  1. Feeling slower won't be because of AWD vs RWD, but simply that the Silvia's are smaller, being modded, noisier, probably stiffer etc, "noisepower" is a massive part of how quick a car seems. My mates 180 has always felt HEAPS quicker than my 32, but when I was running 12.7, he ran 12.5.. As Ten Four said though 33s feel slower again, my mother (yes, really) has a 33 with -7s, PFC, Cams, Cooler, cam gears it's lowered and heaps stiffer than mine (mine has -7s, exhaust and filter) yet mine feels quicker... As an R32 fan though, Buy a 33.. They are a far better car, and Shedloads better value than 32s.
  2. Maybe use the "For sale" section, if it's for sale
  3. What he said^^^^
  4. Well in Chris's defence, the last 80 people who asked this quietion were saving their lunch money still....
  5. Subaru ran a class in the ARC a few years back for 2.5 RS Imprezas, which I was lucky enough to compete in, but as 1 make series which was primarily being run by their marketing dept it was unreal the cheating that was going on! Spec C shells, Cars that were allowed nothing more than a control exhaust blowing flames, and making 100awkw, when ours made 80 at the hubs... (with an illegal STI fuel pump) Cars with 3 open diffs, that would spin the inside rear driving around a car park... Funny thing is that as one of the people who was not doing that and was left looking slow because of it, my frustration was with the Scruitineers etc for not finding it, the guys doing it, well good on them for being that creative. Brocky's Sierra had the extinguisher pointing at the intercooler during qualifying for Bathurst, and was found, and he was pushed down the grid for it.
  6. See this car everyday on my way to work (was beside you on the mad mile the other day) car always looks tops and sounds great
  7. Thanks Terry, will look into it
  8. Hope he wasn't holding his breath...
  9. Sound silly, but did you remember to remove all the rags etc that you had shoved in holes?
  10. I have a Corolla rally car with a 4age 20v in it, I am currently removing all th useless wiring, but when it comes to the engine loom I am thinking about paying to get the job done, (but also have plenty better things to spend money on..) there is a group in the US who advertise custom looms from about $700. But i am guessing that could hike pretty quickly. I am going into a Motec M4, and want to have something which is entirely free standing, any suggestions for who to talk to?
  11. The front bumper on the standard cars NEVER had the 2 extra vents, only the N1s (hence the title n1 vents) otherwise they were added,
  12. Sorry, it's hard to type sarcasm, but clearly a car cannot have -60kw, therefore proving your point..
  13. So a 100kw car makes -60awkw???
  14. Interesting to note thought that Shannons are apparently now changing their policy so that it will very hard for anyone other than the owner to drive the vehicle.. So maybe now it will be covered for all of those events (including alein abduction) but only if the listed driver is driving it at the time..
  15. English? and WTF? P.S. Signed
  16. Didn't get around to testing, now seems perfect again (As perfet as R32 climate control can be anyway.. Makes me miss my Stag)
  17. Motorsport is full of "Would be champion but" stories, id it came down to who rocked up on the day with the biggest Dyno readout, life would be pretty boring. Pretty sure the car that came second last (eg didn't DNF) would have been champion, if it had Juns motor etc... and a strong gearbox or whatever broke
  18. Check the forum rules re bumps, 1 a day is a little excessive..
  19. Seems to be a pretty good thing, but when he says "everything" has been replaced 2000k ago... That's tens of thousands of dollars, excluding motor and gearbox, as the bloke on here who really has restored one will attest
  20. R33 rears go nowhere near fitting R32s, that pair of rears will be about 6 inches too long for R32, you can see it from the photos... I had to give away a shit hot set of Bilsteins for exactly that reason
  21. Sold, will have more, but not for a month or 2
  22. The R32 was homologated both with and without Hicas, after testing both options it was left of race cars, mine was locked when I bought the car, and I would love to know what it's like, but all report are I would just waste time getting it to work only to lock it again. Pretty sure every r32 GTR had it from the factory though
  23. appears to be sold. No more PMs please, will update if not sold.
  24. Is now all but gone, Ignition timing appears to have shifter (car was feeling really slow) anything upto 15degrees retarded (yes really) barely does it now
  25. As said previously, if you sre going yo go this nuts, do a VH45 if you are that keen, alloy engine, so probabaly same weight or lighter for 1.9l more capacity, V8 sound, then strap 2 turbos to it.. If i was going to mess with a GTR, this would be what I would do, 1500+hp should not be *too* hard..
