so your saying that the tune of the stock computer is not good for passing? i assumed if you had stock injectors, new cat and stock ecu/boost it would have a decent chance of passing rather than stuffing around retuning it till it passes?

lol well one was a lady and too far away so couldnt see. Although the other day i was having a look into the car next to me, the girl was hot, but then they pulled me over it was undercover cops again (no p plates this time) I guess it was kind of exciting being questioned by a hot cop

A week ago on saturday night i was driving towards the city on southern cross drive. I saw a commodore flying up to me way faster than 80 and then overtook me and stopped in front of me at the traffic lights. As it initially passed me i assumed it was an undercover car as it was that blue colour like all of them, it had the steel wheels etc. Then when it pulled up in front i saw it had a red p-plate on the rear window so assumed it was just another p plater hoon trying to get a response from me. Later that night as i was turning onto george st, i saw the same car again front on, it had a p plate on the front window as well, and there were COPS INSIDE! it was kind of funny as i was staring at them with eyes wide open and they were staring back as in 'hey its them again!' lol. Anyway are police allowed to do that? Anyone seen it before? I wanted to take a picture but thought they might get annoyed!

most likely its just had the cluster changed with a lower km one, and not from a gts-t, so i doubt it was once a gts.

on the mobil site it says the 5w40 delvac oil is for diesels, is it ok for petrol engines too? please explain..?

best street pad i have used is endless na-m very little dust or noise, and excellent braking cold or hot.

firstly, what you explained sounds like fun i dont know why you are complaining. secondly, just after it drizzles a little bit the road becomes VERY slippery as oil comes to the surface of the road and is not washed away yet. so you probably got caught in that extry slippery time

as far as i know (and makes sense too) abs is not really to reduce stopping distance but more to allow steering while its doing its thing. when u lock up the wheels u have very little chance of steering but if u have abs it is a lot easier to steer the car while the brakes are pulsing. in your case u probably did not have it from factory, and personally i prefer r33 gts-ts, 300zxs, and 200sx's without abs as they all have much less feel than the same model without abs. r33gtrs in my experience still have good brake feel, they use different calipers etc which would explain the difference if not the ABS unit/software itself being much different. anothing thing that annoys me on the other nissans is that the abs kicks in too early, this is once again different on gtr's.

its easy to disable an alarm installed at a shop (not by yourself) they always install them in a similar way so i doubt it would have been on a truck, more like an experienced wanker theif got in the car and it took him a few minutes to disable the alarm, start the car and drive off. that said im really sorry to hear it, i hope u get it back and i will keep a lookout i am in that general area a fair bit i was on botany road just an hour ago!

i am interested but it looks to me like its for guys who can actually drive to start with it seems like its a race driver training/practice day rather than a general driving course. i have only done one defensive driving course before and also been on skidpan and wakefield but it seems like its only for the experts.. does anyone know if this is the case?? or is it open to beginners as well? any prerequisites?

just out of interest i believe they got the price wrong in the wheels tyre test for the federals ($148) it cant be right in that size, they must have mixed up the models. i got a set of the new dunlop sp sport maxx's on the front last week, so far i have found them quite good, but need more time to wear them in and give them my own 'tyre test' to let you guys know how they are Im assuming they will be awesome seeing that they replace the sp9000s and won the tyre test.

Also wanted to add that load sensitive vibration can also be from tyres. ie. i put a large flat spot (and one small one) in one of my tyres a few weeks ago and you could always feel a slight vibration afterwards however if you were turning (especially at higher speeds and turning hard) vibration got big and you could feel it all through the car .

Hey Mick, i was joking, i was being a smartass saying that people shouldnt do it so my own car which has a light up panel stands out The pics i have posted are of my car which has the standard nissan light up panel, i did not do that, so that is how it looks from factory which answers you last question

guys i think thats enough this thread should be closed, if u want one buy one from nissan ps. i like standing out. also on a serious note, i have found the light up panel makes highway patrols job that much easier when spotting a skyline from a distance

Its a rare factory option, not many have them so if u bought one of ebay of course chances are it wont light up...
