Shims are only good upto 2010 model with excess play. Unlike the clipped 2011 plus.

So Martin, if you have a 2011-2012 bellhousing out of the car is there anything that can be done to stop all noise? I don't want to put it in and still have it noisy.

12K is crap. You only need to replace the bellhousing. As domino_z has pointed out it is $800US. Around $1000shipped. Nissan Aus will sell you one for $1400 if you don't want to be a cheap arse like me. In the US, Nissan used to pay the mechanics for 8hrs labour under warranty to replace it, they have now dropped that down to 4hrs. It can definately be replaced without the motor coming out. You would be looking at $3000 tops to have this job done. The 2011 and 2012 bellhousings are the same part number and as has been told to me these are the ones that have been re-designed to stop the issue from occuring. Willall do make a fix with shims for around $200 to take up the slack but for me I prefered just to buy a new part than I knew was correct from the beginning. I hope this helps somewhat.

That's correct, cheap as in track time. The day is setup so that you will have around 3 hours of track time yourself. Only contending with minimum traffic not another 120 cars. That amount of time may be to much for some people so you may even get a few laps on your own if you hang around all day.

Hi Everyone, Unfortunately due to lack of interest we have postponed Cruiz-A-Palooza to 2013. What this means is that we have a trackday at Winton on Tuesday the 27th that we have to fill. We are limiting entries to ONLY 30 cars at the moment we have half the positions filled. The price is $250 and we have the track from 8am to 5pm, we just want to get our money back so this is a really cheap price when you are guaranteed so much track time given there will be a very limited number of cars. If you have ever wanted to drive a track in more of a relaxed fun atmosphere rather than thinking you have to compete with anyone else then this is your chance. I have the same sound. Chirp is a good description. It's just one of many noises I am trying to track down and fix at the moment. I'll let you know if I make any progress.

The flywheel rattle was meant to be fixed in the 2011. I just noticed yours is a 2011 so it may be exhaust.
