  1. it has worked well on my previous r33, i recently put it in my new one, but as benm says it takes around 500kms to make a big difference but so far its already better(only driven maybe 100km) gbox took about 2.8L, i just fill it till it reaches the hole.. diff took 1.3L, didnt use redline, used castrol, heavier weight.
  2. hey ben, i have noticed that you have mentioned a 10rwkw gain on your car from just the spitfires, its a bit hard for me to believe, so could you please explain the circumstances ie. if there was a dyno run directly before and after u fitted them on the same dyno or whatever..?? (i just expect my car to run properly again when i put mine in!)
  3. do you have the reciept for warranty?
  4. lol ok.. yeah its best to get a dry filter...
  5. its not that hard, i did it on the weekend with a friend (changed coilovers to springs/shocks) while my friend was ready to slide the strut on, i stood on the hub while holding onto the bootlid and could get it down easy (i weigh 84 so u should be able to easy)
  6. above 80-90km/h for me..
  7. Hey mate, relax with the CAPS i taped plastic pieces between the coils and the frame as a last resort, this lessened the misfiring, but as the car got hotter it was pretty much the same as before, and oh yeah, the plastic started melting that was my last resort, so yesterday i just ordered a set of spitfires. ($$)
  8. for all the non believers
  9. Just because the gauge reads different does not mean the oil is not good, do a search to find out about that.. last oil i got was valvoline fully synthetic 10/40 from supercheap, including filter was about $45(20% off sale )
  10. well the shocks are not specific to whiteline, apparently they are off the shelf items from bilstein, so you can probably get them cheaper direct.. as for springs, you could also try king springs, but the whiteline springs are not too expensive (around 350) anyway.. there are a lot of options in terms of springs, but i believe that bilsteins are best suited for an r33 in our conditions... and yes you will need a camber kit if you want to drop it heaps, most suspension places will be able to sell you these...
  11. lowering any more than 25mm will stuff things up according to whiteline.. read the article on the r33 on their website.. i used to have coilovers and now have whiteline suspension(25mm drop) and it looks and handles good..
  12. i araldited my coils on the weekend and it did not help, coils 1, 3 and 6 are still arcing to the metal frame surrounding them...
  13. labour for most things is a lot more than for an r33, and s15 would be even cheaper than an r33 to work on or very similar. also more things can go wrong, such as turbos.. basically if you break something and dont fix it youself it will cost you more on a gtr by far when compared to a gtst or an s15, but normal maintenence costs are similar.
  14. my friend had the settings he thought would be right on a piece of paper, i drove the car/watched the boost guage while he changed the settings, we were in a 100 zone and that was more or less enough to get it right, i dont think you really need a dyno..
  15. why are you thinking about rebuilding? is your engine stuffed?
  16. helped set up one in a friends car, worked perfectly
  17. correct, it doesnt really matter if the wires are black its easy to trace them back and pretty easy to tell which wires are for the alarm, especially the way that most are installed.
  18. just get your solicitor to represent you in court and see how it goes, definetly try.. but before that you can write a letter appealing the suspension, although this usually doesnt do much. if you are on full license you can be placed in a probationary period where they give u 1 point for 6(?) months, if you lose it then you lose your licence for twice as long. just look at the rta web site for more details..
  19. that sounds like a good option to me too..
  20. do you know around about how much it will be, and where it will be done?
  21. and massa is crap lol so probably not much patience.
  22. lol!
  23. that was the best race so far this year i reckon, de la rosa was good to watch the whole time, probably because he didnt have much to lose!
  24. in an r33 with rb25det when the light starts flashing on and off there is 15 litres left.. when it turns permanently on there is 10L left. so around 100km.
