  2. Yeh, hook us up. Only problem is i only got until the 29th to get my front bar resprayed and car running properly. Oh well, cant say ive ever been on a cruise of any sort before, should be good (although 7:30am on a saturday is a bit rough)
  3. Hmm ive looked at the cases on all of them, done voltage test on all of them and checked all the contacts, so im thinking they shouldnt be my prob. Im gonna try find a guide somewhere on injectors, and rip them out, post some pics up here to see if there all cool, thx Edit - Getting fuel pressure/flow test done tonight, see what happens
  4. heheh well it did fix it for a week of bliss but oh well back to dodgyness, need the stupid thing fixd, im sick of ppl getting in it and going "this is almost as fast as my dads vy executive" -_-
  5. well yeh i have done that (unplug battery, press brakes, left for some hours) but from what i know it makes very little difference any way Any1 else?
  6. nah no bov and no spiking After the mechanic installed the walbro, he re-did the tests for puel pressure and said they were fine, but i suppose your right and something could have slipped off an old pipe or something. I dont know him very well and i know if i go back and ask for him to re-do the fuel pressure test, hell just laugh it off and ill come back with something else new so.. Is there a tool or a way to check the fuel pressure?
  7. The o2 sensor test isnt a good enough indication of whether the car is running rich or lean? The fuel presure is cool since the new pump, he tested it all out again after the install so that couldnt be the prob Perhaps a 14 second car does feel this slow, i dunno, but i swear its gotten significantly slower. Its funny you should mention cam timing, because my mechanic said my ??VAC?? pressure was a bit low and that can be a indication of my timing belt being off by a tooth so.. Thats what he seems to think is the problem but well its not constant only happens sometimes so i cant see how it could be that. The ignition timing is cool, he re-did it for me so no problems there Some one else suggested a compression test to, but i need 2 people to do one unfortunately Thanks guys

    ahh ok excellent, ill try to get there, seems that they dont mind 32's rocking up, although ill probably be to impatient and just go to that sxr guys whenever i get a chance

    ok so i wanna see what my car is kicking out, and from that be able to tell how bad it really is running. Does any one know when the next Dyno day for a car club or at a workshop is? I cant afford a full price dyno run
  11. hmm metho's not very harsh and doesnt leave residue, um i think phat32 used it so i stole his idea Dunno where to get a different afm from, but tomorow ill open it up and check the connections. Any 1 wana lend me a afm? In melbourne area, ill come to your house try it on then bugger off
  12. Hmm i dont think itd be the boost controller and its a pain to take out, but its a decent suggestion, when i get a spare 4 hours ill take it out. Such a fiddly device and enclosed space T_T Erm any idea where to find out about these "dyno" days? Its a standard ecu, and its running 10 psi atm, but makes no differrence if its on 12 Any other suggestions?
  13. Hmm, well its like couple of hundred bucks for that and i need to get it re-mapped/tuned after new turbo so if that was the only solution, itd have to wait till 33 turbo went on anything else?

Heyy, Ive been having missfiring issues and all sorts of crap with my car since i got it There fixed now but it lacks performance (after i got new fuel pump it was really quick for about 3 days, then i left it overnight and next morning it was slow) Basically at the moment boost kicks in at 3krpm and holds all the way to 6, no real pushback in seatage. It used to Die out at 4krpm then kick in at 6krpm alot. But for a while there(after i got new pump), boost was kicking in at 3, building then at 4 it really pushed u back into your seat and.. i want it to do that again. Tell me if above isnt clear, ill re-write it Anyway so here what ive tried: Clean AFM with metho (was already clean) Full ECU diagnostics (got code 55 which means all ok) 02 Diagnostics (light was on slightly longer than off, so its running pretty good, slightly rich) Replaced Fuel pump with a walbro (old one wasnt flowing anywhere near enough) (helped with missfire) Replaced Fuel filter Ran some injector cleaner through Regapped Spark plugs to .8m (helped finish off the missfiring prob) Tested voltages on Coil packs, got from 1.3-1.9 so pretty normal, checked contacts to Re-checked all intercooler hoses Tried various Boost controller settings Can any one suggest something else to try on it please? (ive tried some other things but i cant remember em all)
  15. bezerk, u know how to test ignitor/s? I have absurdly crappy acceleration and im trying everything to fix it before i start spending money. Also where are they?
  16. take em out, grab a multimeter, they got - and + terminals on em, put your multimeter on 20 ohms (or the 1 with 20 on it duno if its ohms or like milli-ohms) and test. Good packs should have 1.6-1.9 i hear, mine ranged from 1.3-1.8. Suggestion is to test em while warm to. Also take off the boots at the bottom and look for plastic cracking or wrecked terminal

  18. Yeh i used meth on mine to got code 55, which means all ok so no probs there, ill give that guide a reading, thx.. Hmm, didnt think it could be a connection problem.. Will be difficult to borrow some ones AFM so ill open it up tomorrow, check if the connection is sketchy and then get my auto electrician to resolder em

Ohh yeh, degreaser degreases, wd40 gets crap unstuck, mixed up somewhere there PHATR32, There is a randomly occuring problem, changing in severity just as randomly and i am piece by piece replacing/changing/"fixing" different things that have been suggested to fix it. Cant think of any other way to do it.. I have been to different mechanics and there guesses are sorta random, unusual and costly so i was doing all the cheap stuff people have suggested for me to do
  20. Do any of you guys know where to get an airbox like this for a R32 (rb20)? I have been looking and have only found shields that wrap around the pod, and need a box like this. Most companies only make em for r33 demit
  21. My AFM looked pretty much perfect, but i sprayed it out anyway No difference for me unfortunately, so i gotta try something else i guess Didnt see that section in the general maintenance, thx, forgot stickies dont come up in searches
  22. well it fixed my missfiring i suppose but although the thing had some balls for a week or 2 its gone again now. I drove it to torquay (2 hour drive) messed around up there, came back, parked the car for a day, and next time i got in it noticed it sucked again, It just flats out from 3krpm-6.2krpm, no extra pull. When it was "fixed" it used to kick in as much till about 4krpm then really push u bak so.. Ive done all i can think to do on it. Dunno where to try fix next Make sure u replace filter when u do pump and run some injector cleaner thru (might wana replace the hoses for filter to), then youll get that section out of the question easily enough

  24. yeh dude that helps a heap, ill have to go raid my cupboards for something other than wd40 i suppose as you use that to losen things; Edit - Gonna go with the metholated spirits option

Searched for: AFM= 0 results, Air Flow Meter = 5 pages, checked em all out only about 3 helpful Hey unhappy with the way the car is performing and have just tried: New pump New filter Checked voltages and contacts on all coil packs Regapped NEW iridium plugs to .8mm Done full ecu and o2 diagnostic check.. Both of which were fine And so am left with a few options, 1 i can do tonight is cleaning the AFM So i read from GTST a while ago that you just grab a Can of wd40 and spray the AFM.. But where on the AFM? Open it up and spray inside the box? Pull it off the intake piping and spray something on the bottom? Where abouts?? Also is there any tests i can do to see if this thing running correctly? Like with a multimeter for example? Or just gimme a link that has answers to both these questions, if u can find 1.. gl;
