  4. That would be that idle and cold start air regulator setup.
  5. Anyone watching channel 10 at the moment, they're showing the Isle of Man TT. That S*#T is crazy, No regard for ones life.
  6. Anyone got an R32 RB20det ECU that they don't want and are willing to off load?
  7. I'm out. Can't make Modern Reg'. I don't have enough time to study for my exams next week as it is and it'll cost me 2 day if I do the enter. One to get the car ready and Sunday itself.
  8. Cool, I might have to enter. lol
  9. Jeff will sort it out just take it back and he will fix it. For the cold start you might need to leave it there over night though.
  10. who did the tune?
  11. Here's some NS prices for tyres, oh and they're semi's; http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=390155
  12. It's crunching because your syncro's are worn, you can reduce the amount they play up but trying some different thickness G/Box oil. there are different schools of thought as to whether to use thicker or thinner oil but i found that thicker oil worked in my box and now it never crunches. Having said that a slow shift is better for the box than slamming through the gears.
  13. The modern reg details for those who are interested; SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS & ENTRY FORM ENTRY FORM PROGRAM OF EVENTS
  14. Yep you need a L2S (Speed) licence for modern reg and most other CAMS events, the $25 day licence is the L2NS (No Speed) licence. You can still get a day licence for the L2S but it's $45; the good thing it that that $45 comes of your full L2S licence if you pay the other $45 within a month (the full L2S licence is $90). If you seriuos about cutting some quick laps then events like modern reg and super sprints if you have a quick car are the only way to go. General track days are alright for learning your vechiele and learning to drive fast using correct lines but there are too many moving obstruction if your serious about track time.
  15. At this stage i'll be doing the Modern Reg', although i'm only 85% as i have an exam on the 30th and one on the 1st. There are a few things that i have to do on my car so if i get a chance to spend a day on the car while studying for the exams then i'll be out there. After all i'm leading the Champ' at the moment, can't let that slip away. If your looking at setting some good times i would suggest doing the modern reg as you there are two groups and the grids are staged so there is a quicker car in front and a slower car behind so most of the time you get an uninterupted run, where as with the track day's....well you saw the video's. If you are a member of a CAMS affiliated club and CAMS then it's only $115
  16. Yep your right, My Bad. I miss-read this from the PDF doccument.
  17. The 25 and 26 port sizes are the same (the 25DE port size is smaller though as they are the same size as the 20 heads), if you were starting from scratch and building a big power head I would have said go for the 26 head as they have a solid setup from factory and therefore would be cheaper than setting up a 25 head with a similar setup but since you already have the 25 head ported then stick with that unless it's a NEO head, as from what i hear your limited to 9.25mm lift due to a lifter gallery with the NEO's
  18. For those interested in this car it's running a 306rwkw RB25, clicky the linky... vvv. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=321452
  19. Happy B'day for Yesterday Chad Happy B'day to me for yesterday as well
  20. This one is a RB26/30, the only thing 26 about it is the head.
  21. Dave just do what i have done set up two micro switches, one for the back lighting (so you can turn it off on long night drives as they are pretty bright) and the other is a cop switch that turns off my boost controller and all my gauges. i put the switches under the dash with the remote peak recall switches that come with the STRI gauges. Back light on; Back light off;
  22. GTR it'll almost cos you $800 to get it fitted.
  23. It'll have to be a custom rail and you will have to wire in the dropping resistor for the injectors if you use anything GTR as they are low impedance.
  24. Back to the RB20's and 25's not fitting without bonnet mods; i'm pretty sure that the people having problems are still retaining the factory intake manifold and that is where their problem lies. with an after market intake manifold there is no problem. As per the 30 question ECC has answered it.
  25. you won't be able to run the suction cap ones at the track anymore. CAMS changed their ruling at the end of last year, infact you aren't even supposed to run anything other than lipstick cams anymore (but they aren't enforcing that at this stage at mallala, and are still allowing handy cams), and if you do run a lipstick cam the brace to hold the computer (that you need to run when using a lip stick cam) must be able to hold the computer under 25G's of load. What i used was a L bracket that you can find at any hardware store and fixed it to the top of the passangers side seat belt (i.e. the seat belt mounting point near your shoulder)
