  3. Oh ok, perfect. Just to clarify the cruise is this weekend right? I don't think I will get my membership in the next two days if so.
  4. The lakes entrance cruise sounds interesting. I signed up to be an SAU Vic member recently but it still has not come through (I know it takes time though). Is this a members only event?
  5. Looks like a great day. I am sorry I am not in the country to attend events like this. Can't wait to join SAU Vic when I am finally back home at the end of this month. Pat, the photo of your 32 looks great! I still remember seeing your 32 years ago at an informal carwash meet... Great to see it still going strong!
  6. Definitely! Always good to meet fellow 32 GTR owners. That is so cool that both you and your brother own Silver R32 GTR's!
  7. Thanks mate Wow, love the group shot above!!! If you guys ever want a white 32 to come along next time let me know When I get back from London I will be joining Sau Vic for sure. Should have done it a long time ago.
  8. Keeping the ass theme going, here is mine:
  9. Anyone I know that sells their GTR later regrets it. Sometimes they have had no choice so it has been unfortunate... I hope I never have to sell mine - It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it!
  10. OMG! Rims are soooo nice! Work XD9's with the right offset and in white could not suit that mint shiny blue GTR better! I love it. Speaking of what are the exact specs of those wheels? I am guessing keeping them that clean is not fun?
  11. The one on my car is perfect but I agree that they are hard to find as when people have a good one they don't want to sell it. Most are warped etc. Thats why I posted that link as I think an aftermarket one is probably the best option.
  12. He would have even more money if he never bought any car and put all his money into a bank account to earn interest. I am sorry you find it so difficult to accept that he did not want to sell his car for $32k... He obviously valued his car more than that and wasn't in need of the money.
  13. Found this on Google: http://jsai.com.au/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage-ask.tpl&product_id=236&category_id=15&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=29&vmcchk=1&Itemid=29
  14. You do realise that car is in Japan!?? By the time it was shipped, landed, taxed & complianced in Aus you would be looking at over $30k.... I think it is you who is the one unaware of its value here!
  15. ^ If his wife does live there and uses the car though she could import it in her name. Just be aware that the Australian government enjoy nothing more than taxing people as much as possible and will make sure they get lots of money out of her when the car lands. My favourite is that they ignore what you paid for the car and instead require you to get the car valued to determine what the car is worth in Aus which is most likely more than what you would pay in Japan... They then take that value as the basis to apply lots and lots of tax; GST, Duty, Luxury car tax... So quite quickly what could ahve worked out saving you money may end up being no cheaper. I saw an article a while ago that showed the price of an SLS AMG in Australia.... Almost $123k of the $497k you pay goes to the government rather than Mercedes! http://www.smh.com.au/executive-style/motors/luxury-cars-why-do-we-pay-more-20110419-1dml9.html
  16. ^ You don't get a tax deduction if you get a benefit for the money... He spent $177k and in return got the benefit of a car. That is not a charitable donation
  17. Exactly, but it is very entertaining!! Top Gear is the same however I would dare say it is the most scripted show on television to the point it is becoming annoying.
  18. Nice mate... Super clean! Where'd you get your headlights?
