  1. will take 1250.. half of what i payed.. top of the range tyres
  2. Item: 4 X Brand new Dunlop SPMAXX's (never used) 255/35 18's, to suit 8 - 9.5" rims Age: Few months old, these have featured in Wheels and Motor and have one tyre of the year award Condition: brand new never used, still not on rims Price: i want $1400, i am slightly flexible, these tyres retail for $550 each (2200 for 4). Works out to $350 a tyre, which is what you pay for shitty ones, and these are pretty much the best locally made tyres you can buy To Fit: Any rim, from 8" to 9.5" Location: Victoria, can deliver locally Contact: PM or Post here Comments: Bought them for my car, was going to get some 18" rims but now i want to sell the car as is.
  3. Dude, i bought one of these a while ago, sick looking gunmetal one, heavy as anything.. anyway theres no grub screw or anything with it and it doesnt fit my gtr.. it has a few plastic sleeves but all are far too big so i cant twist it on,, i jammed it on once with brute force but it eventually came off so i'm using my old one.. fkn biggest waste of $80 ever.. needs a metal jacket and grub screws
  4. In 40 years one of those hsv's will be worth 500kish easy though, won't be able to say the same for an m3 ^^ then again.. more than $50k on a commodore with a bigger engine seems retarded
  5. ah ok but the AFM's arent hugely different.. so they shouldn't be a big problem I dont think it is the CAS timing, it was running fine up until a few days ago and as it's all bolted up tight i doubt it's moved or changed in any way.. will check it, it still has the marks from when i changed the idler/tensioners. I changed the AFM's because one of my old ones was shot (it'd cut out sometimes randomly) I remember when i changed it it seemed to gain more power.. but then i remember it losing the power for a while too I'll regap my plugs to .8 tonight just incase it helps.. confusing as though, i have no idea what the problem is and have checked everywhere i can think of to look One other thing, how much should i twist the CAS clockwise/anticlockwise to adjust the timing a few degrees? is 1 or 2 mil alot? Because i'll try that and see whether it helps thx for the help
  6. Hey, just got my car back from getting a new clutch and found it to be gutless.. i've had this happen before ages ago i changed the afm's and the coilpacks and did a few other things but cant remember which fixed it Anyway someone told me the other day that i'll need a remap to get the 33 gtr afm's working properly, can anyone verify this? guy i bought em off said they'd be fine.. i have noticed it's a bit hesitant before it warms up I don't think it can be anything spark related as nothing has been changed and it's not stuttering or anything at all.. if my afm's weren't working properly (my old ones weren't) then it probably wouldnt run right at all whereas it runs fine.. it's like it's only running 5 psi or something (i got it at 10) I cant take it to a mech till i have 1000 km's on the clutch but i'll never wanna drive it as it is now hehe So what can i try? I Don't see point in regapping plugs (as they worked fine) Ditto with checking the packs (as they worked fine) The AFM's are off a 33.. but they did work fine.. but they could have a connection prob? Has no boost or zorst leaks.. Doubt it's the clutch because it's not slipping and i cant see why it would be slower (old one was slipping..) Could it randomly be ecu related? choirs
  7. It's all smooth still, but the power is gone as well.. i've had this problem before but i cant remember how i fixed it.. i'm thinking some wiring or smtn got bumped when they pulled the box out..it's about as fast as my mates tx3 haha >< doesnt push u back at all, drives fine though, just realll slow.. gonna make a topic in forced induction to get some suggestions, farkn finally get the new clutch and the car ends up slower haha, i cant take it back to put it on the dyno yet either until the clutch has a few hundred k's on it
  8. yeh so anyway it was the stupid clutch boot that sits underneath the shifter.. some spud had only put 3 bolts in it so one corner was sitting right up.. i took it for a drive with the mech and he wasnt sure, got it home and figured it out myself But i still gotta figure out where i lost power, i'm guessing some wiring has been moved/messed up when they dropped the box out.. probably my afm's.. i got shitty luck with em
  9. yeh I'm thinking it's something wrong with the clutch now I just checked the gearbox and it looks like the same box and it has oil in it (phew) so yeh hopefully find out wtf the problem is tomorrow Just hope the gbox isn't dmged
  10. Nah i haven't revved it hard or dropped it, i've taken it to redline twice, he said it'd be fine to rev out just no drops or slam shifts.. the noise was there from when i started it pretty much It still drives totally fine, and seems ok.. just the sound is hell loud and the power loss is massive up top, got it sitting in garage atm waiting for mondy :< sucks cos now i cant affrd to go out this weekend and i got no car to drive around haha
  11. Yo so i just got a cushioned button exedy or exidy clutch, meant to take 300kw Anyways car is a stock gtr running 12psi-ish(so like has 200ish) I can hear heaps of noise now coming from the gearbox, it used to always be dead quiet, whether i'm using clutch or not it's noisey, if i have it in 3rd and just cruising it's loudest (it used to be dead quiet) sounds like it's missing a baffle plate or smtn + it's hugely gutless now, it doesn't come onto boost very hard and doesn't increase in power after about 4k, it used to slam u right back till 7k That last bit makes no sense to me, as the old clutch was slipping ( believe) and this one doesnt seem to be slipping (it'd rev out faster but go slower if it was slipping), revs just seem to take forever Any suggestions? GOnna take it back on monday but just wanna know it's not something bad ^^

