  1. There are a few threads about this. It getting rather boring. Here are some facts! 1. 2 Types : Blue (Basic) and Ultimate (advanced) 2. Piggyback - Universal unit. 3. You require the std. harness (usually sold sep) 4. Injector Harness Avaliable (sold sep) 5. Ignition Harness Avaliable (sold sep) 6. Sofware and tools (sold sep) - not a big deal as the PFC tools are also! 5. Pressure Sensor and Pressure Harness for greater adjustment (sold sep) * Ultimate only I think 6. A whole bunch of other senders sold seperately also as u require. * Ultimate only I think 7. If you have an in-car computer maps can be displayed in real time. * Ultimate only I think 8. I have seen, but never used "plug and play" looms. Not hard real as all they do it ensure u dont need to splice however splicing isn't all that hard. I can tell u you have to splice a lot of cables and it does take a while...and a while to remove and restore the cables if you then go and install a PFC as I did. Link to a aftermarket harness links I googled : http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=130999. Manual for the Ultimate version. Similar for the Blue version - See Page 27 http://207.245.32.243/downloads/installs/emau_inst.pdf You add up the package from Nengun: Ultimate Unit : $540 + ph Complete Harness : $105 + ph total for the until read for ur tuner = ~$650. - good price btw! Installation. If some1 does it, few hours work. Prob $150-200. Tuning cost...as with all others really. Note : Software - Not sure if its included some packagaes do and some dont. $100 from Nengun. I tuned the Blue version to ~287 rwkw a while back which I quoted before. But since then it appears the reading was high and dyno was re-cal'd. as questioned by a few people. Its more like 265 rwkw when i re-tuned with the PFC...
  2. pretty much...let u know.
  3. as he said, made be Apexi.
  4. or new stokies...all seem to go fine. But Spitfires might be easier to buy. About $600 for a set.
  5. yeah thanks mate. Might head down and see what the go is. Have fun tomorrow...
  6. not pointless at all with your setup. The SAFC is the entry point to engine management. I'm no expert but a good tuner may squeeze 15+kw gain over the stock ECU map at a guess. IN the old days when I ran an e-manage, only cat back zorst & R34 SMIC upgrade I had gains of that order. I was initially running the same, but stock boost of 7psi and it went from about 155-160 to 175 with the Emanage which does essentially the same thing as the SAFC.
  7. I too will decat my car in the next week or so and run it up on the dyno to see what difference it makes. I have a high flo already so I'm not sure how much of a gain it will be. We will see and have some flames maybe also.
  8. Just buy them from Kudos - a trader for SAU http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=135194 It comes witht he plug...easy fitting once you work out how to get the sensor off..
  9. 03 9878-9299 Call Justin, he is the sales / owner there. http://www.revzone.com.au/ Tell them Chris sent you...actually I'm chatting to him online right now.
  10. Its Harold. His links have been mentioned a few times in the oil thread. I buy my oil from him all the time, great bloke and good prices on Redline.
  11. Genesis in Mitcham? They are gone now. If its the same place, Craig who was the tuner there is now at RevZone in Nunawadding. He was and still is my tuner and does a great job for me.
  12. sounds ok. in the ball park for sure.
  13. yes it is... filled up also again.
  14. looks like a great day. sorry I had to play Soccer in the rain...lol I'II be at the next one.
  15. The SAFC can yield some good results if u have other supporting mods. Its limited by lack of injector control. Basic piggyback upgrade. THe PFC doesn't take you form 140 atw to 200atw. Supporting mods do but the PFC is a really good upgrade. Have a look in the Forced Induction Section there are a few current threads on the emanage atm.
  16. I did the same before but assumed I was wrong Al. 340hp @1bar is on close to the edge of its efficency. Bump up the boost wont yeild massive HP gains...just some more torque. ~250 seems possible on 18psi as suugested. His drift car must be running more boost and have some decent internals. Eitehr way its gonna be a good result from the upgrade.
  17. I have installed and used an emanage. It yielded similar results. I enjoy the features of the PFC so I installed that, wont look back. I had a bit of a hard time installing the emanage, ended up under my seat. Might have plug and play cables but its not plug and play unit as its still a piggyback device. The Ultimate has the toggle switch, not the std blue version.
  18. rear end u say? stock ecu and turbo?
  19. there is nothing wrong with it. however witht he PFC u can control timing and other bits on the fly its generally easier to install and revert to stock if u ask why just look at its size. you get some good read outs which are useful. More tuners are used to using the PFC shall I go on?
  20. 270rkw, hi-flow and the supporting mods...suspension blah blah 18psi @ just a tad over 3000rpm and holds stong to redline. Who is gonna complain about that. btw 15psi and 18psi much f**k all difference with a high flow in terms of power....however watch ur mid range torque go through the roof.
  21. & stock turbo? 235rwkw?
  22. second that. I have no issue with the stock one up to 270/280.
  23. nick if you go that day I will go with you...I cant go on Wed cos I have to take ppl to the football.
