I have a set sitting in my garage that I haven't put on yet. As far as I know they are the only true 1inch drop all round spring. They also make comfort mode actually work. You might find it hard to believe but I actually bought my set from Nissan and then brought them back in my luggage.

Sounds like his gearbox failure was an unfortunate one in a million scenario. I am sure every car out there has a proportion of one offs where an engine and gearbox has failed for no apparent reason. I drive mine every day and it kicks ass with no issues at all. All I see is alot of jealousy from people that spend 3 times as much on a car to get the same performance. And the servicing costs are not over the top at all. And you can't immediately void the warranty by turning the VDC off. And you can use launch control on the '10 models with VDC on so then you should get the claimed 3.5sec (Australian times) that Nissan have claimed. So much crap floats around on the internet from the uneducated.

Mine had the exact same button in the exact same position and it turned on a set of lights that were under the seats. I assumed it was so you could find things at night if you lost something under the seat.

This guy is trying to save money by importing it himself and not buying one that is already here. The one in the pic is an 03 Premium Auto in black which ok could be worth another 2K on top of a Silver. But how many V35 Premium Auto coupes can you get for $20,000 on carsales when bargaining with the seller. Given the same car here you would only get $23,000 for it at the most if you sold it tomorrow. These cars are not all that easy to sell. So if the guy wants a bargain and that is why he is doing it to save some money then it should cost under $20,000 for it to be worth it. You are paying $7000 to much when you compare it to cars you can buy here right now. Manuals Premiums are more expensive than Black autos and I know of a few that have sold for less than $23,000. What people ask and what they get are completly different things.

I drove an SS Camaro around the US for 3 weeks. Did around 2300k's in it. It was a 6.something V8 which honestly I thought was a bit slow and low on performance. I compared it to slightly less power than a 350Z however in the flesh the car looks awesome and was a pleasure to drive. As they only cost $30K new they are a bargain in the States and well worth the money. But paying $140K for one here is a joke, you could get a secondhand r35 GTR for that.

Correct. There are no further tax deductions beyond a purchase price of approx $57K. You can only claim the GST if the entity purchasing the vehicle is an ABN holder and the vehicle is either new or bought second hand from another ABN holder and they can provide you a tax invoice for the purchase. But even then you are capped on your GST claim to the luxury car tax threshold. The only advantage in buying a car higher than the luxury car threshold and even if you can call it an advantage is claiming a higher interest payment. Even better if you can justify 99% company use. False ecomony in my opinion. But I bought for the vehicle, tax benefits were just a bonus.