    Snow Season

Hmm i know cars like wrx's and liberties and rav 4's and others with full time 4wd are sweet to go up without chains on (gotta carry) (i know quite a few boarders who own AWD cars for this reason) .. and its fairly well known that gtr's are AWD.. so i'm just gonna hope i dont get pulled over by someone who happens to know about the whole RWD biased torque split thingo.. although i'd assume any car with any sort of AWD would simply be classified as AWD by them EDIT: VicRoads has reviewed its policy regarding the exemption for some types of vehicles to enter the Great Alpine Road (between Harrietville and Omeo) without wheel chains being fitted when 'No Entry Unless Wheel Chains Fitted' signs are erected. When weather conditions permit, four-wheel drive vehicles will be permitted to enter this area without fitted chains, provided that the four-wheel drive is engaged. However this exemption does not apply to all-wheel drives unless able to operate in true four-wheel drive mode, and the four-wheel drive mode is engaged. To be able to do this, all-wheel drive vehicles must have a central differential that is capable of being locked, such that the drive force is distributed to the front and rear axles in an approximate 50:50 ratio. The locking mechanism may be either manual or electronic. Due to the significant market in all-wheel drives and four-wheel drives, and because of the claims made by the manufacturers of these vehicles, VicRoads is not able to provide a list of vehicles that comply with this requirement. It is the driver's responsibility to check with the manufacturer of his or her vehicle to determine if it has a central differential that is capable of being locked. If the driver is still uncertain if the vehicle complies with this requirement, then chains shall be fitted to the vehicle, before proceeding beyond the "No Entry Unless Wheel Chains Fitted" signs. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW but i'll still risk it, as if anyones gonna be able to say otherwise.. i mean it does hit 50/50 bias some of the time The shittest thing about going to the snow is getting out in 0 degree weather and putting chains on your car.. Not to mention that if slightly larger rear tyres can make the awd screwy imagien what chains will do hehe

    Lockdown!

"DRINKERS will be banned from entering inner-city pubs, clubs and bars after 2am in a bid to combat alcohol-fuelled crime" yay for only targetting drinkers It's fkd as cos joints like bubble n phd dont get going till 2.. tell me people are actually going to go home if they dont get into places at 2.. the drinkers maybe but everyone off chops is just gonna walk around staring at shit and running at cars.. just put a few more cops on, on the weekend = solved imo. I was reading something about this and theres heaps of club owners who wrote letters of complaint .. From what i understand this isn't going to happen and the amount of opposition to it pretty much makes this 3 month trial a waste of time. Gonna be shit though, 3 months of being careful after 2am and rocking up in the city hell early

    Snow Season

yay for not having to fit snow chains on a gtr.. but i thought you still need to have them ready just in case with all cars, including 4wd's?
  15. Will also take any offers now if not interested in a trade

Grey R32 GTR near where i work in richmond, plates KOUJIN with SAU sticker.. just wondering about that bottom front lip, i noticed it's got a textured plastic finish to it and is a slightly lighter shade of grey than the rest of the car.. have seen the same thing on a mates car, is it a certain model that came like that or something? ty
  18. Item: R32 GTR RIMS, X4 Age: Off of a 1993 R32 GTR, fuldha tyres have been on it for approx. 6 months Condition: Rims are in good condition, one has a scratch, otherwise all are in good condition, no flaking, outter rims are straight, tyres have only driven around 2000 km's (due to my car sitting in the garage alot) and they were recently rotated and all balanced up very well Price: I want to trade them with tyres + cash (happy to negotiate how much) for some R34 GTR rims without tyres (got some tyres waiting to go on) To Fit: R32 GTR/GTS-T Location: melbourne Contact: PM please
  19. More pics of Drift Tek or Race Tek's please Koya isn't as bad a brand as you people seem to think.. they're not csa or speedy ^^ I've been trying to find a gtr or even a gts-t in silver/gunmetal with either the drift teks or race teks on it for quite a while so i can decide I get them hella cheap because of the company i work with... has anyone got a side-on pic of a GTR with an 18" rim on it? I want 18's because then it won't ride as hard and i won't have to be so worried about curbing them but am worried they'll be to small (that and i already have 4 255/35r18 gsd-3's waiting to go on something)
  20. Thanks for the help guys, just an FYI for GTR owners, it is the middle picture in my post above on the drivers side, and it says CAS or something on it.. has two pipes coming off of it with yellow rings around them approx. 1 inch from where they join the solenoid (which looks like a D battery) I'll be installing a controller in a few days, the only problem is gonna be whether the top or the bottom hose goes into the controller/out of it
  21. OH ok cheers, so i'm lookn for a pipe with a yellow circle on it, anyone got a link with a pic of a pcm valve? hehe.. hmm someone said it's on the drivers side in another post, maybe i'll have a squizz over there.. that danny dude in one of those threads didn't end up getting a photo of it either ^^ can sum1 circle where it is on the pic i put up?
  22. Hey, i'm trying to install a controller on a r32 GTR and cannot find a solenoid that looks like that! The only solenoid looking thing i could find is below.. my old gtst one was piss ez to find (no solenoid, i just traced the house) this 1 i got no idea.. this thing on the left sorta looks like it has boost lines running into it, but i think it's fuel, and this circle where it should be is where i'd expect it to be, but where it's not.. any ideas? ty
  23. and for that matter, has anyone had one of these clutches b4? seems to cost around 650 for a 300kw clutch elsewhere
  24. eh you probably just cant drive, 2004 sti's hit like 13.4 up the quarter from memory, and assuming ur gtrs not a POS 13 flat should be possible.. he probably dumped the clutch from revs and you probably didnt.. Also he didn't say he was street racing, coulda wound down his window on the track.
