WTB: RB20Det Turbo water return line assembly Hey, Anyone out there got a broken RB20det they are parting out? I'm after the metal pipe which runs behind the back of the engine in between the firewall. I'm after pipe itself, and metal pipe it connects to on the turbo side which bolts up to the turbo and need both rubber pipes on the other side - one goes along the injector rail/intake or something and the other one goes down somwhere. Basically, mine's cracked behind the engine, and I can't get to the bolt to remove it because the engine is in an s12 and there is 1cm of room in there so planning to just cut off all the ends and shove another one in there...hopefully...or at least use someone else's as a template to recreate my own with parts from Enzed. Thanks!!!! (no one warned me about all the fun extra work that comes with driving an engine conversion car...lol) Have provided an annotated pic of someone else's engine (it may be an rb25, but pretty sure very similar to mine) I sent to the mechanic before he told me he can't help me. Hey all, Looking for basically everything in the engine bay needed for me to get the air con working again. Currently I have the thing already installed in the dash and the lines coming through the firewall to the engine bay but it stops there. So I need: the compressor, the lines to and from the conmpressor/condensor and the condenser/big radiator thing. SOrry about lack for terminology, in a rush and dont have time to work it out. I bought these second hand just to get me through a couple of month while rebuilding my other set. Only paid 600 for the full set. The ar$ehole seller insisted they were in perfect condition but it soon turned out the fronts are shagged. The front driver's side knocks and leaks. Passenger side seemed OK and I never installed the rears so don't know. However the rear's look OK and there is no side of leakage of anything dodge. Fronts good for parts (or rebuild if possible?), rear's worth using again. Very stiff springs when they were installed, no idea how many kg's though. Will sell the rears for $220 and fronts for $120. Hey, I've searched the forum, can't find a relevent thread so I'd really appreciate a diagnosis here... THANKS! I've got an RB20det and box in a Gazelle (s12) and have always changed pretty tamely, and as far as I know the box only has around 100K k's on it. Issue: When changing up through the gears (accelerating) a WHIRRRR noise can be heard (and vibration felt in the shifter) just before the stick goes into the next gear. If I wait for the engine revs to drop below 1.5k then the gear goes in straight away with no whirr but if i change at revs above that in ANY gear, the noise can be heard. - This doesnt happen when down shifting, I can even downchange at 5k without double clutching and it's fine. - it's only when upshifting. As this is a custom install, it's going to be an absolute prick to get the box out again so if there is any chance this is a simple fix or something so major that I might as well just drive to to its death, then replace the lot later then I'd prefer that (i actually have a spare box in Melb which will go in next I suppose, but im now in syd and have no time or money for a while) As you can tell, I know absolutely nothing about gearboxes...never really had any issue with them in any of my cars.
