so is mine. u can get vented ones for about $120 if ur really keen. Or just leave it off. But with the S1s they have an igniter that sits on the cover so u will have to mount this somewhere...thats what I am doing sooner...or later

generally yes...but not always I have seen plently of setups with other colors used. Esp. setups from O/S. best way is to use a multi-meter and test everything as suggested - I never trust the wiring lume - find out for sure is the best way. As for ground..such a common fault from the numerous setups mates have bought over for fixing...I tend to always re-ground my setups and get a really good connection onto the body somewhere... when I got my GSTS the boost guage was not working...i pulled it apart to find one of the pins was broken of the circit board...a soldered it all back togetehr and presto the beast is alive...howveer this may be a bit difficult if i have no idea. Get the multi-meter (which your gonna buy!) and test the connections...u should see 12V at the pins which plugs into the back of the guage...this will narrow down ur issue.

i was looking at the battery setup and I have a very "tall" battery which means the +Ve lead doesn't really reach properly...dunno if this is the stock size seems GHEY. I would like a battery...comes with terminal clamps yeah? I have an r33. Where did every1 get the clamp...or did every just make it?

does this one work with the stacker unit sold in s1s??? bettre question does it have any CD changing buttons on it? I can't see any so i'm not sure

thanks. I did exactly that. Took the needles off that were screwed (temp/pressure and fuel) I knew where they all should be so let the car run for 10min and put them back on - all fixed and took about 15min total. for anyone who does this...just remeber where they should go, take them off and put them back on. Turn the car off and start again and all should be sweet. KJ

hi guys...no i didn't remove the needles but I do reckon its stuffed - the calibration is out not on those to dials... u can move the needles when its running but the return to the same point. My guess...guages = stuffed. I reset the ecu ecu cos I was also doing something else and that didn't help... lol my oil pressure is like over the moon!! the temp is ok and can still be used though...but its a new cluster time if I can't work this out..ffs so annoying. thanks for the help.

hey guys I recently installed then uninstalled some white dials on my S1 R33 and I find the oil pressure and water temp has screwed up. They still move but their apparent ZERO point when you start the car is not right so they eventually go well above max... I have done this on a few cars and never had any troubles. I moved the needles down to 0 but when u start the car the water temp goes to mid way on ignition when its cold...I trying a few things but it doesn't seem to work! has anyone else had this problem...seems quite bad...maybe the servo of been screwed/moved when I installed the dials...dunno help appreciated. Chris.

GTSTs in the rain with not so good tyres and some good power = potential for bad news...u need to be careful and drive safely. We all learn...i have done that before and u sure learn the the rain and a GTST is not to be messed with.

recently I smashed my R33 into a pole in the wet...the damage bill was around the 10k mark and my excess on full comp. was about $800. damn good deal I reckon. I understand that if ur under 25 the premium is crazy...few doods in my FTO club under 25 r paying like 3k pa -OMFG who would bother?? anyway u need 3rd party at the least...and if ur doing anything that is not within their/vic roads rules u risk being voided... if u can't afford the full comp. find a car with decent full comp and wait until u can...its crazy seeing people paying 3k a year for their insurance just cos they are under 25. another thing if ur record is bad or if u get caught doing somthing illegal you will pay the price with excessive premiums even when u r 30

just reading all these posts and --- FARK! thats totally sh&t. its a total bs story and gonna be hard to track down. I would be doing what everyone has suggested ASAP i.e. call the cops and tell them the full story. Write down all events for later reference. Also look at the contact...its pretty likely that without delivery fo the car there is no deal and I find it unlikey the guy can argue the situation was "out of his control" The fact the battery was flat etc seems all too convienent...and the cops will be right onto this. Go see a proper solisitor/lawyer and get things going against the importer now...there is no way he is gonna give u back the cash without a fight. And u might find there is some out clauses in the contract also esp. for this situation - they might be the dodgy brothers. totally bad luck mate. I'm sure evryone here will help u out if u need a hand or advice...

although its not the monash...and I saw the article also...I was driving on the eastern to the city today and say 2 un-marked cars and one marked one...one the way back 2night I saw 2 marked ones...seems to be heaps about. on another note I have an office in Broadmeadows and cops setup a vehicle check around there...good to see no Skylines were one the side...I drove past and they didn't even pull me over - I was pretty worried as who knows what they could defect me for
