  1. G3 high flowed R33 turbo on my R34, P98 fuel:
  2. Assume there are no leakage. It's sounds the turbine shaft has too much run out.
  3. The stock T28 can be high flowed to make up to 300rwkws on pump fuel. It doesn't get any more responsive how ever. Usually bigger power = more lag.
  4. http://www.hypergearturbos.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=74&product_id=69 click on the G2 profile, and click on the ball bearing upgrade. Also when submitting the order, please add note state its for an Rb20det engine.
  5. Yes can be done. That will be our G2 high flow with bb upgrade.
  6. It didn't work out as good as the G3SAT model. So for the best response 250~300rwkws application use that instead.
  7. C34 Stagea with RB25DET NEO unopened engine. - Nistune ECU- 1000CC ID injectors- Factory cams, cams gears, and all manifolds.- HyperGear older version ATR45SAT (Rv-0 130215 discontinued) Bush bearing, RB25 bolton externally gated through exhaust manifold.- 3 inches turbo back exhaust. - Walbro 470L/H Fuel pump- 3 inches induction pipe- Split fire coil packs- PWR 600x300x81mm intercooler-Tuned by Chequered Tuning Melbourne Car made 400rwkws @ 22psi E85 fuel.
  8. Here is one more result that are worth posting. This is from one of my troubled customers whom like many others using stealth setups including a return flow cooler and a silent exhaust. Obviously it made a petty 260rwkws P98 using our ATR43SS2 turbocharger with a massive boost drop. The SS2 however have held a dead flat 20psi on my R33 peeking 302rwkws. Fixing that boost drop problem, he went all the troubles fitting up an External gate that made only a 5kws gain. His disappointment anger and frustration has been directed to the turbo and my self. During that time, initial ATR45SAT was first made and tested by Havoc Fabrications at 420rwkws. An upgrade request was made by the customer so the same turbo was built and sent for the exchange of the ATR43SS2 which I'm yet to receive. With nothing else apart from the turbo change and E85, the car made an disappointing 354rwkws, that have sparked more heated conversations, to prove my product I have later managed to use the same turbo beating his E85 result running internal gate on less boost. Red- My internally gated result vs Blue - under performing externally gated result Finding out reasons and answers in solving those issues, I have bought my 2nd and 3rd R34, picked the exact same mods used, guess what I ended up with same crappy result. Investigation pointed to the Blitz return flow cooler, the 2.5 inches resonator inside Jap exhausts as well as the EPA approved compliance cat, test results of those are documented in my earlier updates of this thread. A proper front mount cooler is finally fitted, with a good cold air induction system and a free flow exhaust installed. using the same turbocharger the car has now hit 400rwkws on E85 fuel: Vs controlled result: This is an perfect example of how important it is picking the right supporting and differences it makes to overall performance.
  9. No, its running a 6 bolt Nissan bolton type of a housing connected to a JJR 6 bolt dump.
  10. That will be the RV-1, which is still pretty good.
  11. The latest Upgrade in Rb25det Bolton turbo upgrade. Had my R34 on dyno today testing the latest ATR45SAT ceramic ball bearing turbo. Amazingly it made the same power with 250RPM better in response. Plus most importantly, this turbocharger is happy to run a minimum boost level of 20psi, which the older model can run no less then 22psi. P98 fuel Now hitting 20psi @ 3650RPM vs Older version of 14psi @ 3650RPM. Car made a peek of 331rwkws and average of 325rwkws @ 22psi with 3 inches turbo back exhaust + Tee connected, It is a blast to drive. Recap, Car has: R34 GTT RB25DET NEO unopened engine. - Adaptronic ECU - 1000CC ID injectors - Factory cams, cams gears, and all manifolds. - HyperGear ATR45SAT (Pro-B 150816) Ceramic Ball bearing Internal gated RB25 bolton Turbocharger - JJR 3 inches turbo back exhaust, 2 inches Tee from front pipe. - Walbro 470L/H Fuel pump - 4 inches induction pipe - Split fire coil packs - PWR 600x300x81mm intercooler -Tuned by Chequered Tuning Melbourne (Highly recommended)\ Dyno reading shown: Red - ATR45SAT (Rv-2 150816) Current Grey - ATR45SAT (Rv-1 180316) Video shown the highest powered dyno run

  13. Naa the G3SAT killed it in both power and response. I'm not been able to make anything thats more responsive at its HP. And some video footages from this week: HyperGears ATR45SAT Ceramic ball bearing turbocharger powered Team Lori Blue Bird. Sandown race track 1.24 run before WTAC. Car is a 4WD, has SR20VET engine, Built gear box, Fuel and injector mores, manifold and external gate. Tuned at Springymotors made 340awkws E85 fuel. Car driven by John Reco
  14. I think that would an excellent turbo for the FJ20, you will want to run that in a ball bearing core for this application.
  15. I will keep this thread synchronized with our FB updates. This is based on an prototype SS2 running ceramic ball bearing core. The new housing has been shorted so the dump pipe is no longer been pushed back against the A/C drain. Turbocharger made 302rwkws @ 21psi P98 fuel internally gated as a bolton turbo. Currently 18kws short of the target goal. Project is still under development.
  16. All you need is to upgrade its compressor. Below is using one of our upgraded TD06-20G in 12cm using ATR43G3SAT compressor before and after upgrade. R32 GTST RB30det Pump 98 fuel ID 1000CC injectors PFC + FMIC + 3 inches exhaust High mount manifold + 44mm external gate
  17. Yes its a RB30det on P98 fuel externally gated.
  18. Some more data to update with. This is an result of an compressor wheel upgraded of a TD06L2 12cm based 20G P98 fuel to our ATR43SAT compressor wheel. http://www.hypergearturbos.com/images/dynosheets/hiflows/td0676mmupgrade/boost.jpg
  19. get a proper PWR 600x300x89mm fmic, block bov and use a pod filter. will increase power and response by heaps.
  20. Rb25det NEO > Rb26 > Rb25det ^^ thats what I think about unopened standard engines.
  21. Those modifications would be handy for some of the Bush bearing BW S300SX fans.
  22. BB improves throttle response and maximises boost response, so the turbo makes more boost with lower rpm. Yes can use different housings depending on size of wheel used. There is about 6 hours of engineering work required making up all the little collars, spacers, as well as modifying the bearing housing and re-grind the shaft, everything needs to be done perfect for this to work, its not a quick easy job. This particular one cost $1400 to do thats including the BB upgrade as well the supplying the comp wheel and comp housing. For a Normal Garrett T3x and T4x based turbocharger in working condition with housings supplied, it will cost $650 to carry out. Holset or BW medium / large frame like the one above again in working condition with housings supplied will cost $1000 to carry out.
  23. This is quite interesting of a job so I post. It is high flowing and converting a bush bearing BorgWarner S300 series Turbochargers to ceramic ball bearings. ATR45SS compressor is used with a matching .70 compressor housing along with original S300 turbine wheel and housing.
  24. For your application might not necessarily have to build an Rb30det, we can high flow your factory turbo to meet your goal. and it will be very responsive for the power it makes.
  25. My experience high flowing Twin GTR turbos internally gated is the turbos has issues dumping back pressure through a 3 or 3.5 inches exhaust. -5 on stock cams is very laggy, without been able to dump back pressure, fancy billet wheels can not run into their peek efficiencies. I've personally used -9 specs in my own GTR, pretty happy with that and thats recommended for road and track use.
