  1. hey mate, i had your exact problem and found them after several months or searching, but lately i have seen them for sale on ebay, so if you look there im sure thats pretty much the only place you will find them easily, i wish i had looked
  2. Mercedes SL55AMG on oxford st, red p plater, but looked like dad was in the passenger seat. Also saw a guy in a bmw m roadster red p plates just today. Ive seen heaps over the years but cant remember, there is quite a few p platers in expensive euro sports cars around the eastern suburbs..
  3. to give you and idea i paid 99 for a regas from a mobile service he came to my house and did it, as well as checking the whole system for leaks. just look at yellow pages and you will see heaps of mobile services just ring one and see how they sound.
  4. There is a massive difference, and the car will be faster for sure, but then again, since i got some t1-rs to replace my old yokos(had gone off) i sort of miss the car being edgy and powerslides Now the rear of the car is simply stuck.
  5. I used a scraper i got from a hardware store to clean pistons in an rb25, they were very crusty so went through like 3 scrapers for 6 pistons I moved the piston i was cleaning to TDC when cleaning it to not get crap in the bores, just do that. I have added some pictures for your amusement

It is 100% reasonable, just have a nice chat to them they will probably fix it up for you, if they refuse well you will have to fight it out. i find that you usually have to stress the fact that you want a perfect job and you WILL be unsatisfied if anything is wrong before they start. I would be pissed if they drove my car more than they had to, i would expect a couple of hundred metres at most when moving it around every day but not a few km..
  7. Good to hear you got yours fixed, how bad was the damage, did it cost a lot to repair? And what was exactly wrong?

The police wont come to the scene of an accident or even bother with a report if you go into the station in most cases unless there is suspected drugs/alcohol, a major (violent) issue or if some one has been hurt. i am talking about NSW it may be different in other states but thats how it is here. Also i think the other guy was confused and meant 3rd party property(not compulsory), which does have a feature where it covers you for a few thousand dollars if you are hit by an uninsured person.
  9. You have to send him a letter of demand. If you call or drop into any insurance agency they will give you a template for free. You fill out this letter with his details, and two quotes, then he legally has to reply within two weeks with some sort of answer. At that stage usually the other party will just pay up, especially small amounts such as the 900 you need. So thats how to start the process of getting your money back.
  10. my boot light never turned off, which was one thing that affected the battery dying quickly, maybe check for that.
  11. Hey, Yes just after i passed you guys, i got onto the old pac. I try and stay away from freeway, it puts me to sleep! I did recognise you as to who u are on here because of your plates, but we were on the road, so hi anyway! I took it very easy on the way back though, as i knew that some bad things had happened earlier, i saw fresh flowers on one corner, and im assuming that is where the poor rider went off.

  14. WOT stand for Wide Open Throttle, and sometimes a tuner will just tune the part of the map that is used for WOT and leave the rest, which is used for driving other than when u are flooring it.. So this can make it safe and fast at WOT but when driving around normally it wont be optimal. The afrs seem normal, but i cant really comment because each tuner seems to have different opinions when it comes to AFRs.
  15. well only wierd thing i found when using the ajdustement on the whole map is that as far as i can tell it affects the idle as well, so the idle is going a bit funny sometimes with the extra timing.
  16. Yes.. And if the map in areas other than WOT was not tuned (as it seems by the spiking) then when u turn the boost down it wont be optimal, but yeah if the whole map is done then it will be ok.

Post up the AFR graph when you get it, im interested to see how they are And with the boost, i would not expect the stock turbo to hold 13psi all the way to the redline, just as the graph shows. Also with the lack of extra acceleration off boost, they probably did a full throttle tune, with not much work on the rest of the map, were u there when they tuned it?

The deal with mine is i got the car with the powerfc in it, the previous owner had it tuned(i have the reciept for it) but i think the tuner screwed him over and instead of tuning it just backed off the base timing with the CAS. Recently i took it to a tuning shop and the tuner said it looks like the base map so its probably the case. Also i have ran the car a few times and the MPH and times are not much better than a stock car. So i dont know 100% if it has been tuned at all or partially, but i do know i will get it retuned as soon as i can afford to get it going like it should!!! It should be a shitload faster, most cars with same mods run around 105-106mph where i only run 99. paul, sorry to hear about your powerfc, hopefully its a simple fix.

  20. lately i have been using the master timing correction up to 5 degrees and it knocks no more than usual (nothing, always under 15) have noticed only a very slight increase in response and coming onto boost but does not feel any quicker. I will get it retuned soon so just having a fiddle atm. I am not sure whether to try more as 4-5 degrees seems a lot. I have a feeling my timing has been retarded at the CAS, and the pfc untuned hence the richness and no power.

  24. when they wear u will hear knocking/clunking noises. from apparently they wear out very quickly. i know that for hks coilovers u can buy new ones, they are not cheap, UAS sells them.
