  1. i run two amps, i have one cable for each amp coming from the battery, different size and an appropriate fuse for each amp. for the earths i have used the same size as the power cable back to the battery. i dont like the splitter boxes because if you have a system that draws a fair amount of current, its good to have good joins between cables, such as clamping them down in the battery terminals (proper ones not the original jap ones!) whereas the splitter boxes only have a small contact area and dont clamp down very well. if you have a smaller system(sounds like u have) it wont matter so splitter box will make things a bit easier
  2. ill be sure to steal from the hat
  3. slightly off topic, but how much is the redline motor oil for 5L? or how much per litre?
  4. i also have a 5750 although i got it locally, it fits well into an r33 and is the cheapest headunit with good features.
  5. i put the crossovers in the end of the map pockets where u cant see them, although i had to trim the top off them because they were originally too high. in relation to the speakers, i cut out mdf and screwed that to the door onto which the speaker is drilled, so a very solid mount compared to mounting on the stock plastic mount.
  6. mass, i love a good burnout, in fact i was convincing a friend to finish off the rest of his remaining tyres(getting new ones 2morrow) tonight, in a private area but he wouldnt do it! thats me in my avatar enjoying a good smoke I now wont do burnouts because i got t1-rs they cost a lot and have lots of grip so even if i dump it at 5 grand it launches, i need another set of rims to put my old tyres on for some action! Or just lend me your car
  7. i reckon doing burnouts or acting stupid around your house, or your mates house(unless he specifies he wants it ) is like shitting in your own backyard, im always extra careful when neighbours can see me.
  8. +7 is just about 1bar
  9. check out the guy in the background having a perve, caught out on camera, i think he wants to dip his wang
  10. i also had some thoughts about the safety of some areas, fences would not do much in the event of a big off..i wish the forum gallery would work for the pics i for today.. i got no space left for webhosting.. i am a lot darker as well due to the sun exposure.. also i park3ed next to a white r33 gtst, series 2 with powerplay stickers just like my car, wondering if it was anybody here?
  11. i got the sun hearald deal, two tickets for the price of one
  12. u have no idea(about the trip)!!! i was the one carrying bloody heavy deck chairs out of the group, they destroyed my shoulders lugging them around!! i think the best spot is up on the hill in the middle of the track, but there is no speakers there for commentary. its nearly 5am now i hope i can stay awake at the race 2morrow!
  13. Qualifying was ok, i made a quick gallery of some pics from today. I would use the forum gallery but the stupid thing wont let me upload. http://users.tpg.com.au/pradip
  14. jaycar amp is 249 normally, if you buy a few of them u can get them for as low as 199(look on website) and bridged it will only run 4ohm.
  15. Mate, i think you have the wrong idea, have you actually tried this? And to r33zilla your shocks are probably already stuffed, and if you put 2inch low springs in i can assure you it will be much worse. If you care about handlng you wont lower the car more than 1inch. Also jap coilovers are not suited to most peoples uses, and you could most definetly get better ride and handling from shocks and springs you choose yourself locally ie the groupbuy at the moment, or like myself bilsteins and whiteline springs. go to https://www.whiteline.com.au/ have a read of the article related to skylines.
  16. i think the jaycar 2x150 would be a good choice, bridged it gives 500wrms. I am using this amp with a sub that has similar power requirements, and was going to use it if i got a w3.
  17. i will be there i have a 3 day GA pass, so will def go on saturday and sundy but not sure about friday. we should all meet up somewhere and take over a good spot as a group
  18. it may be a bearing on one of the pulleys, listen for the noise with the bonnet up, ie on my car the power steering pump makes a funny noise when the idle gets low but goes away with a few more revs.
  19. well if it was me, i would take it as a good chance to get rid of it. it allows easier access for a theif and your are much better off driving easy for the last few mins before u turn the car off rather than letting it idle.
  20. i sold my HKS hyper-Ds for 500 plus shipping to a member of this forum, and bought whiteline springs/shocks and new dust covers and also strut tops all up i think it was about 1250 and i installed myself, so 750 to upgrade the suspension. dont forget u will need the stock strut tops if your coilovers come with their own, so dont arrange to sell them and get new suspension without them. btw lately i have seen them for sale on ebay, when i got mine it look me a long time to find a set and in the end bought them of someone off the forum who bought coilovers.
  21. i went through the same dilema, either a series 3 type x 180sx or a r33 series 2, i had previously owned an r33 and bought another one. I did not like the way the 180sx drove, and how the interior was cheap and flimsy and the chassis did not feel as stiff as the r33.
  22. thats a fair amount of money for each tyre, for that much i would expect top of the range bridgestones, i think you should shop around, and u will find average tyres for around 250 and very good tyres from about 330 each. read the thread in the suspension forum about tyres (sticky thread) and u will see what others use and have paid.
  23. waste of money, how are u finding the t1-rs?
