  1. DiRTgarage, you dont seem to realise the meaning of what you wrote, here is the meaning of hasty: Hasty - done with very great haste and without due deliberation (wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn) and in case you are not sure about deliberation, Deliberation: careful consideration; "a little deliberation would have deterred them" (wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn) AboBob did not make "in hindsight a hasty decision", so of course he is offended! I was at A1 on saturday and can confirm it did not rain there, but i nearly 100% expected it to at some stage.
  2. yeah it does i noticed that too, stupid cops and stupid person who reversed in the car (if that is in fact what heppened)
  3. That makes a lot of sense, it would be useful if they made a bolt on version. I will call them first thing tomorrow morning to find out, and either post up what they say or if they like magic can post up the answer themselves. I am surprised you had to leave it for 2 days, surely if you booked it in you could have waited while they fitted it on the spot? Brookvale is a hike for me too.
  4. it may be a stuffed damper, but it may also be the pillowball tops. i had these exact shocks, which made knocking noise just as you describe, it was not the shocks, it was just the alloy pillowball tops which wear out very quickly. u can get them new for around $400 from what i have seen but i wouldnt bother as they will wear out quickly again. clockwise is harder anti clockwise is softer, with a small hex key as merlinthehappypig has mentioned.
  5. That sounds about right, but not a few cold ones, more like a case
  6. now in the inner city and eastern suburbs it is common practice for a car with inspectors in it to drive to areas to check them, and if on the way they see illegaly parked cars they wont stop they will just write down the details and send the fine out, my dad has been caught for that at the end of my street in the same way i cant remember about the carpark.
  7. thats overkill for that sub, but in the future if you get a sub with higher power requirements it would be useful.
  8. i wouldnt get it tuned for that just for the fact that u cant get the fuel from many places, so if you go for a nice drive out to a small town of something, you wont get the right fuel. ok for a race car or something you never drive far.
  9. it really depends, on my car it cuts in at 9psi, but is ok on 7psi, but has a few mods
  10. yes, they first turn left then right as u continue through the corner, the wheels turning left as u turn in is what annoys me badly, as you said u really feel the tail swing out a bit, if anything it makes the car unstable!
  11. lol picking or popping?
  12. The brakes are definetly dont feel as good as r33 brakes (although same calipers...) but in terms of cornering speed, i would say your friend needs to improve his driving skills, and its not so much the car being slower around corners.
  13. i have the test, by Tiff Needell, its an old but good one, i doubt u will find it on the net anywhere but if you are really desperate for it i could burn it for you
  14. i have it, its worth watching, but not really the most interesting stuff, i honestly expected a bit better, but i say get it anyway!
  15. mate no body was going to die at any point in time when trying this. by corner i mean sweepers that u will find on many open roads, and also from my experience on the skidpan. If you go driving on a decent open road (usually 100 zones) u will see how annoying it is.
  16. pricing is expensive at 99/hour last i was there. most other places charge approx 80/hour.
  17. lol handbrake is gold, i just realised that if this vid matches that outside shot (it must!) then this qualifies for WELCOME TO LAST YEAR
  18. haha sounds interesting, and not far from me but only if it turns into a decent proper drive somewhere afterwards otherwise too boring
  19. that is an awesome video!!! poor guy u can see the worry on his face when he is looking around like WTF HAVE I DONE! LOL
  20. the 2.5L rex is heavier than the JDM model, and yes the engine is not as tough as the 2.0L
  21. i disagree with you on this point, i understand that it might make the turn in feel sharper on medium speed corners, but high speed cornering say 100-140km/h it makes the car feel unstable, this thought is shared by a few passengers in my car and even someone driving behind it who has seen how the hicas moves the rear of the car on turn in. not safe at all!
  22. most regular rexes run approx 1bar even 90's models.
  23. haha ok ill let u have that one
