  1. It may be "apparently" higher because the spring on the tacho needle is getting a bit "soft", and letting the needle spin further than it should. I've noticed the tacho readout on my Wolf handset is less than the tacho in the instrument cluster.
  2. Of course check the fan belt. (Although you would also have battery troubles.) Are you still running the factory VC fan? And the shroud? Cams are not out of alignment? Timing is correct?
  3. Since when ????Not since 1970s. My family's 1968 Falcon had synchro on first. chinkeboi, why don't you keep an eye on the lights so you can be in first gear when they change?
  4. Why would it be so difficult? All it is is a piece of computer logic: If <too many revs> then don't send a signal to injector. Why would it be so hard to implement it as: If <too many revs> then don't send a signal to spark. As I said previously, too many WRX engines have melted pistons because Subaru chose to implement a fuel cut limiter.
  5. It's the high / main beam light.
  6. IF a fuel cut is used, it will be by shutting down the injectors.
  7. I'm pretty sure Nissan use a "spark cut" as the rev-limiter. (too many WRXs have melted pistons, because Subaru uses fuel-cut limiter).
  8. How is the pump wired now? At worst it should be wired through the ignition switch, so that turning the engine off should disable the pump.
  9. Yes, it's been answered already. ALL Skylines with ATTESSA (AWD) run around in RWD mode until the sensors detect a loss of traction, or excessive G-forces during Accel / Decel / Cornering.
  10. Morgan, your problem is possibly an out-of-alignment TPS not sending a "throttle closed" signal to the ECU. Does the engine tend to maintain revs on gear changes? The fix has been covered - search.
  11. Why aren't you whinging about all the other infringements that contributed to you losing your licence? Why just this one?

  13. Not worth doing. Do a search for the Y. (Then consult a dictionary for how to spell half the words you got wrong!)
  14. I think Pulsars are 4x100
  15. No, checked all the indicator bulbs?
  16. ATTESSA has nothing to do with the clutch. Just get a Exedy HD pressure plate and 5-button organic driven plate.
  17. simply water vapour from the combustion process - nothing more, nothing less.I agree that it's probably popped an I/C pipe somewhere. Metered air is not reaching the cylinder, causing extreme richness of mixture.
  18. It will more than likely be the belt slipping as you load up the P/S on full lock.
  19. You shouldn't clean the throttle bodies. They rely on the buildup of crap to help seal the butterflies at idle.
  20. They can probably do both. Ask them.
  21. It's not offset, it's PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter)
  22. Holden wheels 5x120 PCD. MRR34 - offset is a different thing.
  23. There is a relay for the injectors - 1 of the pair down behind the ECU (the other is actually for the ECU / coils).
  24. Are all six cylinders firing cleanly? Because I'm guessing you've pooped a piston, and it's only running on 5.
