  1. Catch you all out there.
  2. thinking about about coming out for a squiz.
  3. Battery world, Deka battery is what you are after.
  4. i thought they were selling the CSR E85, the drum i have seen were red and had CRS sticker on the side.
  5. If they don't know about it.
  6. what was the test pressure?
  7. Just have your laptop handy and you can have 100's of tunes. With Power-FC you will need FC-Logit which will cost you around another $450 but once you have that you can do anything. I run this; Which allow the same switching of maps and you retain the factory ECU so you retain the knock control that you lose with P-FC. The only thing that it doesn't have compared to P-FC is 20x20 map resolution, it retains the factory 16x16 resolution. http://www.nistune.com It's only $440 including the chipset and the tuning software. You'd still have a problem if you get a sub grade batch of E85 wouldn't you as you physically have to switch the tunes don;t you it's not automatic.
  8. The skylines have knockmaps but they are more for saving the engine so they generally are very rich and retarded (i.e. gutless). If your running Power FC you don't have any knock control, you just get a flashing light on the dash if you get a knock event. you do get a knock value on you hand controller as well. From what i understand about the flash tunes your tunes are specific to a certain fuel. You do have knock maps but they aren't the same as what the multifuel vehicles run; They run an infinite amount of maps for every fuel grade. EDIT!! Have a read of this, it's for an aftermarket gauge to let you know your ethanol content but it gives some background into multifuel vehicles. http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/ECA/ECA.htm
  9. The cars that are designed to run on E85 are Multi fuel vehicles. They have a sensor in the tank and can run everything from E0 to E100?. They do this by having flexible maps that adjust to the fuel that is in the tank. we don't have flexible maps; we have a fixed tune that creates problems if the properties of the fuel change from what we had in the tank when we got it tuned. The service stations don't guarantee the ethanol content and they definitely don't guarantee the octane rating (not that the fuel is rated by octane rating), Jeff mentioned that from what he has seen with the E85 tunes there is a definitely a consistency problem in that if a car returns to the dyno he has to change the tunes because the fuel properties have changed from tank to tank. The scotchers E85 though is guaranteed to be the same every tank, after all it's what the V8 touring cars are running and they need consistency. It's up to you what you run, at the end of the day it's your engine; but fuel isn't the thing to cheap out on.
  10. i would think that an active LSD would be quite saleable. If your going to go 2 way use another V-LSD casing and sell you A-LSD.
  11. If Pitlane do it for $250 then i'll do it for that (once again you supply the oil you want to run). If you want to stay and watch then that's fine as well, then you can do it yourself next time.
  12. Who was saying bail? your safer in the car than you are out of it.
  13. Simon have a read of the turbo smart instruction manual, i know it's a different controller but they go through the different setups and advantages and disadvantages of each. Pages 6, 7 and 8. eBoost2_Manual_V3.16.pdf
  14. The S13 SR filter has the same thread and is smaller; a lot smaller. Make sure it's the S13 (Non-VTC SR20) filter not the S14/15 (VTC SR20) filter. 15. doesn't he then roll it after that or was that another video?
  16. Top fuel drags cars on ONE HD now. If you want to see what we'll get if we get our track have a look now.
  17. Not all Jap cars have dash dimmers, when the cars are complied they are added if they don't have them and generally the dimmer switches used are cheap shitty. Just do away with the dimmer and the rear parkers would be on a different circuit, if they weren't when you dim the dash you would also be dimming the parkers. With the parkers I'd look at the fuses first and then the the bulbs if the fuses are good
  18. Just get one of those greddy copy intakes, you can pick them up for around $300 now and they aren;t as bad as they were when they first came out. The one i ahve is as good as an actual greddy manifold (well the pictures i have seen of them anyway)
  19. well let me know if you want me to do it.
  20. I was going to say around the $200 mark and you supply the oil. Anything with HICAS though will be more as they are a bitch to get out, or you can just bring me the diff itself and it'll be $200. EDIT!! Chad you'd want yours pretty much locked wouldn't you?
  21. AFAIK, they were bolt in items on the RB25's, but they were also designed for RB25's in R33's not R32's. I suspect that adrian will be using the RB20 mounts (the metal engine side bracket) on his RB25 because they run the angled engine mount unlike the R33 that have the flat horizontal mounts. If he swapped the cross member over to a R33 one then that theory goes out the window. Speaking of RB20 mounts, have you still got those mounts Craig?
  22. Shimmed diff, you can get one in My Garage.
  23. There are advantages of the NEO head that have been mentioned above, one of the limitations is that you are limited to 9.25mm of lift with your cams due to at exposing of a gallery if you go any higher.
  24. Steve i think it's safe to say that it was said in jest, either that or he is only interested in hanging out with our lady members; which is completely understandable. LoL
  25. you can't just fit GTR injectors and expect it to run, you will need to wire in the dropping resistor from a GTR as well and it will need to be tuned, and when i say tuned a proper tune (changing the fuel maps) not just whacking it on the dyno and playing with the CAS. Expect to pay $450-$600 for a proper tune. So with injectors and resistor your looking at around $900.
