  1. there's another bushfire cruise on the same day; http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=364864 i missed this bit; so it looks like i won't be addending this one.
  2. That list is BS; S15 injectors won't support 260rwkw, it isn't an S15 engine as it doesn't have VTC and it isn't running a T51R as there is no way it will fit as a low mount and i would be surprised if a stock displacement SR could spool up a T51R; if it can spool it up would be making more like 460rwkw than 260rwkw.
  3. Well that was a fun day, even though it wasn't the actual day that we were originally aiming for I didn't mind the 5 lap sessions. The way my oil temp was rising I wouldn't have been able to do much more that that anyway. Although I only went out there for some track time, after the second session I was leading the Modern Reg' part of the day so I decided to actually try any have a crack at getting a good modern reg' place. The next session I tripled my points for the day though and took myself down to third place then after a reasonable 4th session ended up with a second place for the day. Started off doing 1:26/27's and by the end of the day was averaging 1:25's with a best of 1:24.73, not bad considering it was my first time to Mallala and was on street tyres. Here's the days results; Practice 1st Session 2nd Session 3rd Session 4th Session Fixed
  4. Hey Lance PM me your number and i'll give you the rundown. For anyone else interested we have to have the forms in today, they won't let us join on the day but they will let us join if we get the forms in by this arvo'.
  5. they are about $30-$40 from any Auto shop from memory so not that expensive, and it's a good idea to have one in the car anyway.
  6. The 25 comes from My Sisters BF who drives NO GRIP. He said that the last session the last time he was out there was at least 15 laps long which is a touch over 20 minutes (the 25 was a guess I just work out the just over 20) if your pulling 1:23's like he was. He said that the first session was 5 laps then the next was 7 and so on until the last session as above. I guess it all depends on how many people are out there as with track days. I spoke to Dave Greer today after getting hold of him through Ralph (the president)'s wife as Ralph wasn't home. Tony is the person who I was going to get hold of tomorrow so if you can PM me his number that would be great.
  7. Ok here's the run down, I spoke to a few guy's from the Austin 7's club about the modern Reg' day on Sunday as the max' temp is supposed to be 25. Normally the entry forms have to be in by Wednesday but they will let us enter on the day we just have to be there by 8:30am, i'll give them a call tomorrow with rought numbers just so they know how many extras are coming . If you read Chad's link you will know most of this; You have the have a road worthy car (Street Registered) Car, you must have a blue triangle to show the location of the battery, you must have a rear tow hook (If you are running the factory rear bar you will have this), you need an extinguisher (at least 900g) and a helmet. As for the day licence I will find out and get back to you all tomorrow. As for track time i have been told by people who have entered this event previously that it compares to a track day. The first session is short and they gradually get long throughout the day until the last session were you will be on the track for around 25 minutes.
  8. It's not against the law to sell a defected car you just ahve to make sure that the buyer is made aware of the defect. You can then fix the defects and clear it, but you want be able to transfer ownership until the defect has been cleared so make sure you get something on paper saying that you are aware of the defect and that you have purchased the car. On a side note something funny;
  9. And I only gave the guard roller I borrowed back today, if I'd know we could have fixed the rubbing problem. Jenkies as for the go hard early theory, the minimum over night is 32 (i.e. at 6:30am) the first session doesn't start until 10am, I would say the temp would have to be nudging 38 by the time the first session has started. Also Mallala is generally 2-4 degrees hotter than Adelaide. I'm going to get up at 7 am and if it dark out to the west I'll come out but if the change isn't on the horizon I'll be giving it a miss (but may still come out for a looksie).
  10. Anyone know who's running the Modern Reg' on Sunday and if the forms had to be in by now???
  11. Weather report for Saturday;
  12. Cheers for the offer, i'm at campbelltown so by the time i drive down there to pick them up and then drop them off i might as well as bought a set as their only around $40. Thanks again though Anyone in the north have any spring compressors?
  13. Anyone got a set of spring compressors i can borrow? I need to change over some camber tops. Cheers
  14. that forecast is now saying 31 degrees for saturday
  15. You can top it up with coolant if your 100% sure that you have the same brand and make of coolant that is already in the engine. If you mix active ingredients there is a chance that they can react and will turn to jelly, which isn't a good thing the have in your water jackets. Water is a safe option if your not sure since you are going to be changing it soon.
  16. have a look in the radiator, if there the level in there is fine (down around 1-2cm) then just top it up with distilled water and the same with the over flow tank.
  17. For those who only read the wasteland thread; BSM Cruise on Sunday, The start has been moved back to 6:30 Due to the heat, So 6:30 meet for a 7:30 departure
  18. no worries, I got them off the GSL Rallysport (their web page is the one linked above) they are the Australian distributor for Queensland Friction Materials pads, hence why they are cheaper, less middle men.
  19. well I can help you out for a start, I have to complete hub assemblies from an R33 that you can have for 250 for the pair (want to sell them together), i'm sure a few others will have some spare parts in there shed that they don;t want and you'll be on the road for under $1000 because once you have all the parts the rest is just bolts.
  20. Hey Craig i live in Campbelltown near the interchange and my aircon' has been pumping out cool air constantly for about 36 hours now, no power out's here (touch wood, have to say that so i don't jinx myself)
  21. Hey Chad where did you get them through? My QFM R1AM's (780degree) pads arrived yesterday but they only cost $191 posted and we should be using the same pads (unless you brembo's?) Hey Lance, If you read the feed back from the customers using the A1RM's they pretty much all say they are low dust; http://gslrallysport.com/shop/index.php?ma...p;products_id=5
  22. Anyone up for a late night drive tonight (like 11-12), Just fitted some new pads (750 degree pads for Mallala) and need to bed them in and it too hot during the day. Nothing too energetic as i need to get my car on the dyno to check the AFR's after the last few changes. And lets face it no one will be sleeping in this heat. Just PM me if your interested and i'll get back to you around 10. Meeting up in the NE preferably or centrally if there's interest. Mods can you please delete this thread after Midnight.

  24. Not dry lightning have a look at the radar, here comes some big rain drops. http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDR644.loop.shtml here's a screen shot;
  25. If the Americans still don't believe in global warming i think we should bring them over here and strap them to a cricket pitch. Last year was the longest period of consecutive days above 40 on record and this year is looking like it's going to be up there as well. P.S. i want winter back again. Not that we really get winter anymore
