Very nice car. But won't be able to road register it in Vic.Dame.

Rb25neo Turbo Setup - Opinions/recommendations
hypergear replied to Kmac92's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I'm not sure how urgently you need this to be done. I'm currently working on a RB bolton turbo prototype that will get you a responsive 400rwkws on E85 fuel. Initial test results shown 380rwkws (out of fuel) and 353 on P98 (out of fuel) on the RB25 dyno sheet section. That turbo has factory manifold and dump pipe patterns, uses all factory lines. Prototype should be completed towards the end of Aug. -
1JZ none VVTI using our ATR45SAT prototype making super responsive 338rwkws @19 psi externally gated. Drift footage from last weekend.
-
Please email me a photo of the rear turbine and comp of the turbo. I don't remember building internally gated SAT versions for any one. if it is the SAT model, it might be running 22psi minimum boost, but I can make changes to it if not yet installed.
-
Hi, I'm not sure. This is probably the only internally gated prototype ever built. Yours could be an externally gated model or a SS2 internally gated, best refer to order list. It managed 353rwkws on pump before running out fuel. But at 23psi of boost the car was pretty happy with timing and happier to take on more boost. With every thing working it should be maxing out towards 400rwkws E85 or about 370rwkws on pump. On top of that the turbo it still makes 20psi by 3800RPM and over 200rwkws on either P98 or E85 @ 4000RPM, it makes a pretty good daily.

Has to be externally gated. I don't have big enough area on the snail tubing to make it internally gated.

I removed the fuel filter and replaced it with a straight piece of metal pipe, made no difference. It started to run lean, and leaner. The voltage to it was fine, the pump has now been replaced, I'm hopping to see this issue solved on my next dyno run. similar scenario happened to my R33 two years ago, except that pump just stopped, left me on roadside for a few hours.

Rb25 Turbo Upgrade, All Dyno Results

Ok, cool. Here's some thing quite extraordinary. I found my previous run using the ATR45SAT int gated prototype had a collapsed rear muffler. Had that replaced and, it went up to 380rwkws then run out of fuel. My Walbro fuel pump played up shortly after as it started to run lean and leaner after each dyno run. Without the extra back pressure boost creeped to 23psi up top, its not perfect at this stage. More development will be conducted. But 380rwkws out of internally gated bolt on turbo is a pretty good result. With the extra fuel I'm pretty certain it will reach very close to 400rwkws.

Some good figures out or a R33 AUTO, P98 fuel using our 21U STD high flow making 262rwkws @17psi. Usual bolton mods, Tuned By Boosted brothers in SA.

Here are my results: GT3582 equivalent . 82 rear. I'm aware ATR45SAT is running more boost. 3582 equivalent in .78 rear GTX3076 equivalent in . 82 rear. (I could not boost it any higher then 20.5psi up top with external gate fully shut). Results were collected from a unopened Rb26dett engine using stock cams and E85. Other thing I've noticed but unsure of is my Rb26 seems to be making slightly less power on same boost then my RB25det. But is happier taking more boost and work with larger turbos.

Details are below: http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/261613-hypergear-hiflow-service-continued/page-533#entry7483378 With the GTX 3076 equivalent wheel. The maximum It managed to hold 20.2psi maximum and that did 374awkws on E85 fuel. My goal was responsive 400awkws, It was abit short to my goal.

I had issues with 76mm comp wheel not been able to keep up with set boost level after 5000RPM. That resulted in a fall in boost, power and torque. I've tried with a GTX 3076 equivalent wheel as well as standard. GTX made more power but still had that boost fall. GT3582 will do it but quite laggy. I ended up building a customized turbo that managed to hold boost, made 400rwkws+ while not much laggier then the stock twins. My result is at RB26 dyno section, there is a comparison of it running against factory twin T25s also for references.

Some updates, This is an internally gated prototype that I've been working on few weeks, the goal is 370rwkws on E85 fuel with excellent drive ability, internally gated bolton to factory RB's manifold, dump and all lines. My final result was 365rwkws @ 23psi E85 and 330rwkws P98 @ 22psi. 20psi was reached at 3800RPM, while made over 200rwkws @ 4000 using either fuel. This is probably the highest power any one has every made using a bolton turbo. I'm very happy with todays results.
