u guys who are saying 201 is really high, well dynos are really meant for tuning, and its well known that figures vary a lot between dynos, so u cant say 201 is too high, because in that case, why is it too high? where is your control point? just as a guide (not to take away from how powerful the car may be...) most people say that a gts-t with just a cat back is good for about 130rwkw.. well at the place that ron15h had his dyno done, (unigroup if im not mistaken) they say that most near stock gts-ts produce around 145-155 rwkw. i got my car dynoed there.. 96 gts-t with in box filter, and (resrictive because of defect) cat back exhaust. the figure was 165rwkw.. so you could say that this car for sale is capable of producing around 20% more power than stock. this would be an easier way to measure things up rather than dyno figures from all over the place

i have been shopping with george, and he is not shopping on price, he is just not shopping to get ripped off. im not here to argue with you, but if you dont have something useful to say dont bother. actually, nothing you could say in this thread could be useful anymore because, we went to inspect a gtr yesterday, from Japp Imports in liverpool, and he bought it the guys there were helpful, honest and reasonable in every way, unlike some other places we have seen

when the car is turned on why would the battery affect anything? as the alternator is supplying enough voltage for everything so how could the ecu 'sense poor voltage'??
-
i have a feeling that like someone said, montoya will thinking to himself *suck shit MS i just took you out*... its not like they are the best of buddies anyway! marjanal, im pretty sure it was the end of the tunnel. (i clearly remember the safety car just about to come out of the tunnel when the accident occurred) we should organise sau F1 group viewings.. i always have friends over at my place or i go to a friends place and a group of us watch.. then we can sit an argue together
-
the marshals last night had a deathwish for sure.. and im with duncan in saying that ms and montoya were both a bit dumb, but i think the blame still really lies with montoya, he was behind, and he is meant to be looking in front of him since he was going forward at that time in the race!
-
yeah thats for sure.. OWNED while behind a safety car, unbelievable!!~!!! at least trulli won though, imean i support MS and ferrari, but someone else has to win sometime, and i think trulli is a deserving winner...
-
I dont think MS hit the brakes very hard, its just that the brakes were cold, so they were grabby, plus after the race they mentioned that the tunnel is quite slippery, when going slow(no downforce) so a combination of slippery surface and cold brakes would have caused the lockup, lockups are not uncommon, and come on, montoya must not have been paying attention!
-
i rekon eh! imagine the view from the safety cars mirrors...the driver must have been like WTF are they doing! anyway im off to sleep now, got class 2morrow morning!
-
who watched the f1 tonight, im a ferrari follower, and i reckon if damn montoya had paid more attention in the tunnel michael wouldnt have been wiped out. so DAMNITT! damn montoya! and barri is just stupid, always making excuses for being crap eh!

sounds good, im in, we could have a SAU collection of cars for communal thrashing what i dont get is, if dealers realise that a customer knows that they are talking shit, why dont they stop talking it, so they *MIGHT* actually make a sale! especially on these types of cars, im sure they dont sell many GTRs in a year!
-
LOL what a random comment there is another website with info on this car, when i remember it i will post it, but i know for a fact it isnt the one posted.. i somehow came across it about a month ago. and now its not 240k as far as i remember it is a lot less. maybe.
-
I could not believe the way those dealers today acted, u would think that after realising that we were not idiots, they would revert to telling the truth so maybe we would actually buy the car! ive always heard about shonky car dealers, but this was my first real life experience.... when you are buying an 8 year old twin turbo 4wd imported sports car that is commonly used for track/drag racing u gotta be on your guard

Can you identify this steering wheel?
siksII replied to blackline's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
That is not a series 2 stock wheel!! it is either not a full series 2(ie its a series 1.5 as people say) or it has been changed does the rest of your car have the series 2 features, ie, seat trim, dash, bonnet, front bar, headlights.. etc.. ? check the build date of your car (on the aus compliance place) which might show thats its an early 1996 model.. here is an interior picture of my ex series 2 gts-t (1996 build) -
the website is still up, and has a picture of the car, with the heading/info 1996 series 2 vspec. its not a parramatta road dealer, its a well known import dealer in the north. we already had our fun with a dealer on parra road, he wanted 60 grand(!!!) for a 1996 series 2 gtr vspec ( a real series 2 this time...) with 55000kms on an aftermarket nismo dash.. we gave him an offer, it was too low for him, so in his words he 'educated us' about import cars and how his car is worth 60 grand for like 25minutes! we got lectured! but he was not rude so we just sat there and took it....

