  1. therefore cop, and believe all the Toyota advertising crap.. The motor is nothing but a Subaru boxer with Toyota injection strapped on to it. Pretty sure you might even find Subaru written on the motor, guarentee their little swoop casting mark will be on the block, heads, inlet etc.
  2. Yeah there is one in Google
  3. I am still convinced that of the 1403 v spec iis built there are about 3000 left.. But on subject, I think any one wanting real money for these cars will probably have to send them back to Japan (GTHOs coming here from south Africa). In the long run it will push values up here but will make it harder to find someone to pay for them. Nismo and N1s will always be the ones to chase though
  4. The BA had the 4 speed did it?
  5. Figured that was a fairly clear assumption..
  6. Other easy way to tell is when the car was built, 93 v-spec, 94 v-spec ii..
  7. Had a 4.2 on LPG, now have a 4.5, I could not recommend one highly enough!! Compare some prices, compare what you get for the $$s, I got a 98 Gu st, with 240k lift kit, steel bar, driving lights, electric brakes snorkel etc for $13500. Gas is pretty pricey in bathurst, and off $85 I get 500k going back and forward to work. Too many people get caught up thinking that the td is the only one to buy, and pay twice the price of an LPG powered one. Use 1/4 of what you saved chucking a 3071 on it, and it will blow a td away
  8. I am surprised this thread hasn't rusted away yet..
  9. Can we all agree next time to say yes, and people do it all the time, you just unbolt it and put an R31 manifold on, even the standard ecu still works. PLEASE?!?
  10. I am now, I had an aftermarket one but it was leaking, and didn't offer any obvious benefit until I read above about the mods to the turbo pipe, which a/m one had done. Does have an Apexi suction kit and HKS hard piping.
  11. First of all search for answers, a lot of your questions you will find have been answered, 93 onwards have less issues with the oil pump due to the front of the crank being a better design. As stated above, AFM's, Coils, Exhaust cam.. Then there is the big stuff that cars of this age might need.. Clutch with labor (may as well rebuild the box too)- thousands, Turbos-thousands, spin a big end- THOUSANDS... I bought mine because all I wanted was to own an R32 V-SpecII, I will never sell it, and I have had to make sacrifices to do it. All I have had to do so far is turbos (on the big $$ list) the things to think about are: How often will you drive (often- get a 33 Gtst, very rarely- Maybe get a 32 R) How much mechanical knowledge do you have? How long do you want to keep it? Are you happy to have car that consumes money, but very rarely sees the light of day.. Having said all that, I am taking mine to Wakefield this weekend, and cannot wait, everytime I drive it I get a buzz, I love looking out my kitchen window and seeing it. Insurance wise mine is with Shannons, limited use, agreed value of $25k,the mods listed I am 29 with an all but perfect driving record, and is $1500ish.
  12. Good luck... The camping is booked out already, there is a Rydges on the bottom of Conrod, I would suggest calling the visitor info centre and seeing what they can tell you. Accomodation is at a rediculous premium that week, we go from 40,000 people to 100,000 plus...
  13. Running-7s, had shocking shuffle, car is otherwise pretty much bog stock. The problem ended up being damage to the front of the exhaust cam, which was resulting in the ignition timing moving possibly 15 degrees. The other issue we found after replacing the cam was that the timing has to be set using a plug lead between the coil and plug on 1, not the loop at the back of the head. Since fixing these 2 things I have only had it shuffle once, and was testing to see if I could get it, very gently lifting off on small throttle opening. Anyone getting shuffle I can not recomend strongly enough checking basics, like timing..
  14. Mate I am only passing on an offer, I hear you had a similar attitude when my mate tried to get in touch directly (one of several I sent this to on Facebook, because i thought it looked like a great buy). You might find as a general rule that a simple "thanks for the offer, but I am looking for cash" would be equally effective, but will put less people offside. I am sure you have tried to get a bargain before, and you can not blame other people for trying to get one. Best of luck with finding someone with the cash, I will stop hassling other people to buy it.
  15. So did you wind up 28?
  16. hire a fatogram to tell him you will pay directly to the smash repairs who complete the repairs on the scrath YOU caused
  17. Sorry if I missed something, but since when is a "stock" evo motor 2.3 litres?
  18. My first step was to decide what message I wanted my plates to convey, then how to fit that into a standard format.. *It's a real GTR *It's an R32 *V-spec ii I ended up with ZLA32V, which I am pretty happy with.
  19. Why would you need to spend $$$ to make a stock Gtr quicker than an n1? In standard form there would be SFA difference, add an exhaust and pretty sure a regular one will be quicker
  20. I can highly recommend Peter Muir at Bonds in Sydney, his work on my rally car and others I have seen has been spot on.
  21. Interested in Swaps plus cash? Got an EF or 2 on offer
  22. There are plenty of people about now who rate Hyundai build quality over Toyota etc, I know 3 people with ix35s, and all of them rave about them. I will still hassle you for owning one though Chub
  23. Twin sunroofs, 150+k, clarion head unit, auto tailgate, had both rear doors replaced? If so I was the first Aussie owner, but I did not go digging that far. While I had it all it had was a set of coils, k&n panel, exhaust and the wheels (which were not black) otherwise 100% stock. Was unreal, I had it for a few years.
  24. Or use the search function
