  2. I was in the Fairlane. When you when thru' that intersection i was next to you turning right (was about 20m behind that white 33). I was going to yell out to you but didn't want to distract you while you were going thru' the intersection.

  6. Hello All, My mate has a Series II R33 and he running stock boost. He has had problems with it breaking down so bad at 5000 RPM that is wouldn't rev past that point (it has only been doing this for a few weeks). I suspected buggered plugs so i go him to get a set and i when to put them in this afternoon, expecting to find one of two shagged plugs. To my surprise when i pulled the old ones out they were iridiums and they were all in really good condition with good colour. The only thing that would have been better was the gap which was around the 1mm mark. So i started looking for other problems, when i pulled the boots off the coils packs none of them had the graphite electrode in them that i expected to see, (I have a CA18det 180sx and my coil packs have the electrode in them). I called one of my mates who has had a few skylines and he said that he would have expected the coil pack to have had this electrode. So the Question is; "Knowing that the Series II 33's had slightly different coil packs do they still have the graphite electrode?" The pic's; Back three Coil Packs (they were all the same); One of my old CA coil packs; Anyhow i gapped the copper plugs he bought to 0.8mm and chucked them in and it does now rev out, but we could load the engine up because it's wet and it just spins up. If the coil packs are supposed to have the tab in there when he starts running some boost then i suspect he will start having spark problems again.

  8. +1 for the rims with a set of struts (i'm sure Ryan can help you out with the latter). Then chuck a big single on and you'll be well in your way to a 350kw+ monster (with a few more additions of course).
  9. I'm pretty sure that R32/33/34 intercooler kits are interchangeable as most of them use the factory hot pipe side of the piping and for the cold side you have to cut a hole so there won't be a problem there with lining up as well. Better pull it all back off again.
  10. Congrats on the purchase. I'll be looking for one as soon as i finish building my 180, sell it and finish my degree. Either that or i'll put a 26 in a 180, fun time to be had both ways.

  12. AAA bent up my stainless intercooler piping if you want some pictures of their work let me know and i'll post some up. Also for 2 inch piping supplied and bent it cost me $140. I made up a template out of polly pipe and took it down to them and they made it up (they need 200mm between bends) i went home and cut the excess off got two tigs welds done and they then ring rolled it for me (the bead in the end of the pipes). EDIT!! At the bottom of this thread are some pictures of my piping then right at the bottom is a picture of the intake pipe i had them bend up as well, the cooler is off the car at the moment so let me know if you want more pic's and i'll post them up. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...c=278104&hl

  15. Saw a black 32 GTR driving down North East Road today about 3pm with some nice offset and stretch on the rears. Also driving next to it was a burgundy undercover VE cop car.

  17. i think you will find the officials will be there regardless of when you go. I'm pretty sure they come with the track as they are a part of CAMS and they are who is covering the insurance which is most of what you pay

  20. i think they got there groupings a bit mixed up. What was that red corolla doing in group 2? It was way slower than the rest in that group and just got in the way. I think they only group car by the drivers experience and don't take the cars into account at all. I was only out there for an hour (that heat was something else) did they put you in group 4? What colour was the evo the chick was driving?
  21. Just go to MTQ and work on them for a good price and you will get the same discount as you would with a group buy. They are the distributor for Garrett in SA.
