  1. well if u got the pulsar one it would have only been $31 i have a pioneer 5750 HU the silver surround fits very snug but it needed a bit of persuation at first to stick in
  2. yes it was three and i found it pretty annoying as lots of things i want to search for are 3 letters, say i want to search for AFM in the title of threads, it was not possible. also i dont think wildcards were supported as they never worked for me. the search function was/is crap.
  3. i also go to and and suggest heasmans, i dont go anywhere else for suspension or alignment work and they have done a good job for me anyway.
  4. hi duncan, ive noticed you comment about hire cars a couple of times, this interests me i wanted to ask you, if you do happen to take a wrong exit and end up at a wakefield park track day in a hire car, is there any problem with using it? ie. do they check the rego to see its in your name when u sign up or it doesnt matter? also which hire car do you reccommend, i always thought a manual mx5 would be best but lately noticed you can only get crap like convertible astras! ??
  5. the ems number is not valid until the item leaves the country, so even if it has been posted the ems number will not always show up. my pod filter took one month to arrive after i paid, just as an example of how long things can take, so in comparison, you are not doing too bad
  6. i also have this headunit, and installed it myself about a month ago. it fits perfect in the r33 mounting bracket, and the silver surround also fits well, no gaps.
  7. thanks for that. i had already seen that but i missed the minimum diameter column silly me. well i measured mine a couple of months ago at 29mm, original is 30 and minimum is 28 so i guess they should be ok for another set of pads when the time comes.
  8. does anyone know the minimum thickness for a standard r33 gtst rotor? or generally how many mm till u should replace them from new? i ask because i measured mine a while back but did not know exactly what the min thickness should be.
  9. the din pocket u need for r33s is the same as in current pulsars, which is $32 from nissan, so i dont see how u got quoted 60, must have been the wrong one. if u look in the sticky guide on how to install a head unit in this forum, it also says there u need a pulsar pocket. good luck fitting the one u got anyway!
  10. nothing new, try living in the city and u will redefine what u think crazy driving is
  11. all public carparks are bad for that, as often there is a good selection of cars and most of the time no one is watching. i try and avoid even shopping centre carparks let alone the private car parks around the city!

    Nasho Run?

good idea, time edited out at least...
  13. and meanwhile, all the IT students browse internet forums (another stereotype, which is more true for the workforce)

    Nasho Run?

well since it rained today i doubt it will be completely dry. i dont like puddles along that road at night, even though travelling at the posted speed limit if i come on friday it would have to be late (usual time for me)
  15. funny you say that, as i hate maths, so u might be right about that, BUT i will still stick to the fact that there is something wrong going on in most of your brains, most irrational creations or anything stupid at uni is the cause of engineering students.

    Nasho Run?

how about this weekend if it is good weather, i planned on going for a drive maybe sunday, ill pm u if i do, or if u are keen or are planning something just post up here since i think my pm box is full atm (by heaps since pm box sizes have not been set properly yet!)
  17. THATS IT, ecl's car is not welcome in front of my building anymore!!!!! engineering guys are all irrational
  18. thats mine <{POST_SNAPBACK}> lol i should have known since i saw your car when i met u to buy the boost gauge off you!! oh well i know now, so ill make sure no one steals your stickers btw do u do IT at uts?

    Nasho Run?

looks like it will be damp anyway since the bad weather today, probably not a good idea, maybe if its hot 2morrow so it dries out i might be interested.
  20. im always around building 10, but usually walk there as its close and i hate parking my car anywhere especially in the city because stuff like this happens, shonen which car is yours, ill keep a lookout for it whenever im around.. the only one that comes to mind outside building 10 is a white 34 gtt with stickers on it, auto. is that yours?
  21. i thought my afm (s2 rb25) was maxxing out too early, so assumed the afm was stuffed, it would max out at about 6500 in second gear with 10psi, and a lot less power than some others with afms that were not maxxing out. i swapped it and tried it out today, the afm i swapped it with gives out the exact same readings as my original one. i dont know if both are stuffed or thats just how they are. with the stock ecu at 10psi the afm must have been reading high as it went into r&r mode at about 4500rpm. i know of other cars with same mods as mine but stock ecu that dont go into r&r at 10psi at all. so im not sure, afm or something else?
  22. when tyres are brand new they are all slippery due to the oily stuff thats on them. usually after about 200 or 300kms they will get a lot grippier so dont worry yet

    car accident

dont expect the cops to help, in my experience they never have for me or others i know. i have pretty much figured out that unless someone really gets hurt or there is drugs/alcohol involved, they dont give a crap.
  24. either your turbo is a hiflow and u dont know it, or else the dyno was ready very high, as 220rwkw is not possible with your mods, specifically the stock turbo. maybe try another dyno. btw. what psi were u running?
  25. i have one fitted to my car, it stopped working about a month ago, any ideas on what could be wrong? i have checked all wiring its all fine. ill attach a pic so u know what it looks like, sorry about the quality, taken from one moving car to another, with a mobile phone!