id post which dealer it is but i dont want to get moderated!

just sharing an experience which i just had. A friend of mine is looking for an R33GTR, so we found an add for one about 2 weeks ago: AD DETAILS: MAKE/MODEL: Nissan Skyline GTR YEAR: 1996 PRICE: $39,670.00 Nissan Skyline GTR Godzilla 1996 Series II, magnificent vehicle, full of extras, with warranty and finance available, on special $39670 when we called they said this car was silver. We asked a friend(has a gtr) who had already seen this car how it was, and he said it was a series one, 1995 model, and was not worth seeing, as the engine had been out etc. so we did not bother going to see it. just a few days ago, we looked on the car dealers website, and they had this ad: Skyline R33 V-Spec 96 model, R33 GTR V-Spec, 80,000km's, after market exhaust, air filter, 18 inch mag wheels, rare color in gun metal grey, very neat car. $43,980 This sounded good, so we went to see it. this is where is gets interesting, and i am only posting exactly what happened, not making up things from my point of view. we turned up, and as stated, it was gunmetal grey. the compliance plate showed it was a 1995 model, not a 1996.. the dash and steering wheel were 1995 items, although it had dual airbags(option) . the car was also a Non-Vspec,. we realised that they had posted an incorrect advertisement, and this was in fact the car that we had been advised agaisnt already! our conversation with the dealer: Us:We thought it was a 1996 series 2, is this the right car? Dealer:It is a 1996 series 2 us:but it has a series one dash and steering wheel, and the compliance plate says it was built in 1995 dealer:it is a series 2, only the gts-ts have a different dash and steering wheel(incorrect!) and it was built in december 1995, thats when the series 2 came out, everyone knows that! Ive been in the industry for 12 years, what do u know about skylines!? (as u can see he seemed a bit upset for whatever reason) (at this point we asked for and got a peice of paper off them to write down the chassis and engine numbers) us: it was advertised as a vspec, and its not dealer: it was not advertised as a vspec,(he then showed us the trading post add, that was different to the add on their website which did not mention vspec) us: well on the website it says it is a vspec dealer:u must be confused. (we decided to leave) us:can we take this piece of paper with us (with the vin and engine no. on it) dealer: why do u want it? u cant have it us: (this was me i got annoyed) we want it to check for when it was built, dont U check the vin and engine number when u buy a car? dealer: no i dont! give me back the paper, its my car, and the piece of paper is my property and u dont have any right to it! (we tore off the bit witht he chassis and vin and gave him the rest and left) It was a complete waste of time, and i cant believe their behaviour towards us, we were polite to them, and only got frustrated when he started lying to us and showing us attitude... U would think that they would be at least friendly and truthful if they realised that a customer knew there was something funny going on!
-
did u fix it? dont put water there! any liquid coming into contact with the timing belt will significantly reduce its life. it would be stuck behind the lower timing belt cover, remove that and get it out, because it might get stuck between the timing belt and teeth, which might damage the belt.

pirelli p6000s, excellent in the wet. especially braking in the wet in comparison to other sports tyres (read it in motor mags tyre test last year or sumthing).. ive had a set on each of my two cars so far and they have lasted well also..
-
i am sure that it would be a complete waste fitting 2530s if u have N1s. they are definetly similar plus removing and refitting the turbos on a gtr is a long and expensive job, unlike doing the same thing on a gts-t.
-
sounds like a good price, congratulations, although, unlike what someone else said, i you will find that the N1 turbos are larger than the standard ones, they come on boost approx 500-800rpm later than the stock ones, making them similar to hks 2530's. I know this for sure (im not just repeating something ive read on the forum) as i just rode in a friends car who recently fitted N1s.
-
in fact, have a look at www.redlinegti.com at the moment there is a gen 1 ie old boxy 1986 model gti for sale, BUT it has a full cage, and is currently being resprayed in ford xr6 blue, 3 grand negotiable without rego only missing air con.
-
I had one of these, and as long as you can put up with rattles etc, its a reliable and inexpensive car to own, not to mention very fun!! u just gotta make sure u get one with a HD gbox already fitted, because its not a matter of if, but when in relation to the gearbox breaking the engines are excellent! but yeah another car i have been interested in in the long term is a charade turbo, similar interests eh... but i wouldnt rely on it as an everyday car, plus im sure it would end up costing lots of $$ to maintain and fix.
