  1. Barty was saying he was hitting the top of fourth at the line; and at 8000rpm (he runs a 9000 limiter) that's 230km/h.
  2. Zebra, think about the order of the strokes, Your thinking that the exhaust stroke happens after the intake stroke (which it does, eventually) so if your advance the intake cam timing your moving it away from the exhaust stroke, but the exhaust stroke is immediately before the intake stroke so advancing the intake timing moves it further into the ending exhaust stroke. The intake stroke has compression and power before you get back to exhaust.
  3. Sorry I thought you were saying that the torque varies with revs purely due to friction. lol
  4. Torque changes through the rev range due to changing Volumetric Efficiency.
  5. ^^^ If you were to be watching an R35 GTR in a Japanese touring car race you would be watching a NA V8 Nissan as Nissan don't use the VR38dett or AWD in their race cars.
  6. They were running twin 25G's but since the car now used for circuit work as well as an occasional hill climb they have switched to twin 20G's. They still have the 25G's and i assume that if Adelaide ever gets another drag strip they may make a return. Still makes over 600kw on E85 with the 20G's though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OX4aAw1vA9I
  7. Where was it at that price?
  8. I thought the south were the confederates and the north were the yankies?
  9. So how long have you owned petroleum shares?
  10. Valve stem seals.
  11. The tolerance for reading an analogue gauge is +/- half the smallest increment, so if you have 10km/h marks on your spedo the reading error is 5km/h, and you can get number of books or 'expert's to state that is the case.
  12. Bet they're open deck though like the subi boxers which means that there would be more required than just a HG.
  13. I feel like Fighting some Foo tonight, anyone else going to be Fighting Foo this evening? P.S. i'm going to be Cooling down a Chisel tomorrow night as well.
  14. Video of a flock of pigeons;
  15. AFAIK the S and SH are both 12 blade, only the SL2 is an 11 blade. The S and SL2 are rated the same but from what i have read the SL2 blade design was designed for small capacity engines and actually flows slightly more than the S.
  16. is that the one that was up on eBay?
  17. And just to match Steve's post that started this all;
  18. Have you guy that are claiming that there is no scientific proof actually actively looked into the field or are you just relying on what you have pick up during your life. Because if you actively look into it there is a lot more evidence for evolution that there is for creationism. Also the formation of stars and galaxies are explained by Einstein's General relativity. EDIT!! This will end up being a fruitless debate for all involved.
  19. I'll take the Pedal setup.
  20. Hey Mate, I'll take it. Where you located, PM me?
  21. Think is because it spinning up, hence even though the speedo is saying 160 the car is only doing 100, while he's bouncing off the limiter the car is still accelerating. If he shifts to early hell fall off boost and he'll have to wait until he reaches his 6000 boost threshold again.
  22. Personally I'd like to see these new compressors fitted to cropped 56.5mm GT30 turbines rather than GT28 NS111 turbines. The cropped turbines can still be fitted into T2 housing but the extra flow means that they might just allow the compressors to hit their straps. From what I have seen I agree with what others have said in that the 71mm compressor it slightly choked by the hot side so trying to flow more through the same housing/turbine is slightly a step in the wrong direction. I'd like to see what a cropped GT30 turbine fitted to 52 trim 71mm compressor would go like, should allow the full potential of the GT-RS compressor to realised.
  23. F*#KEN McAfee, Just logged onto my internet banking to transfer my pay into my offset account and i noticed that Mcafee have debited my credit card to the tune of $50. Check my email and find that on the 10th of October they sent me an email saying that they have set up an automatic renewal system and unless a email them they are going to debit my CC. It's utter BS that if they set up an Automatic Renewal they they make it an opt out system (i said it was unethical in the email i just sent them), and the other thing is that i never authorised them to keep my CC details so there i no way they should be able to just debit the card. Considering contacting the media.
