i put in the ultra lightwight (yellow) over a thousand ks ago, when i first put it in there was no difference at all, but now, there is a definine difference, it never crunches into any of the gears anymore, so yeah u really have to give it time

Should i install a lightened flywheel
siksII replied to a topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I had a 'lightweight, cross drilled, balanced and machined' flywheel in my last car, i didnt get any vibration, and there was a definate performance increase...not a lot, but it made the car feel slightly sort of ligher...(more power i guess..) the car also held speed better on a straight. ie. before it would slow down without pushing the accellerator a bit, but after you wouldnt have to push the pedal and it would hold speed. Maybe you should find a cross-drilled one...apparently works sort of like cross drilled brakes, lessens the effect of a clutch overheating and slipping. -
so in the end, no, it shouldnt make the psh psh psh sound, just one of them. so leave it as it is i guess.
-
I dont actully have one, but from what i have read, the stepped sound you are after is not due to the type of BOV it is due to spring tension if you tighten your BOV up then it will make the sound you want, as the spring will not allow the piston to open up fully to let the air out in one go, so it will open/close a few times, making the fuulley sik psh psh psh noise Also, on cars with AFM's like ours, i believe having the spring too tight(which it would be if its making the psh psh phs noise) causes stalling problems due to the air not smoothly passing by the AFM. So yeah your SSQ valve is set correctly to your car. ps. If you dont want it, ill happily take it off your hands

lol dont worry, i have one from nissan too.. that sale is for melbourne only... Dont want to spend quite that much either! Ive given into a bit of rice eh!

Just some random pics from when my head was off a few weeks ago, was replacing head gasket, and while the head was off i also got it reconditioned including vavle stem seals. As far as i know, the head has not had any performance work to the ports, its only been cleaned up. Plus a video of us replacing the head onto the block... I have higher(700k each) quality pics if anyone wants.. http://users.tpg.com.au/adsl4lxm/Head/replace.avi

Or better yet, get quicktrack, just hand over the keys, then let the police hunt them down and jail them

Hey, ive tried to access the site for the last three days, and all i have got is 404 errors, it seems that others can see the site, so do u know what the problem could be? I cant wait to take a look!

yeah thats what i thought/heard, and cavitation only comes with really high revs with the standard gts-t pump, higher than 7000. The n1 would be suited only to the gtr, as it revs higher, unless you raised the revs on a gts-t. So basically, i dont think there is any point getting and N1 pump for a gtst, although it does sound good

I just put in iridiums with 1.1 gap n they are perfect... (in case you are running standard boost)

a local nissan dealership (randwick) quoted me 150(or 148, something cery close) for the part listed for an r33.... ring a dealer!

Ive read through posts found by searching and no post i found has answered this: Does the r31(rb30) 02 sensor work in an r33. (i know a falcon one works, but i would prefer not to cut cables, and to have a nice new plug, and i read that the r31 has the same plug, so if they are the same/similar price, id just get the r31 sensor..)

Yes he is, i messaged u, thanks

SO its not just me that has issues with leaking coolant... Trust me, there is no way a whole overflow bottle of coolant can evaporate even over quite a long period. If there is even a few centimetres difference in the level of the overflow bottle after u drive a few times, u have problem. I changed my water pump, which fixed mine a bit. But then i discovered that small amounts are also coming from the head gasket area, so check this. my head will be removed 2morrow to check where the leak is coming from... Look around cylinder 6 for signs of leakage, because the metal is hot in that area coolant can leak out and evaporate without u noticing, but it leaves a stain.

Which tyres are good ?
siksII replied to Yakuza's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
dunlop fm-901's are apparently mad. They do well in comparisons such as motor tyre tests. otherwise maybe try some michelins, my parents have always hed them on their car, and the grip is unbelieveable for the size... not sure which mdel but they wernt even very expensive. WE got P6000's as replacements (on my advide) and the difference in grip is huge, the michelins gripped a million times better... My friend got 901s for his car in 17/255 17/235 like u, 250 for front and 350 for back from tempe tyres. They are a bit noisy, but excellent grip/handing in wet and dry. -
Just wanna agree, a friend's 300 has this problem, he tried to remove the dash and apparently it is basically if not definetly impossible to remove it without breaking bits. And it will drive Are you positively annoyed friend? trying to take everything off. Hope the r33 dash isnt so bad. Ive installed a head unit in mine, it was simple so thats a good sign...

was tempted, but then i was afraid that he would somehow think i was being smart/difficult, then somehow cane me about something else Im on my P's u see...

Tonight, i was pulled up by police in front of a police station where they were conducting RBT tests as far as i could see. The police man asked me if i had anything to drink, i said 'no not at all' because that was the truth, he then asked 'do you have your licence there?' i said yes and handed it over. He handed it back, and then i sat there, waiting for the RBT. After nothing happened for a few secs, i asked, is that it? He said yes you can go. So i left. My point is, i dont think the police are doing their jobs properly! Have other people been pulled over for RBT and not tested like me?? Even when i was caught speeding about 2 months ago, they wrote me the ticket, but did not even bother to breathalyse me. What if someone was drunk and speeding? They wouldnt stop them! Ive brought this up cuz its the second time, and i think its really stupid of the police. Plus when i was pulled up tonight, another officer was looking over my car and writing down stuff, i dont know what for...but that was worrying....
