I have a quick question about the Garrett turbo range. Someone said that the GT-RS (GT2871R 52T i.e. -10's) turbos are still too laggy on the a 3 litre. What i was wondering is if anyone has used the smaller of the GT2871R turbos (the 48 trim) on either a 26 or 30. They are placed in the middle of the GT28RS (-5) and the GT2871R 52T (-10) yet i have not seen anyone using them, it seems when people want a bigger turbo than a -5 they go straight to the -10, when the 48T is also an option. This is the turbo i'm talking about, obviously it will need a custom compressor housing. http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...1R_743347_1.htm

He's a pole smoker so he will reply. He races a shitty little tin top standard class car and he loves telling people what the rules are in Dirt Circuit when he has only been racing for 2 years. People like my brother and me have around racing all our lives; dad raced before we were born, and we have been racing ourselves since we were 10. Yet he loves informing us of the rules. He's a pole smoker! Well i'm pulling the engine out tomorrow to clean some stuff up for Extreme HP Show, so if i have the engine back in i'll make an appearance. I'll be fitting the 264x9.0 cams while the engine is out so it'll be making some more power when it runs next. Hopefully 230-240rwkw @ ~17psi, but at that point the AFM will be at it's limit.

Another hoon debate. http://www.dirtcircuitsa.com/index.php?sho...p;#entry8834839

yep you start with 0 and once you accrew 12 points you are in trouble. It's a common missconception that you lose your demerit points when you actually gain them.

Have a look at this thread, It's not completely compatible with what you are asking but they used a GTR plenum welded onto the RB20 runners, standard RB20 bottom end, standard cams with shimmed valve springs, big turbo and lots of boost. Was just done for shits and giggles to see how much a standard RB20 can take before they blow. they made 370rwkw and never killed it. The boost flat line is because that's the max' of the MAP sensor. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Tu...-M-t214053.html

you can ask for anything but your chances of getting it are minimal since it was a private sale so it's a case of buyer beware. that's why buying engine off wreckers will cost you more because they generally come with a start up warranty, so in this case you would have been covered. I'm still waiting for you to clear the air about your claims about TT. you read the post that SLED made and yet you didn;t see fit to reply. SCANDY; S1 R33 and R32 AFM will support around the 210-220rwkw, but the SII R33 (pink sticker, 3 wire plug) will support around the 235rwkw mark. i wouldn't pay more than $100 with the plug for one. I paid $55+20 for the plug for mine and if you look around you can still find them for that price.

i work nights, just wondering whether is was worth getting the night off for it since i will be getting the night off for the rally.
-
so whats the go with the meeting? Is there going to be pollies there that will listen to our points or is it just organising the rally. If it's the former then i will come but if it's the latter then i might just go to the rally.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NISSAN-SKYLINE-R32-...id=p3286.c0.m14 It's good but is it worth $13,000

^^^ you know I've been thinking that same thing, god we could have a field day if we could prove it.

this is the 10.1 inch aspire one there is a 8.9 inch version but after looking at other 8.9 inch net books they are too small for me (as it is it's taking ages to type even with this one cos of my fat fingers). This is the D250 version which i have had the RAM upgraded to 2Gb, it has a 160Gb hard drive and a 1.6GHz processor. all the small net books run the same intel N270 processor, the reason in when for the D250 over the D150 is most of the specs are higher, the RAM is upgradable (standard they came with 1Gb) and they have bluetooth standard as well and it's <$100 between the two anyway. i paid $668 with a LITEON duel layer external DVD burner included. i will get a 16Gb SD card for it and put all most of my stuff on that, that'll be next week though asi ahve just bought a 9 cell battery for it because the standard 3 cell one is lucky to last 3 hours. I wanted something small for uni as well as Data logging at the track and eventually i'll run some lipstick cameras to it as well.

Like my new purchase, it HUGE. http://www.acer.com.au/acer/product.do;jse...;CRC=1864640160 25.8x18x2.54 cm and just to give you an idea how big that is;

It depends on where he bought the engine from though, if it privite sale it's buyer beware.
-
as if you didn't pop the bonnet on the Tida, that would be sick
-
You can buy brand new -5's for less than that.
-
Well i guess it depends on who you get to do your timing then. The People doing the modern reg' timing have been checked against electronic timers and they were within 0:00.010

What do you mean why? you have just dragged their name through the mud by saying that they are going to leave you high and dry and now that they are offering to help you out you won't correct what you have previously said. That is why? P.S. they found it very interesting that you were having a winge online when in their eyes they were in discussions with you and that nothing had been decided. Also that you were saying that you weren't saying anything about the incident but it was your mates that were winging, this clearly isn't the case.

PM sent And what did he say Mitch? Tell the truth now because i to have spoken to TT.

I find this very hard to believe, every time i have been there first thing in the morning for a tune all the cars had to be moved out so get to the dyno, and in every case the cars were lock and alarmed if they had alarms and the key were kept in a locked cabinet. Also comming on here and discussing it on a public forum is not the way to go about getting the issue resolved, any chance you had of getting them to helping you out is gone since you have already tarnished their name. I if was the owner of a workshop and you did that to me before i had a chance to work through it with you i would have 4 words for you; "see you in court".

people who haven;t been on the track probably won't appreciate how quick that is because it's the time it takes (or lack of it) to do the straights that shows how quick it is.
-
Here's My suggestions, Lenso Type M They need to be big 18-19, and the car will need to be lowered. But they will look TOUGH. and they are cheap and can be bought individually if one of them gets damaged.
-
What do they need money for the motorplex for, no one is asking the government for anything other than approval to build. This is how the government has got the general publics back up about the building of the track by giving the impression that these hoons are asking for millions of dollars to build a track, which is not the case.
-
what wheels don't fit your filthy approval, surely there must some wheels filthy enough for your approval.
-
i'd say $2000 for a scratched set and $2500 for a clean set. 33 GTR rims are around the $1300>$1500 mark.

I ended up running 30 hot which is around 24 cold. First session went out on 30 psi cold and they were 38 by the time I came back in.
