  1. i ordered an apexi power intake about 2 months ago, it took one month from the day i ordered it.
  2. best place is heasmans www.heasmans.com.au they are on the princess hwy before tempe tyres when going away from the city. usually have to book so give them a ring beforehand
  3. i would say they are impul ns-gt like these ones: a trader on nissansilvia is selling a set if u want some here is the link http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...showtopic=95329
  4. most gas shocks make gassy sounds like that, and the stock gtr shocks are gas so it could be normal, unless it is very loud!
  5. fitted mine 2 days ago, works well, my previous bleed valve for some reason used to let the boost creep up 1psi as the revs got higher, so at lower revs it was 1psi lower than i wanted. with the new controller it holds exactly 10psi the whole time, much better
  6. car polish is ok, if u use metal polish u can get results a lot easier, try brasso or something similar.
  7. on an r33 the front lens is plastic not glass so im not sure if it is a good idea.
  8. metal polish such as brasso works good as well.
  9. +7(all the way up the stock gauge) is one bar or about 14.7psi
  10. thats a good explanation of what to do, its what i was going to say! look for plastic welding around the front of the car as sign of minor front end accidents.. most imports have been resprayed, or at least a large part of the car has been painted.. probably more important than minor accident damage is rust, check for sgins of corrosion around the engine bay on the alloy parts, there is a lot of rusty imports around, they usually paint the whole car so its not obvious but u can tell especially by looking in the engine bay, boot and under the car (either rusty or covered in fresh tar)
  11. dont get the jap stuff. the springs will be too hard and the shocks are usually not suited to our conditions. stick with your bilsteins and whiteline springs.
  12. yeah i get that sometimes too, or it gets damaged. definetly the worst feeling, but then its ok once i wake up
  13. so u dont drink?? i never drive to these things, alcohol=enjoyment
  14. probably coming too
  15. read the other thread about them but yes there are many things that go wrong with them, mainly i would say due to age, and also heat in the engine bay (not so much an issue since u are buying an N/A) they are high maintenance and i would not consider one unless you do the work on it yourself, otherwise you will be paying big $$ to take car of it, with no promise of good quality work. although they may be cheap to buy, thats not the case with the maintenance so be aware of that.
  16. i personally see z32 as more of a luxury yacht, where as an r33 is a regular boat. with that in mind, maybe you should join Cruising Yacht Club of Australia :innocent:
  17. i thought u were going to buy a stag, and already bought parts from nengun for it, as you mentioned in another thread: "Hey Lone, just read the article on autospeed, do Stags really accelerate that fast? Anyways, I have been doing some shopping on Nengun and have already purchased some parts, heres what I bought. Blitz - V-Spec LM Intercooler Greddy/Trust - Power Extreme II Muffler HKS - Super SQV Kit" so you are buying a stag with your own money(as you also mentioned before), have parts bought from nengun lying around, and now your parents are buying you a golf r32?
  18. i was speaking to a friend last night, he recently bought a VX clubsport(5.7L 255kw) and ran it at calder, its completely stock best he could get was 13.9@100mph dont know about driver skill whether he is good or not, but you would need a modified gtst to keep up with that. DEAD stock gtsts will struggle to run within 1sec of that.
  19. 326s are crap, the toyo transpath are better than them for sure. as i remember, the sidewalls are stiff enough, but they still soak up bumps ok, they are not harsh, also they are not noisy.
  20. how many kms did u get out of them?
  21. sunroof was most definetly offered in series two from the factory i have seen a few of them.
  22. yeah thats right even if urs dont have the slots machined into them, u can take them to a suspension shop and they can do it for u it wont cost much. my bilsteins only came with the one circlip position. also the spring seats were very tight (did not fit!) onto a pair of the shocks we had to trim the inside of the seat with a dremel to make them fit.
  23. i had transpath something or other on my old car, they gripped well since the car was close to stock, so ok for the price.. a bit slippery in the wet though! and i think they are quite soft, as mine wore out to the thread in 15000kms :innocent:
  24. not sure what they are but i have whiteline springs and bilsteins in my car everything else standard so far (apart from braces font and rear) whiteline calls it the sports kit the ride is similar to other stock cars ive been in only slightly firmer (i bought mine with hks coilovers got rid of them quickly) but the compromise is good between comfort and handling. im pretty sure if u got the handling kit as well it would be perfect for trackwork, and you could adjust the handling by changing settings on the swaybars too. stock r33 suspension feels like jelly under hard acceleration a higher speeds, with the whiteline springs/shocks the car is much more stable on the road and precise. sorry dont know the spring rates though! just call whiteline.
