They said 80 but the radar said 60 I said I may have been doing more than 40 but definitely not 80 as o was surrounded by taxis at the time. They even said they had to go around a taxi to get to me. So in reality I could not have been going any faster than the car in front. So I was booked for doing 57kph. If you think that is fn stupid that's ok with me.

I don't think so as it was 40kph over and they knocked it back to 17 over which saved my liscence. I did treat them with respect so I think that went along way towards the good outcome.

    New Gtr (2011)

Getting rid of that 0.5secs of nothingness at the start would be great. I,ll also take a hard look at the 2011 when it arrives.
  8. LOL I love the bit about the r34 being better and also the bit about the R35 being un reliable. Awesome.
  9. I have a pair you can have for $25 plus postage from Vic
  10. I guess I will have to set the record straight. The car has not been resprayed due to a accident or anything like that. As we all know Black paint is one of, if not the hardest colors to keep from scratching. The joke is that if you look at black paint the wrong way it will scratch. Now I am not talking about paint removing scratching but more the fine spider web imperfections that you can see swirled across a black car in certain lights. That is what my car had, to almost everyone else they wondered what I was talking about as the car looked great in most light conditions but I always knew it was there. I have been told that the original black R35 GTR paint is approx half the thinkness of BMW paint (Using a paint meter) my car also had the standard amount of stone chips associated 20,000K's of driving a GTR. The semi slick tyres spray up alot of stones onto the quarter in front of the rear tyre, the factory clear bra is not even remotely large enough to stop the chipping in the paint. If the original paint was thicker it would have a better impact resistance. All i have done is improve on the original Nissan paint by putting further color layers and further clear coats in the hope of making it more scratch resistant. Just like when you buy a new car and they ask if you want further paint protection at an extra cost. The GTR black is not much good and neither is the white from what I have read. I had no intention of selling the car hence why I did the mods and was willing to spend money on improving the paint work. My original thought process was to get the car wrapped in Matte Black which is what I always wanted but I thought that if I ever get sick of the wrap or something went wrong with the wrap over time and I wanted to pull it off I would be back at square one again. It also took me 2 months to find someone that I was comfortable in doing the work on the car. I finally went with File Finish after being recommended to them by another Black R35 GTR owner as they do mostly exotic car work. i.e Bentley, Lambo, Ferrari and have the contract with Aston Martin in Melbourne to do all their painting. However, things change and as some of you know I am partial to Audi's (I own an A5 coupe as well) and a nice V10 R8 has presented itself for sale and my thoughts were that if I had a few bites on the GTR and it sold it would leave me in a position to by the R8. I am not financially able to buy the Audi without selling the GTR. That is the reason for the sale not because there is something wrong with the car. I didn't feel that I needed to justify the sale of the vehicle hence why I never gave a reason for the sale.
  11. It's still black. It's just a better quality paint job. Why Nissan decided to put the same quality paint as a Nissan Micra on a $180K car is beyond me.
  12. A quick search will also tell you that I was never happy with the quality of the Nissan paint and was debating from day one if I was going to wrap it in Matte Black or get it resprayed in a better quality job than Nissan. If you are implying that the car was involved in an accident and required it to be re-sprayed then you are just trying to stir up trouble and are dead wrong. I spent $1000 on a professional polish on the car and was still not happy with the job so while I went overseas for 3 weeks I had it over at file finish getting a re-spray so when I got back it would be BETTER than new. I belong to numerous forums and there are alot of people out there that know the vehicle and myself personally and I take offense to what you are insinuating with your question. Once the car is sold I think it will become clear why I sold it.

    Two-tone White

Yep, That's mine. No more crappy Nissan paint. I was completely sick of the poor paint finish.
  15. I will come down for this one. Are you going to have an R35 GTR class? By the way, when do I get my little purple member logo on the left there?

    That's a great pic.
  17. My last car was a 6 Speed Manual 2003 Skyline and I did a fair amount of k's on that and I really liked the manual gearbox, loved changing the gears, loved bagging the tyres out at will. Now I have done around 12,000k's in the R35 GTR and I can tell you that I will NEVER own another floor shift manual again. The shifting of a floor shift is so slow and antiquated pushing the clutch in and waiting for the revs to pick back up is just crazy when the R35 box will change gears flat out on the accelerator. As far as being fun, once again driving around town in manual mode flapping the padels is awesome, I love it, just listening to the car burble on full throttle is great. It will get sideways if you let it or you can just smoke any car on the road. I dragged an R34 GTR a few times off the lights a couple of weeks back and I may as well have been dragging your mums Magna. As everyone else that owns an R35 has been saying unless you have put a few k's on one of these cars you are a bit delusional if you think an R34 GTR will even come close. (No offence to R34 GTR owners as I still think it is a great car, and looks cool too) So in answer to the OP, No I definately would not want a Manual box in the R35.

    No worries. Anytime.
  21. I agree 100% with everything quoted above. To me all Porches look the same and I cant tell the difference from one to the other. My GTR always gets people looking even if they have no idea what it is they can just tell it goes fast. I wouldnt know if your Porshe had a turbo or not.
  22. So what is the cost of this kit?

    R35 Power

LSX-438 what are the basic bolt-ons that you have, I remember reading a post that you had done a midpipe and tune only. Has there been anything beyond that now? What is the E85 tune, is that much different to the Stage 3 Willall tune?

Well she just wrote of 2 vehicles and a guard rail. She will be paying that off for a while. And people come on here asking about driving turbo cars on P plates etc. This is a perfect example of why you should drive a vehicle within the law and have insurance, as this could happen to you.
