Aussie Delivered R32 Gtr's
iplen replied to BoyWhoCriedWolf's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
They are just the standard R32, with a couple of little differences to suit Australia. When they say homologation special they are talking about purely for the sake of ATCC, although I am pretty sure Sierras were never sold here any way, so they might mean "attempt to cash in" by homologation special -
I would say, based on the info you have provided, any one of about 10 things.

Advertising for a mate, will pass on his number/your number to interested parties: Genuine rx-4 sedan with build and compliance plates, in primer it has a hilux limo diff, koni adjustable coilovers in the front and reset rear leaf springs, ford 5 stud pattern with commodore front brakes, all of the exterior and interior bar front seats and rear window chrome, no rust what so ever, about a 50 cent piece of bog over the whole car. The second has most panels and complete body but does have rust, can be salvaged but was going to use as spare parts. No motor or gearbox in either car. After $7500 ono for the pair! Will provide pics to anyone interested or any more info. He is a genuine bloke who I know was very deadset on keeping these things but has had a change of circumstance.

Has it had boost at all since you put it back together? If yes, then take your cat converter off, remove the exhaust wheel, and then welcome to the joy of changing gtr turbos, if no then start going back over the work you did replacing the clutch, because you have done something wrong putting it back together.

Assuming there is a difference between money not being an issue and pointlessly burning money for no reason, just buy a GTR. Yes it is possible, but it will cost you more and still get you less car.

I had a c34, and loved it (stock auto RS4) but have since had a bit to do with Legnums (both manual), the Stag feels a bit better built, and is a bit bigger, but the pay off in price, performance, handling and economy was massive. I think the Stags have got a bit better value recently, and the M35 is better on juice.. ARX4 is the go I reckon

Mine has marks from similar aerials on the rear screen and from something having been glued to the dash in a similar place (but slightly different shape of "foot print") which was all part of an ancient and massive GPS system, the dash mount was for the screen, the aerials were for TV, the object on the dash might be GPS antenna. Mine still had the screen in the glovebox, but it was confused as all hell by being in Aus.. The mark on my dash is pretty hard to see where they took the mount off, it does however literally look like a boot mark, and raised a few questions when I first looked at the car..

It took me long enough to get around to doing this.. But here we go: Model of car V-Spec II, Built mid '94 somewhere 'Chassis No' code BNR32310112 'Model' code from the chassis plate Photo of the blue chassis plate that is fixed to the car in the driver's side of the engine bay Where the car is located Located in Bathurst My theory (which is highly theoretical, as far as theories go) is that the car may have a history as a pace car or similar, it has marks which appear to be from a light bar on the roof, it had harnesses, braided lines, bonnet pins, castor rods, Nismo body braces, twin plate, master cylinder stopper, HKS boost controller, hard piping kit, Nismo clutch slave and nismo dash. Also still had ceramic turbos, stock suspension, speed limiter, all interior in good nick, no scratches on the front lip etc. I have tried to find some form of evidence to back this up, but have found nothing other than what was on the car.. Either way, it is a bit rough, with clear coat coming off, and the paint on the bonnet is like sandpaper, but I wanted to own a V-Spec II for 10 years before I bought it, and it will never be for sale.. Oh, and there might be another GTR in the family..

There's only one left anyway, the others got turned into r33 gtsts.

Qtr Mile Times For My 32 Gtr?
iplen replied to NoFX_Hardcore's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Epic thread revival, but you reaction says it all!! What 60ft did you get? I was pretty happy to get 12.7 on similar setup with a 1.6 on shitty Nexens -
Haven't tried it.. But I would doubt it with Attesa you could still launch without it using the front diff, but once you overload the rears instead of frying them you get 4wd.
-
Bob, get the clutch to where it takes up, sit just off it, get some revs up to get turbos wound up, nail it, then slip the clutch really quick... Doing almost this I was pulling 1.6 60ft on crappy Nexens (I was getting to the limiter first) and I am running a double plate. The car doesn't bang or shudder, it just sits down and wheel spins a bit at the back then launches. The photos I have it almost has the fronts off the ground..

Highest Safe Boost For My Stock Rb26?
iplen replied to Purchase's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
32 with "70k" on it, running -7s, pods and exhaust, stock ecu, injectors, pump etc, with 20psi. Doesn't get used every day but it is happy as running like that. -
New ones attract less money because they have the shitbox ZD30 in them and will blow up. If you read back I rave about my 4.5l dual fuel Pootrol quite a bit, but think it is justified, I get 18/100 driving daily, heaps cheaper to buy and run day to day than a diesel, and debatable how much more it costs towing.. The 4.8l is a heaps better motor again
-
As the resident lover of Pootrols that don't rattle, smoke or blow up, I have to wonder how one of these block of flats would go with some LPG injection. By moving the spare tyre and replacing the main tank you could carry 200l+ in the basement of these things and based on my 4.5 I reckon 16-17l/100 (I get 18-20) would be realistic. That makes it cheaper to run than a ZD30, and close to a Navara.. At it's best..
