  1. Testing and evaluated our latest turbocharger for the GTR33. This is a Special Application Turbocharger engineered to be externally gated working with Rb25det an Rb26det engines. This is the most responsive single turbocharger that ever made 411rwkws on Trent's dyno out of a standard Rb26dett engine. Peek 411rwkws @ 26psi E85 fuel We took a few runs to setup the EBC and this is power and boost graphs from 20psi to 25psi. Vs an other RB26dett with similar mods using a GT3582 in .82 rear: This used to be the former most responsive single for a RB26det. This car is running HKS270 Dur cams, with Active VCT inlet cam. It is using an Garrett GTX3582R. ATR45 SAT managed to beat it in both peek power and responds using factory cams and cam gear. However even I've had more boost down low, the VCT head always had the advantage of drawing more air. Dark blue and Red are running similar boost levels. Against my TD06SL2-20.5G in 10cm Turbine: Light blue: ATR45 SAT, Dark Blue: TD06SL2-20.5 in 10cm Turbine. In theory, fitting this turbocharger on a Rb25det, it should produce the identical responds as a TD06SL2-20G in 10cm turbine, while maxing out over 400rwkws. I'm pretty happy with its overall outcome. I will be doing further evaluations with few more wheels that I've made, hopping to reach better power and responds.
  2. I'm posting this to save you some money. This is a kando TD06 in a 10CM turbine, notice the boost creep and tapper. and I have received many of turbine housings of this kind to re-work on its internal gate. From the way of how the turbine housing is cast, internal gate can not be effectively enlarged either. Depending on how much power you are targeting. our STD high flows in most of cases can reach your goal with better performance and longevity. 21U STD high flow, E85 fuel. Perfect boost control. Internally gated.
  3. Worth spending a bit more money and buy one low K and good conditioned. Or buy mine
  4. Thanks for the feedbacks guys. I should have enough time in finishing off the GTR before the car gets sold. With the XR6, I'm looking particularly into manual FG turbos and good ones are quite pricey. I've done few big custom built turbos for BAs and even with 1.26 rear running a 120mm compressor they spooled up like high flows on R33s. Most people are more concert about bending con-rods and snapping drive trans instead. I will be into making GT45 equivalent CHRAs and see how they work inside stock FG housings.
  5. On my car, during the event of valve floating, power and torque appeared as: If this issue has been confirmed, I will be recommending supertech valve spring kit.
  6. The gtr is for sale, from experience it will take a while that leaves me with plenty of time. Im going back to rb25det and looking to start a new venture modifying x6 turbos
  7. That will make the car drives like a NA
  8. Its the size of the gate of the gate. The actuator tension has some effect in mid range but not enough control in upper rev when back pressure increases.
  9. If i set the internal gate at 10psi. When supporting mods are available, this turbo will not hold any boost that is beyond 16psi. Itnwill not make the target power. I can make a flow restrictor that sits on front of the turbo instead.
  10. Probably best to control boost with foot. if the initial boost level it set too low, the turbo will not be able to hold boost up top.
  11. We can machine what ever housing to fit. Casting is available from .63 to 1.05. For rb25det .82 would be fine for its compressor flow and make it laggy enough.
  12. That appears fine. no need for rebuilding.
  13. The turbo fits stock manifold, dump, water lines and oil drain. You will need a proper metal induction pipe to be made and a 2.5inches silicon hose in 90 degrees. You can pm m35scotty for the induction pipe. Manifold spacer is required and supplied, 4 longer manifold studs are required. The actuator is set to around 17psi, final boost level depends on how free flow every else are.
  14. There are few persons that I speak to that had issues with gunk blocking injectors, they all appears to have the type of injector that has the four small spray holes on the nozzle. The ID Bosh single ping spray type of injectors seems to be less problematic.
  15. The two GTRs are very similar, R32 had a 6boost high mount, same size cooler that was supplied and installed by the same fabricator. the GTST had hybrid NZ manifold and the usual cross over pipe front mount cooler kit. All cars has factory cam gears, while the GTST has VCT. All tuned on the same dyno using the same ramp parameters.
  16. Yes that Mac solenoid went funny on the start and we could not run any thing less then 23psi. it was later replaced. High boost was tuned first then low boost. I think this is what blew one of my Rb25det engines few years ago.
  17. Final result was 395rwkws at 23psi of boost.
  18. Some result from Today. upgraded to a Walbro 470L/H fuel pump and EBC fitted. made 383rwkws at 21psi. This is using a prototype .82 Alpha turbine housing with a ATR45 (3582 equivalent CHRA) which seems to work pretty well that matched the same response as to a VCT Rb25det motor. Final result compare to a GT3582R in .82 turbine on a GTR 32 (E85), and a GTST R33 using the same turbo (P98 fuel).
  19. We only do engineering related work, when collecting the turbo I can direct you to a good mechanic whom might be close to your area.
  20. Check your water temp, some times the clutch in the fan worns that leaves your engine to overheat. I found the old water temp gauge on the Nissan would not go pass the mid section regardless of how hot the water temp is. This happened to my r32 many years ago.
  21. And uploading one more result, It is sent in from a form member, based on a R33 GTST stock Rb25det with the usual mods. Final result of 263rwkws on 17psi. Good thing about it is this car was dyno tuned at Trents few month before the high flowed turbocharger was installed. This is a comparison between factory 2IU turbo V been high flowed.
  22. There is a restriction on stock exhaust manifold, so for a standard engine running around 19psi, they usually sit around the 280rwkws figure, unless more boost is added. SS2 would be pretty nice to drive while hitting that target, SS3 is best performed externally gated, and is roughly 250RPM laggier hitting 20psi about 4100RPM. Fitting it to stock manifold running internal gate, its result would be very similar to a SS2.
  23. Sure. Does it has to be internally gated that bolt up to factory position?
  24. Go to see Chequrered tuning. They'v been tuning my cars for 8 years, excellent tuner and person to deal with.
  25. For the questions: 1. Stock lines Yes 2. Stock RB25 side feed fuel rail (non modified entry/exit) Yes 3. Stock fuel pressure regulator Sard fuel reg. 4. Injector size? Ebay Junk 5x0 1200cc injectors.
