Getting a tune, Need advice on parts
hypergear replied to ruinned's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I've modified a fully stock R34 as one of my projects. With list below I've managed 317rwkws on P98 fuel, I hope those information can provide some guidance for starters. 1. Xtreme Pull type Cushion button heavy duty clutch KNI25003-1C. from Race brakes : $891 2. Splitfire coil packs from Just Jap: $589 3. JJR's stainless steel R34 3inches turbo back exhaust system: $770 4. XSpurt 1000cc top feed injectors from Injectorsonline.com: $750 5: Walbro 470 L/H fuel pump from Injectorsonline.com: $200 6: Adaptronic R34 Plug in ecu: $1499 7: Havoc Fabrication Front mount cooler kit: $850 8: 4 inches metal induction pipe made by few silicon hoses and a pod: $100 9: Complete dyno tuning from Chequered Tuning $750 10: I will be using my own ATR43G4SAT internally gated bolt on Turbocharger. $1250. Total spending: $7649 Plus about $500 in labor it works out to be $8150. -
There are so few of them around and took a while to find the right car. Picked up a 93 model R32 GTS4 in good mechanical order. Will be starting developments based on R32 Rb20det engines. My goal is to 270rwkws on pump 98 fuel with good turbo response. Car is pretty basic with a return flow cooler, and a turbo back exhaust fitted. I will be Nistune it and drop in some ID injectors for starters. I will list prices and places as project move along.

hypergear replied to Blackkers's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I made 365rwkws P98 fuel on a 2JGTE None VVTI engine. 20psi by 3500RPM. Its is super responsive, you can find the build details on my FB page. Been a RB30det with active VCT it will be out performing my 2J. There has been few updates on this particular turbo since last year, if its not installed you are welcome to send it back and get it upgraded to the latest specs free. -
Car won't take timing with out knock

Other thing I can think off is problem with CAS. Happened to a customer on this form few years ago. -
Car won't take timing with out knock

as in if fuel is running lean due to blocked fuel filter, injector or bad fuel pump. -

I'm leaning towards to what the Afr gauge say as well. -
For this power. its best order our ATR45SAT in BB CHRA. Run it externally gated with gate mounted on factory manifold.

R34GTT with Rv-2 Atr45sat Cbb Int gated bolton turbo on stock manifold. Stock engine rb25det neo motor, I'd 1000 injectors, walbo pump, Pwr cooler, 3 inches turbo back cooler and 4 inches intake pipe. 324rwkws P98 fuel -
I can fix or high flow them, their housings are usually good.

Scotty the old m35 turbocharger developed with u was a total disaster much to do with your Bunnings mod. looks like u have dogged away from internet for good no. of months. No need dumping shit bucks selling your offers. Our latest development in M35 system still stands both power and response over yours. While Im a year ahead into rolling out m35 ceramic ball bearings systems when u r only making a start, Plus your re-shafted OEM cores aren't better then a Brand new Garrett. let time and results speak for them selves.

I think 420rwkws is about the most this turbo can do. have to upsize wheels for more power. But Its plenty for what this car needs so far.
-
Haha, the car had upgraded fuel pump later on so I upsized the turbo to an ATR45SAT which made 408rwkws on an aggressive tune. Backed to 399rwkws for tracks. It run 1.251 at Winston last week beating previous wtac winners result of 1.26

We sponsored topstages S14 for wtac this year, its an built sr20det with solid head and pro cams. Upgraded to our ATR43SAT turbocharger from Garrett GT3071. Car made more power through out the whole rev range and maxed at 381rwkws e85 fuel. Red: Atr43sat Green: Gt3071 Philip island test run:

yes that can be done. go for our latest ATR45SAT model in ceramic ball bearing setup.

Our Ceramic ball bearing system Vs traidional bush. Easy installation working with OEM lines and restrictors Vs sump dropping and restrictor drilling. 326awkws vs 309awkws

R34 GTT Rebuild - Manifold/Turbo Advice
hypergear replied to macca911's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thats the latest ATR45SAT RV2 model in ceramic ball bearing center. Is maxed at 330rwkws on 22psi p98 fuel internally gated Bolton, 20psi by 3650rpm, unopened neo motor. Run that externally gated e85 it will be making around 400rwkws region. Check my fb or dyno sheet section for result. -
The ATR45 is a 3582 equivalent in .82 rear. It's good size turbo for a 3L bottom. The new one is a very different turbo and nothing interchangeable. Best sell that and we can build you a ball bearing one new from scratch.
-
Yes can build u an atr43g2 in cbb model for rb20det, that will be responsive and max towards 250rwkws regions

R34 GTT Rebuild - Manifold/Turbo Advice

Rebuilt turbo whining when cold, what is it?
hypergear replied to burn4005's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Once its worm, the bearing housing expands and gives an few extra thous of bearing clearances for the shaft run out. So the turbo becomes quiter.
