  1. I know what yoru talking about, it's a shit design i can't see how you can't get boost spiking with that setup. What turbo is he using? Yeah thats the gauges that i use, if you want a set matt can get them through his business.
  2. Split dump wasn't it? They are what suck not the wastegate. Bellmouth FTW
  3. With big turbos cams can make you up to 50kw depending on the size of the turbo and the amount of head work done as they allow you to move the turbos into their efficiency range, but like chad said with small turbos they won't affect peak power much but will allow you to move the power around the rev range and can get you some nice gains on torque. Here's some graphs from when we were playing with the cam gears on my car.
  4. It'll be another 180 to do that 25 conversion on. with all the parts that would be coming out to do the conversion i would be basically parting out the whole car so I'll sell the current 180 and start again with another stocker.
  5. yep it will be up for sale in a few months. There are a couple things coming out of it like the gauges but there will be a replacement don't worry.
  6. Might sell my car;
  7. no such thing as a bit excessive, do you see this bloke saying that "can't use those rims as they are a bit excessive" NO. This car was originally built in Adelaide as well i do believe.
  8. Highway driving you should get more like 10L/100, just keep it off boost and it'll use less fuel.
  9. NS has crashed completely now
  10. and if you use shannons the you will get a 10% discount when you get/have a CAMS licence.
  11. Stainless have a lot higher tensile strengths than regular bolt and they also won't rust. If you decide to go for an allen key head make sure that you go for cap head and not button heads as the mating section on the button heads aren;t deep enough and you will go through a number of sets in a dyno sessions as they strip. My brother and i went through all this while developing adjustable gears for CA's
  12. Has to be a CA,
  13. while your forking out the cash you might as well go for a holinger full sequential box like what the Gibson cars used to run, they're pretty cheap too only around the $30-$40,000 mark. http://www.holinger.com.au/gtrsixspeed.html
  14. It's only working intermittently for me as well, they were having some problems with the FS section on new version and Loz is working on fixing it so perhaps he's just in the middle for doing something so the access is restricted
  15. no they will only take off a fraction of a mm when the machine them and Matt generally slots them deep enough that the rotors will be stuffed before you get to the bottom of the slots.
  16. No he can do the slotting but he can't do the machining as both sides have to be done in the same setup and with a CNC you can only work on one side per setup. Luke from memory the machining was around $25+GST each last time i got mine done.
  17. you guys be trippn' if you want some rims that are the bomb then you can't go past the Ronal Teddy's They are all win;
  18. and given all that coin RIPS are making the same power and pulling 10,000rpm on a dirty old VL 3 litre block that cost $100. Infact give RIPS NZ$19,500 (less 20% for exchange rate) and they'll give you a 1100+HP ready completely engine. http://www.ripsltd.com/products.html
  19. This is what you want dave; (well part of it) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TuneAgent-Billet-Al...id=p3286.c0.m14
  20. 0 and i'm not missing the 1

    well they shouldn't be accepting it, I've worked in hospitality for 10 years and never accept out of date ID's. how many people give their younger siblings their out of date licence when they get a new one?????? That's why you don't accept it.
  22. A big HB (Happy Birthday) to Jenkies
  23. Yes a non turbo one will be the same. With the one that you have taken off, being tight won't effect the performance of the CAS and apart from the bearings there are no touching parts in them, they are just a round disc with two sets of holes, one set has 360 holes and the other set has 6. Optics are used to gain the signal so apart from the bearings there isn't anything else touching.
  24. that's why bellmouths s#*t all over split dumps.
  25. the gaskets will be the same appart from that the 26 will have larger holes where that head studs. The proof is that with 25-26/30 conversions both the 25 and 26 head will fit the 30 block without modifications.
