  1. They probably sit lower than other makers, which would be a bad thing normally.
  2. Cubes had a R32 GTS-t didn't he? It harder to fit the RWD RB2x/30 because of the over the rocker cover intake manifold which reduces clearance even further. The GTR's have more clearance but there are still bonnet problems, also with the GTR's you can't drop the engine like with the RWD's because your dropping the drive shafts as well. There's 38mm difference in the blocks.
  3. well your just silly then. Why pay $30,000 for a parts kit that you can do in Australia for $50. RIPS are pulling over 10,000 rpm on burn out and 1400HP on a standard RB30 block with standard crank and crank girdle.
  4. and then there's the fact that the port s on an RB20 are tiny so there is a bigger restriction in the intake tract.
  5. Edited my first post.
  6. The L2NS (Level 2 Non-Speed)day licence is the $25 licence. A L2S (Level 2 Speed)licence is $55, and that $55 comes off the cost of a year licence ($100) if you bring in the receipt to the office within a month of the payment. 7. DONE SAU_Timing_Sheet_03.xls
  8. The times will be up Late tonight or tomorrow, it's taking ages to type them into Excel and i need a nap now as i'm knackered.
  9. The AC will be coming out of my 180 before the engine goes back in. I have only used it twice in 5 years and both times was only to see if it worked; besides i might need the room to fit a bigger turbo, maybe
  10. Anyone have a SAU:SA logo that i can use for a banner in the timing sheets? If they have just post it up here and i'll copy it off. The filter will work you just don't want to completely fill the tank if you leave 10 litres out of the tank you won't get leaking due to expansion. With Dirt Circuit racing we have to have a cop tail (a hose that is curled round and round to stop fuel just splashing out) but having said that we weren't using an EFI system just carbies.
  11. Just wait for confirmation on the timers from: BIT SUS 4dr taxi man and writeoff (Sharing with tangles) Picking up the timers tomorrow afternoon and would prefer confirmation before i do.
  12. RB25 run 9.0:1 static compression standard and have slightly higher compression figures because of that. Of a healthy engine you should be looking for 160-170psi. As long as they are all within 10-12psi it should be fine but with 90 psi you will be down a fair bit on power. EDIT!! Here's the figures from my manuals; 1.20 MPa = 12 BAR = 176.4 psi 1BAR = 14.7 psi Standard: 176.4 psi Limit : 132.3 psi Difference between cylinders: 14.7 psi
  13. I started at -2.5 degrees and have put another -degree in since. Being 4WD you want as little as you can get away with as you are reducing your drive traction the more you lean the wheel over. I'd start at -2.5 and after your first session i'll look at your tyres and see if you need any more.
  14. Who's got SAU stickers, i want one for my laptop and one for my tool box.
  15. As i said to Adrian on MSN i don't think he quoted for the board, a board + install + tune would be around the $7-800 mark. So what he paid for he got but there was a communication breakdown some where. If he paid $7-800 then he should get some money back.
  16. adrian log onto MSN
  17. your in, heslo your out. Niksta you know they are $42 to hire and you'll be signing a form accepting the cost of replacement if it breaks? If so welcome to the party.
  18. The unit that store the times is in the car with you and the signal is what is placed on the side of the track. The units will display the time as you pass the signal in big lettering and the best lap will be show at the top of the screen in small lettering. The units will store all the lap times which i will copy to a spreadsheet at the end of each session. people sharing the times will have to allow me enough time to copy all the times over.
  19. i mentioned in the last post i made that there was another timer up fro grabs if people wnated it but i haven't had any response from that post. I'll take you off if someone want the spot.
  20. Tangles i'd suggest doing what Barty (Blue32) does when he takes the engine out of his car and that is take undo the bolts on the x member and lift the car over the engine. the advantage in doing it this way is that you can take the engine and the trans out and back in together. which is a huge advantage when putting it back in because those trans's are not the lightest in the world. EDIT!! But you weren't asking about taking it out yourself
  21. Ok, Can i get confirmation from these people that they still want the timers (i don't want to be left out of pocket on this). Aberax Destroy semislickR32 Tangles / writeoff (Share) Scandyflick BIT SUS Krishy 4dr taxi man HELSLO Josh (What's his username) Heslo Heslo's +1 If people want to pay before hand them send me a PM and i'll send you my bank details.
  22. OH F*#K; I didn't know what lemonparty.org was so i went to have a look; won't be doing that again.
  23. Geez Jake you have come a long way from the old CA. 20psi on a 25G would be hardly working that turbo at all. Greddy turbos love the boost
  24. The penalty for gutting cats only applies to businesses and it's $10k so you won't find a business that will do it. and really it's only 4 bolts so just do it yourself.
  25. SR i'm guessing? what ECU do you have? Remap or Power FC. If it's a remap have you thought about getting Jeff (Speedlab) to do your tuning. Even if it's a power-FC Jeff would be the one to see. Jeff has consistently got better results than Michael, even on the same cars.
