  1. well i wouldn't want to build a house there. I'm a civil engineer and AFAIK it's only suitable for an industrial area but delfin want to make some more money from another cramped development in a non suitable area so they get what they want because they have access to the back door dealings of the labour party. That drag strip would ahve brought in more money that the development will bring in. Also do a liitle search on acid sulphate soils.
  2. Lets see rann try and stop us finishing that track. I still think we need to try and get a decent surface on the track before we start racing. You'll have your car finished before we finish ours, which is a bit sad considering we started ours over 4 years ago.
  3. This is what was actually written;
  4. Just read on NS that the Gillman site has just been sold to Delfin. So if that's true then it's the end of the Gillman Motorplex.
  5. I can see that it'll get built correctly anyway. Where is the SCCSA going to get the many millions of dollars needed to do the job correctly. If AIR needs 10-15 million to be spent on it to bring it up to scratch then at least taht amount is going to be need to build one correctly from scratch. They will find it dificult to get investment dollars while the consortium is planning to build a site MUCH closer to the city because TB would just die out if that ever got built. What is more than likely going to happen is the a second rate site will be built (after all this is SA),meaning that we once again won't get top fuelers coming here, then the state government will close the book and say there you go you got what you wanted.
  6. sounds like a win.
  7. I have spoken to the Liberal party about the proposed new motorsprot park and the TB site is 100% an alternative to the Gillman site. That is what they were proposing (although they haven't spoke to the consortium yet), so if the TB site gets built the Gillman site will never get built. Also Andra pulled their certification because the surface wasn't flat enough and the run off wasn't long enough. They gave their requirements to Bob Jane and he refused to comply so they pulled their certification. The Gillman site is a 100 year flood plain so there will not be residential housing built there, it'll be an industrial zone at best.
  8. So how are the street meets going to work? you have to trailer your car there because if you break anything you'd be up for $500 or more to get it towed home or you will have to go to the city hire a trailer and then do another trip to pick it up. Also due to the distance it will have little or no effect on the 'hoon' problem because the punks aren't going to travel 130km when they can do it closer to the city. EDIT!! And really what is the advantage in the Tailem bend site, the fact that it as some bitumen already laid? this is no advantage as the building of the strip will require that a proper surface is laid down otherwise ANDRA won't certify it like they pulled their certification of AIR. So again what is the advantage in using that site?????? Gillman is a much better site and the fact that the land their isn't suitable to residential housing is the biggest + because it means that there will never be a curfew put on the strip like what occurred at AIR and Speedway park.
  9. It's too far away and if it gets built well never get the proper complex from the consortium.
  10. how much power do you want?
  11. Here you go it's a perfect turbo for a 20. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=414681. You can get 300kw our of this turbo but 260-280kw is more reasonable. And don't fore get that this is a $1800 turbo when it is new. You might want to change the turbine housing though. EDIT!! Sorry missed the bit that said that it was sold.....lol
  12. I'm not sure about that compressor wheel, i can't find anything that even looks close to it and it doesn't look like the current generation of 20G wheels although the inducer specs are very similar to the 20G size. I have something perfect for you; BRB.
  13. well i think it's an early version (judging by the compressor wheel) of a TD06SH-20G. It'll be laggy as it's the biggest of the TD06's before you go to a T67. But it's a 330kw turbo. It's too big for a 20 though, See you should have gone 25.
  14. Last question, How many blades on the turbine wheel and measure the exducer on that as well. P.S. the compressor inducer wouldn't be 52.7mm not 55 would it?
  15. Has it got any numbers on the CHRA and what are the numbers on the compressor housing? I was thinking it was a Mitsubishi turbo and if it come up as a TD06 then that would confirm it. What is the compressor inducer measurement?

  17. need more stretch on the rear as per my rears;
  18. You do know that BOV and waste gate are used to achieve different things. Legally you need to retain both, although the ADR's don't state anything about a force inducted car needing a BOV (although they will claim it's a emissions requirement), but hey it's not like regency don't make the rules up as they go.
  19. Adrian you do know that when the car starts to step out on you your supposed to correct the slide; I bet that tyre bundle was coming up quickly.
  20. they can send you to regency for 1 item if they like it's up to their discretion and will depend on what the defect is for. The 3 defect thing is that if they find 3 or more defects then they have to send you to regency. What do you mean by this? And if it is still the factory BOV and it still have the hose running back to the intake then you will be fine for that, but really you shouldn't have been driving around without a front bar.
  21. i can but it'd probably be better if you spoke to him cos' he'll just say that he won;t do it if i ask. When he did that last seat it took him ages and he didn't quote enough. i remember he said that he wouldn't do one again for that price. It'll cost you more that the seat itself. Any how give him a try; Matt: 0447739992
  22. well it isn't 10 years old so that's a start. Just make sure its a genuine walbro and get it from an authorised (like MTQ) dealer not ebay.
  23. Here's some pictures of one of them fitted;
  24. Just pull the fuel pump fuse and take the relay out as well, unplug the coil packs and they won't be able to take it. and unless they really know what they are doing they won;t know why and even if they do unless they have a relay with them they won't get it started (easily).
  25. well it depends on what you want the car for. If you want the N1 then you want a car to look at mostly and drive occasionally and never mod. If you want to mod a GTR then an N1 is a waste because as soon as you start modding things it isn't an N1 anymore. Before you say that you are happy driving a stock GTR get some people to take you for a drive in their's, 1 stock and 1 modded. The reason i say this is because i'm used to driving modded cars and i recently drove a mates stock R33 GTR back from melbourne for him and i must say that i was severely disappointed. My mildly modded 180sx would eat a stock GTR any day of the week, they are a very doughy car. Having said that it doesn't take much to get them to a point where they will beat most, but that means modding. My vote is for the non-N1 GTR + mods if you want a quick car and the N1 if you like telling people you own an N1. Personally because i like building and driving quick cars i wouldn't even look at the N1.
