  1. Hey thanks a lot for the help, but neither my sister or i can read japanese oh well i guess i can try googling it !
  2. lol yeah its like an automatic license saving device (otherwise no idea)
  3. hey my sister will be in japan this week, and i want her to check out electronic stuff like mp3 players, portable dvd etc etc.. so i was wondering where she should go.. im not sure where exactly in japan she will be, but it will be a major city, so any cheap chain stores or something??
  4. the mustang has a live axle because apparently owners demand it(for what stupid reason i dont know) otherwise ford would have put a IRS on it.. (as read in current EVO magazine)
  5. good luck with the sale, i just sold mine
  6. endorean, where the struts enter the body(the hole they stick out of in the engine bay) u will be able to see a mount that the strut sits on, it doesnt sit directly onto the body. for the front they are filled with ball bearings so they can turn... hese could be crushed.. the rear ones can be damaged causing clunking noises too.
  7. www.are.com.au lots of info on all types of coolers... their own coolers are relatively expensive to jap and hybrid kits but look well designed. after i read up on there i felt like buying an intercooler, oil cooler and new radiator lol.
  8. www.are.com.au lots of info on all types of coolers... their own coolers are relatively expensive to jap and hybrid kits but look well designed.
  9. Car is now sold
  10. go to toymods.org.au for more info about these... there are quite a few cressidAs with 2jzgte's in them, or else the 7mgte instead of the stock 7mge which is the non turbo supra engine. i know theres even a guy on this forum who owns a 2jzgte equipped cressida, but ive forgotten his nickname... pretty good sleeper
  11. i dont think you can say that being unmodded means it hasnt been driven hard, but more that since it is an auto it hasnt been driven hard
  12. Ill become a big car whore i have a mountain bike and ive already started spending on that! but yeah i guess im sorta looking forward to the next car, i have to save up more though. i dont want to borrow much/any money for the next car i get.
  13. I just sold my skyline on thursday, and it was picked up on friday morning. Ive been feeling bad since it has been gone. It was sold because i lost my license (in previous car when it had not been sold yet but i already had the skyline), so there was no point in having it.... but now with no license OR skyline, things are getting more depressing it was my second car and i owned it for only one year, which was basically trouble free and very enojyable, so i guess i got kind of attached to it Has anyone else suffered from these symptoms? Any suggestions? (apart from the obvious dont lose your license )
  14. u can do it yourself but i can be messy and dangerous, so if u have no clue, listen to benm
  15. air in the system, change the brake fluid
  16. i have seen these problems in a few cars, and most of the time its not the shock itself its the mount at the top where the shock sits in the body. ie. the front is filled with ball bearings(so the shock can turn with the steering) and these bearings often crunch up. it only seems to become noticable or happens when u fit harder suspension... i have forgotten what the mount is called but u can see it pretty easily.
  17. i have a ricey blue one that was given to me. i really dont think it does anything but add rice, and a place for stickers.
  18. This is an immaculate, car, ive been in it plenty of times, whoever buys it will be a very happy person And although we are used to figures like 160+rwkw on this forum, trust me, although this car has comparably less, it still goes very well, its a lighter car.
  19. ive only ever seen about two on the streets of sydney, this is a rare opportunity! nice car man!
  20. gtrs have a clutch booster, just likea brake booster, so the feel of the clutch is stays reasonable, even if it is a h/d. on a gts-t there is no helper, which is why when people switch to havy duty clutches there is a dramatic change in how hard u have o push so basically u cant really judge how hard it will be to push unless u are talking to another gtr owner.
  21. its an oil additive which you add to your oil before a change, and let the car idle for around 30 mins so it has time to circulate, after which u dump the oil and fill up with new stuff. i have heard bad things about engine flush, although they so far have not been substantiated, can anyone explain why it could be bad? rather than using that, an (expensive) alternative is to run new oil through your engine for short periods ie 1500kms then keep changing it till things seem cleaner. an area where u can see gunk buildup is under the cam covers, remove them and have a look, if they look gunky, you may be able to assume that the car has missed a few oil changes previously
  22. i friend of mine (wrxhoon on this forum) has n1's on his 33gtr, he must have the large housing, as instead of what he expected(ie boosting from same or lower revs than stock) they come on boost from 5000rpm and onwards, with a full exhaust and power fc. so be careful if u are getting N1's in respect to which housing you get if u want low down boost.
  23. gtracer, this is an old thread, check the date!!! since i posted, it has been about 7 months, and in that time, i have done maybe 7 thousand kays, and have come to the conclusion that the redline ultra lightweight is an excellent gearbox oil, and suited to an rb25. i have had no frothing/heat problems, and after a few kays (say 1500) the shift is a million times better than it was before, no crunching anymore, ever. Oh yeah, and in those 7 months, i also lost my license so my car is now for sale, complete with the redline gbox oil
  24. i have a 1996 gts-t with 3" cat back(and a 2.5" muffler in it to get past a defect) jamex in box filter. otherwise stock and i got 165rwkw shootout mode about 26 degrees ambient temp. that was apparently a pretty good figure at unigroup in sydney btw.
