screw the seat onto the rail, then bolt into car, so not much involved other that lining it up which is tricky!
  4. Thought i would post some pics, as i think lots of people wonder about how to fit in aftermarket seats as you cant get rails that will 100% fit. Just finished installing passenger side this afternoon, not 100% satisfied yet The rails are custom made to suit r33 in combination with Recaros. I had to drill holes as you can see to suit the just jap seats. The seat sits the same height as standard, only issue is the seat belt bracket mount is too close to the seat, so you cant slide the seat forward much. Might be an issue for the drivers side, not really an issue for the passenger as you can still get in the back easy by tilting the seat forward.
  5. I have found meguires scratch x is good for this, u just need to know how to use it.. its not the type of stuff u apply then let dry and remove, instead you rub it in till it stops working then remove and keep repeating until the mark is removed. this is because the scratchx starts harsh and as you rub it in the particles become smaller and produce a finer finish which is why you need to keep repeating to make use of when the scratchx is at its harshest. after using that its best to use a pure polish then apply a wax to protect it. doing that is an excellent way to remove swirls too, just takes a lots of time and effort.
  6. Hey mate you can get them from this guy, he also sells them on nissansilvia forums. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/343mm-BIG-BRAKE-KIT...8QQcmdZViewItem $325 plus postage. slight difference between this kit and the UAS kit is that this kit upgrades to 343mm disk (r33 brembo size) so the disks will cost more. he also sells 324mm kit but im not sure if that is bolt on for r33s as well.
  7. well thats why i used tech wax, it is a synthetic protectant as oposed to the carnuba wax i used to use. isnt this what you mean? here are some pics i quickly took on my mobile after i did the whole thing properly the first time. i got rid of the majority of swirls that time i was really happy with it.
  8. awkward looking
  9. i did this to my car recenty: 1.wash car 2.meguires scratch x on bad parts 3.meguires polish on whole car 4.meguires tech wax on whole car clay was not really needed so didnt bother. anyway my point is i have previously used carnuba waxes, they didnt last long but looked good, this time i used tech wax expecting it to last, and it didnt. the top of the car wore off in about 3-4 weeks, the sides were not bad (now its been maybe 6 weeks) but mostly in need of re wax. i used to get that sort of life with carnuba wax. the car is left outside and its been through heavy rain at times, a bit of hail even, and sun. i just re waxed it today after a bird had massive problems on my car. what do others think about the life of tech wax? i am dissapointed, it looks (and smells!) pretty good but expected more life. what other products last longer and still look ok? (asking those who can directly compare, not speculate)
  10. Hey prank, did you get my pm from yesterday?
  11. Have had times when i have most definetly sent PMs, but they have not been recieved. Maybe its better now but i still cant trust it 100%
  12. pm sent about the bride seat, did you get it? (cant always trust the PM system!)
  13. my car came with razo alloy pedals attatched with allen key clamps, they were stuck on hard but i did not like them at all. in my opinion they make it harder to heel and toe, and i see them as pure rice. i removed them EvilINGT in replacing the pedals you maintain the same heights, and you have the gtr heel and toe lump which is good, so what you have done is pretty cool, my comment is more aimed at those who bought razo or other alloy pedals that sit on top
  14. i remember the standard tyres as being bridgestone s02. this was from a uk (EVO) magazine, so they may be different on a local model.
  15. hey mate i have run 255/40/17 t1-r on the rear for a while now and i have found that they have soft sidewalls (relative to other low profile tyres i have tried) so to get them best out of them i aways run them at minimum 38psi, they feel the best at about 42. when u pump them to 42 they get a LOT sharper than when they are mid 30's. i agree they are one of the quietest tyre in that size and profile, i use dunlop sp sport maxx on the front and they are way noisier than t1-rs even when brand new compared to old t1-rs. the sidewall flex can be unnerving especially in conjunction with stupid hicas, but they start sliding gradually so you learn to trust them.
  16. for that much power falken rt-615 toyo r1r federal 595rs there is not much info on those tyres in that thread.
  17. I dont like the look of the standard car, or this one. Although if i was forced to choose between the two i would probably choose this one, looks a bit less ugly.
  18. i wont be in the state till sunday night
  19. u are all dodgy c**ts
  20. even if u are going the speed limit down that road if u are driving something interesting good luck not getting pulled over and lectured at the least.
  21. castle hill exhausts is in the same complex as far as i remember, go ask them how much, dont know of any other places local to you.
  22. does anyone have the english instructions for installing on an r33?? i have seen the 32 instructions floating around but never the 33 instructions.
  23. get it done anywhere u like its an easy job, you dont need to get it done at a performance workshop. plenty of places charge closer to $80/hr rather than $100@uas which makes a difference in itself. do u have a dump pipe gasket? thats worth around $30 from nissan which they may have taken into account when quoting you. its not bad to re use it if it is in good condition but its safer to replace it.
  24. lol they sound like rice filters. are u sure they arent rebadged rycos k&ns or something? why did u change to using them (apart from perhaps picking them up cheap from somewhere)
  25. was a good day, saw lots of skylines wasnt sure if it was u guys or not! i have to say the commentator was a WANKER thought. i cant believe how biased he was towards to monaro and its wanker driver!!!! %^!#$$@%!#!^@%$!%@&@!!!!!!
