F/A-18's F-111

na the F/A-18 i always thought looked awesome and also the F-111 used to see F/A-18s fly over out to the national park for target practice where i llived near Newcastle from zero yoa till i was eight.

can someone tell me why i have RB20DET under my avatar when i have an RB25DET and what is the WARN (0%) thing down the bottom

that means no R33 GTS25t then at 134kw/tonne and does that restriction disapear once your off your 'P's or is it until your 25 coz i've heard of that aswell? is it just Victoria with the restrictions? and another question, sorry, do you know if it is legal for someone to drive through the state if and brake these restrictions if they are from another state and there vehicle is registered elsewhere?

thank f**k i live in WA where there are no power restrictions can anyone please tell me what the power restrictions are for P-platers, is it an absolute limit or a power to weight ratio thing? and what is it?

perhaps movies have technical directors that provide info like that to the script writers either the product never existed, or they weren't doing there job

they are retiring the F-14s because they cannot shoot down today's planes. with stealth, the F-14 is unable to "see" the F-22 and the F-22 can find the F-14 easier anyway because it has a more advanced radar, even the F/A-18 has a more advanced radar system. it undergoes uprades every few years. this is why three quarters the US Navy's fighter aircraft are Hornets and one quarter 'were' Tomcats to be replaced by Raptors. After these they seem to want to go to unmanned aircraft flown roboicly from the ground and/or via a preplanned mission on computer

the F/A-18 should make you go holy f**k it could take down the F-14. better manouverability and better avionics F-22 could then take down a F-18. the reason they use these newer planes is because they are better, use more advanced technology, the F-22 even has some stealth capabilities and they did know what the MiGs where capable of because the had spies. there are public books out there that were released that had all this information in them i have some at home so the military would've known more

F-16s are too small and too slow. it only has one engine and US Navy policy is to have jet with two. Think F/A-18 SuperHornets and F-22 Raptors

ya well im going over east in a couple of months and while im there gona look around see if i can get them cheaper i think fibre vision can then put them on

if your not confident then don't get one probably better to learn in somthing less powerful although, once you've made a couple of mistake (spinning out in the wet etc. (don't try when anyone else is around)) you'll soon learn what you can and can't do
