  1. so its U who steals them before owners get them!!!!! my old car had one, other than that i have rarely seen them, i guess the importers have all the fun!!!!!!
  2. yeah i get shit called out only from enthnic looking people (and i am not australian looking anyway!!) all the time in the city, and i live in the city so cant avoid some parts to get places... sometimes they call out stuff that im ok with ("rip it up!!") but more than often its stuff that i wouldnt mention here! and its always from groups of guys never one, they are all pussies because if they were so friken hard they be d**kheads on their own too and i never see that. i always avoid the main cbd area or most of the time avoid the city altogether on fridays and saturdays now because its infested by d**kheads and cops, who are no doubt looking to defect that said, i have always been polite to cops and they have been mostly polite to me at RBTs, only been pulled over once randomly in recent times, cop seemed like a nice guy, but did look for defects (he looked in my front bar for an intercooler, which i have, and he didnt see ) just avoid the well known trouble areas and you should be fine, (and i am a p plater)
  3. try and slip it hard (4-5000rpm) for a few seconds might get rid of the shudder, otherwise yes a lot of hd clutches shudder, i have a brass button so know all a bout it
  4. lol thats funny good work.
  5. Hey, i paid 635 delivered from sau trader newkon.biz.. but i believe he has updated the thread with info that he has no more stock, so i guess you could ask him when he is getting more, he gets them from japan direct not from the aus distributor, which is why they are cheap. the cheapest i have seen locally is around 900 as well. i have had the spitfires in for a week now, they work fine, back to full power and maybe a little more Its good to see your fix is still holding up! i guess mine had gone too far already, and it was not one, but three of them that were stuffed!
  6. the data is stored in the actual unit, and only a certain amount of time is stored, so old data is pushed out as new data is pushed in. it is only accessible by using a password after dialing in from a modem.
  7. Thats BS at least for most tracking systems if not all. so if you know them why dont you turn them in?
  8. Hey, im pretty sure its just for forum members too ie. just mention sau and they will see what they can do, speak to john(boss) the springs and shocks are just what i was hoping for, car rolls less and is a lot easier to drive, ride is similar to standard ride. only complaint is the front end feels less precise and stuck, although u do get some stabilising understeer before the tail comes out, so plenty of warning.. also when the front/rear comes out they slide nice and smooth, just overall making the car easy to drive, especially on bumpy(ALL) roads i used to have coilovers and there is no way i could have rounded corners as quick or as stable as i do now..
  9. Used to have HKS hyper-D, they were too stiff for my liking, and did not offer a good compromise between grip and comfort.. since about 2 weeks ago i have whiteline springs (25mm low) bilstein shocks Searched lots to get stock strut tops!! cost was 1140 for shocks and springs, plus 80 for new dust covers, and 60 for strut tops and bump stops, i installed them myself with a friend.. so with all the bits and pieces $1280 and i got a 4 wheel alignment (not always necessary) for $110
  10. 3 of mine died at the same time, 2 more badly than the other one. you can see quite easily which one it is by taking the cover off and watching them in the dark while the car it hot, you can see blue flashes as the spark arcs to the metal frame surrounding the coil.. try that method, it worked fine for me. and in the end even after aralditing which did not work, i got spitfires. they have been in since friday and the problem is gone, plus performance is more responsive, i dunno about much more outright power though(like 10rwkw!), it feels like only a little bit when compared to before the coils started dying.
  11. you can get the whiteline sports pack (springs and shocks) from UAS with sau discount.. comes to around ~1215 but can add up to more once u buy dust covers if needed (i got 4 new ones) which are not cheap, around 20-25 each
  12. i nearly got taken out by a pintara tonight, going onto the bridge northbound, if you take second from the left lane, two lanes merge into one. the right lane has a stip to the right of it and there is a sign saying merge left... a car that must have been further back decided they wanted to sit in my blind spot (i was in the lane that keeps going) and they didnt realise that they had to merge, so they were next to the rear of my car and had to lock them up to stop hitting the side of me or the strip. idiots... also tonight a motorcyclist decided to think about overtaking while turning right behind me (only one lane for turning) nearly took themselves out on my rear quarter panel. i guess there were lots of too keep drivers around tonight.
  13. good luck mate.. im always worried about mine too! i see people always mention 'did the alarm have black wiring' when cars get stolen... well you will know if you have ever installed an alarm, it doest really matter if they are black, or how expensive the alarm is, its more to do with how much effort and time is put into the install.
  14. i put in whiteline springs and bilsteins a week ago, it took about 45 mins to remove the coilovers.. i found it very easy (with a friend who had done it before) to put them him, the only problem was: as you said, the bottom plate for the springs would not go on for the rear shocks. the fronts went on easy. i called whiteline they said it happens sometimes, and if there was a shart edge they sometimes need to grind it off.. There were no sharp edges, the hole was just too small!! so we used to dremel to grind the hole out a bit more and them it all went well. (i did try and use the 'persuader' at first ) all up fitting took about 4 hours including removing and refitting the interior.. the whiteline springs didnt need to be compressed to fit in..
  15. Hey THATS ME!!!!! someone finally spotted me and its actually APU-27L
  16. 136rwkw seems high for a stock 300zx manual though. at one dyno day i went to i saw a few 300zx manuals all pull around 125-130rwkw i was scared because i thought my r33 was only good for that.. my near stock r33 pulled 165rwkw which was definetly way higher than usual on that same day.
  17. there was an article in motor magazine from a few years back that had a lot of info about top fuel dragsters as well, very impressive
  18. the belkin fm transmitters are crap i bought one and returned it after one day.. the signal was not strong enough for the cd player to get more than about 30 seconds before fuzzing out and in again. it would probably be better if you did not live in a cbd area..
  19. i have never seen on (even with an exhaust) run better than a high 14 so once again as someone else said to answer the question asked in this thread, rex is no doubt faster.
  20. you will not be able to reach close to 250rwkw with a hi flowed standard turbo, you will need something bigger, such as a gtrs or a 2540 and yes you should get a power fc otherwise its a bit of a waste (power and petrol) first thing you should get is a power fc
  21. way to expensive even if it is a very clean car
