  1. they dont overheat, its just that the heat in the engine bay takes its toll on other components.
  2. if you get a good one it will be quicker stock for stock than a 33gts-t, also stock for stock they handle better IMHO. harder to work on than skylines but not too bad, with a lot of similar stuff in them. just remember most of them are a lot older than say r33's (which people seem to compare them too) so the age is the cause of a lot of things going wrong since most of them are 89-93 models. interior is also an older design when compared to an r33.
  3. ive got 3 of them at home all the same brand i cant remember what brand, but i bought them from kmart, they come in different colours are were approx 8 bucks each as far as i remember! they fold up and have elastic to keep them folded.
  4. go to www.torrentspy.com and either search or go to the directory and navigate to tv shows then top gear.
  5. first episode was good, although who thinks the ascari is dissapointing? i saw a review of this in the prototype stage in EVO magazine a year or two back seemed ok, and seeing the finished product to me just seems underwhelming. i dont think it has the looks to be a real supercar, and i think it will have trouble selling due to the looks and the BMW engine. the 3 car comparo shows just how good the 911 is, although they keep on referring to POWER when they should be referring to power/weight, made them all sound stupid to me!
  6. awesome, thanks for the info!
  7. hey, the only thing that i have seen that is similar is when they are illustrating how fast a mclaren f1 is, they do this by having a drag race between a r33 gtr and a mclaren f1, and it wasnt an actual comparison just a drag race.
  8. If you read magic's posts in the link i posted they clearly state the cat is CARB compliant so it does its job just as well as any other proper cat, i would not take the thread on saw too seriously as the person involved did not back up any of their claims. Also the post on nissansilvia by magic clearly shows that a lot of what was said in the sau thread about epa approved lists etc. was a load of BS, as confirmed by the epa, you could ring them yourself to check. even if you have a good cat it does not mean ur car will pass, as it has a lot to do with tuning as well so the cat becomes irrelevant a lot of the time. Ill remove you from the list, but hopefully u will re think it.
  9. that would be good, well maybe you could buy the magic cat now before the group buy ends, then buy the pipe later so at least u save some money on the cat.
  10. Edited
  11. im sure they could install it for you, just give them a call. normal install is $90 about the two weeks, i will close it as soon as we get 10 people, or at the end of next week, sorry!
  12. thanks for the link, always hard sifting through search results! that has the zoom result in it too if people want to see.
  13. So are you in for one? If you follow the link in my first post which points to a thread on nissan silvia you can read all you need to know about them, straight from MAGIC performance themselves.
  14. sounds good, where is this tuning course? most places charge between 130-150(MAX) per hour to tune in nsw anyway, so a 4 hour tune would be generally around 550 and with cam gears say 700 and thats at the most... so 1000 for a tune should get u more than 4 hours if that is the tune that was quoted for $1000.
  15. join in, might as well get some extra easy performance out of your 32 while you still have it
  16. hey guys, i am trying to organise a group buy for magic cats, have a look in the group buy section, if we get 10 people its a very good price, 210 delivered anywhere for the 4inch version.
  17. Hey mate, i rung them to ask for you, and they will offer the 5' version you want for $450, the retail is $550.
  18. they have a similar design as the catco metal cats, so performance would be comparable. although you should read up and make up your own mind if you are worried. Either way you wont find a higher flowing cat than one of this design, may it be a catco or a magic cat (stainless steel mesh inside)
  19. i am seeing if people are interested in a group buy for magic cats, so if you need one go to the group buy section and have a look
  20. I spoke to MAGIC performance, who offered to supply their 4' cats for $210 delivered if 10 are bought at once. The workshop is in Brookvale, Sydney Im sure you all know about the cats, if not, they are the best type you can buy, with coated stainless steel mesh inside. 21. also was busy, studying (sleeping)
  22. and i bet u when u ask them how long a tune that will be for they will say all day (yeah right, i have seen a few 'all day tunes')
  23. are they cheap over there? i would prefer to get one of them if they were the same price as the lock bar, due to the power assistance issues with r33's, which is why i still have not made up my mind to get a lock bar.. maybe u could get me one too
  24. truck is definetly the best way, if a theif really wants something quick and easily they wont stuff around with ur alarm they will just put it on a truck and leave quicksmart which means that if you are really worried about your cars security either dont leave it anywhere or get a tracker as chris has said many times
  25. from my own experience: jaycar 6.5's dont fit jl audio 6.0's dont fit kenwood 6.5's do fit (in the stock door plastic pods)
