On a few long trips (500km+) over the last 3 weeks i averaged 10-11l/100km with average speeds of around 140km/h, and including a few laps around bathurst (couldnt resist) plus some urban driving. I was amazed, as in the city, my car drinks between 16-18l/100kms, a very large difference. The only mods i have are an in box filter, catback and and fuel pump. btw. I just realised that the difference between urban and highway driving in my skyline is how much my swift gti drinks altogether lol

But then again, if you accidentally come on boost in a stock r33 in the middle of a slow, wet corner, you will go sideways, ( ) the same would happen in most turbo, rear wheel drive cars, straight off the production line. I think the point you just made highlights the fact that everyone should know how to drive their respective cars properly, torque steer is reasonably bad on a vrx (i have driven one quite a bit..) but this can be avoided, just as we would drive carefully to avoid oversteer when driving through corners where caution is required.

So u think its worth it i can get a regular one probably for about $100 and i have $35 credit at UAS that im not gonna use on anything else, so i would be spending 150 on the pump, is it worth 50 more? im beginning to think that is is worth it cuz i will never replace it again so i might as well get the better thing, but then again i have a habit of buying the best of everything then being broke for periods...... JimX, it seems like your car will slowly become mine, as you want wiseco forgies, as mine has, and now are contemplating the same water pump

airbag+hicas steering wheel in 95 r33 removal
siksII replied to DJ_L3ThAL's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Relax....things look like they are getting bitchy. Just get the series 2 airbag wheel, its nice looking -
Well jeremy did say that a lot of his decisions were made based on personal choice rather than logical comparison.... so obviously everyone will disagree with some of the choices. Also, in the UK i think the first R33 to be officially imported was the R33, and then the R34, and i think out of those two, its an easy choice. But then when u bring an R32 into the picture, the choice is harder. Btw. I reckon tiff should enter some jap drifting competitions!

I have tested this many times by completely filling up.....when the fuel light flickers on and off there is around 15 litres left. When the fuel light begins to stay more or less permanently on, there is 10 litres left.

Does anyone think it is worth getting an N1 water pump(supplied by UAS for $185) compared to a regular one, which would probably be about $100? Aparently, the N1 is a 6 fin, flows more water, and does not cavitate(dont know what that means) at higher revs.

Prank- I get a squeek in reverse only (cept for when they are cold, which is when they squeek all the time) as well. Does anyone know why brakes would squeek only in reverse?

Engine noise interference is usually caused by the position of the ground, and doesnt have anything to do with the position of the rca's altho these can suffer from different types of interference...

This happened to me in sydney, a note was left with no contact details, the police said if the guy denied it, there was nothin i could do. They said they would call back, but never did, i didnt bother following up because i knew if the guy was gonna admit it, he would have left a note himself. I know his rego tho..............

P6000's are a good predictable tyre, which return a good feeling when cornering, if not outright grip. They make your car feel faster and more fun to drive than comparable sports tyres which may allow faster ultimate cornering speeds... Buy them! *bump*

By gapping expensive iridium spark plugs, as far as i know, voids the purpose of getting expensive iridium spark plugs, as what you pay for is the coating, which is removed when you gap them. I may be wrong....

That thing is officially dumb, one of my friends has been trying to tell me the benefits of it over the last few days, apparently he saw it at autojoy(rice factory) lol...

I have seen a MkII JZX100 in the flesh, the first and only one at the time, and prob still now in australia, it is at a dealership on parramatta road, and it is F***ING BEAUTIFUL. It is one of the only auto( ) cars id love to own. SO yeah if u want to see one, drive down parra road, i forget the dealership, it is one of the import dealerships on the side going towards the city. Well worth seeing, i think they want about 36k for it.

Carcom sounds good, i tried to get info for that when i got my tracking too, but i couldnt find any straight away (lazy) so i just got quicktrack cuz i was too anxious to have the car without any decent security...

Ah ok, well i must be misinformed, but to confirm this, can someone point me in the direction of the navtrack website, or even give me a phone number to contact navtrack on, cuz when i was lookin i couldnt find anything on them, cept a web site that does not work.. So ill still be suspicious about their existence untill i speak to them myself, but of course in theory i would agree that navtrack sounds much better. But then again, i have had quiktrack for about 4 months, and the alarm has been set off in various places around sydney, especially bondi/city/chatswood and every time i have gotten a phone call, not once has the alarm gone off and i didnt get a call, so merli, maybe things have changed, or maybe you drive to different places to me...

Hey just wanted to note that my altenator makes that noise as well, seems to get louder as i switch on headlights, fogs etc, plus, my friends Z32 makes the exact same noise... I should get it checked out sumtime but apparently, its the bearings in the altenator, according to someone i cant remember Oh yeah n when my fan is working, either the belt, or bearing, or something in the system makes an annoying sort of squeeky noise...very annoying if you are on the spot, in a quiet place..

Hey I when i first bought my skyline a few months ago, i looked at getting various traking systems installed, ie, navtrack and quicktrak... From the information i found, navtrack was actually only doing a trial in australia, and they dont exist in this country anymore, im not sure if the users were even informed of this.. A while back i saw a post where a guys car was backed into, and his navtrack alarm didnt go of, so he intentiaonally set ot off(after lots of effort), and he still did not hear from navtrack as he should have. So i might be wrong, but i have a feeling they packed up n got outa here.... so yea i ended up gettin quicktrack.

Anyone in sydney got any spare filters? I just got ADSL, and it seems like the price of these things has increased in a large way since i last checked prices, i.e. $8 to $20 so if anyone has spares, i need two, will pick up, and will buy at a reasonable price.. I need the Inline type..
