This is little bit of a lolz result. That is a ATR43G2.5 used on a fully stock Sr20det with factory cams as a bolton turbocharger internally gated. 290rwkws on 18psi E85. Good power, bit laggy

R33 Gtst Surging Under Heavy Boost
hypergear replied to aphexcloud's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
maybe exhaust cam gear is retarded or out a tooth? -
Yes I can make it fit into stock Rb20 turbo housings and use as high flow. Yes, It is smaller in diameter with different wheel blade and hub configuration. It should have a strong none linear pull behavior similar to a K04 in the VW GTRs.

I'm currently using adaptronic plug in, and they are pretty good.

Some further updates, for the billet SS1 and SS1.5 . The current SS1 runs a 71mm cast comp wheel, the newer version will be running a 60mm billet wheel with blade edge extension, smaller hub longer and cropped blade profile. This 60mm wheel should have the equivalent output as the current 71mm cast wheel with lot less in weight. Targetting is around the 240rwkws mark on 98 with excellent response. This wheel is ideal for people with Rb20det and SR20det engines. This is the SS1.5, the current 71mm compressor on the SS2 is rated to about 500HP, this 64mm wheel in theory should provide around the 470HP mark. I've packed large blades with extended tip on this wheel using a small 12mm center hub. Final goal would be 20psi by 3000RPMs using the SS1PU turbine while making towards the 270rwkws margin with very sharp throttle response.

The actuator on there is a 14psi low pressure actuator, I found many tuners don't like start tuning from 18psi, Pressure drop varies between setups, but a boost controller will definitely rise boost. I do have 18psi high pressure actuators, which you can buy and send back the one you don't need for a refund of the actuator.

Normally is half a whole, you can pull back more. The cat needs to be in 100 cell with straight through mufflers. Also note some dump/front pipes don't match up with the inside part of OEM gasket that needs dressing up. see how it goes on dyno first, would prefer to try a run with cat dropped off. The idle timing must be refer to user manual, 15 degrees @ 650 RPM, adjust it through the CAS. Or it won't take timing and pins when comes to boost.
-
Once the actuator bracket has been played with please make sure the actuator is preloaded. have a look at this video footage. (ignore the sound as the camera was held my mouth lol) It should have a 14psi actuator on there. Make sure the car has a free flow exhaust with a 4inch induction pipe and a free flow pod. Any restrictions in the cooler, intake and exhaust will cause boost drop. Also check the idle timing with a light gun, make sure they match 15 degrees or what ever your ecu tell you before taking it off for tuning. Have seen few customers cars with few degrees out after cam belt change.

what did that end up costing ?

Thats when I bought my first R33, Auto 93 model that costed me $17500 back then.

A of friend of mine wish to start introducing a vinly wrap service to Australia, I've so far not seening any cars on road with the wrap here in Melbourne. its suppose to be a stick on paint protector or a stickon paint that comes in various of colours. Here are some photos from cars that they've done overseas (mostly expansive cars), please share few photos of your own car if the same service has been applied to any members here, and what costs were involved. Cheers. Also smoked head / tail lights:

E85 generally makes 40kws above 98 so 250rwkws on pump is some where around 280~290rwkws on E85
-
yea 337rwkws on E85, and 360rwkws with the current high mount setup. Take 40kws off for pump 98. Look this, it was dropped off by a 70 year old man this morning whom treated his car religiously. Fully on hand mirror polished, not a scratch or drop of grease on it. Except his turbine wheel wasn't in the right place. watch I turn this into a SS2.
-
That is very little power for alot of boost with E85. I've made 2x versions of T518 turbos. the one on photo is a TD05 with 18G billet comp wheel, I think it will probably do a maximum of 250rwkws on pump 98 with cams far as the turbine wheel and housing concern. I only made one, it was originally for GTScotT's SR20det but he's got a better turbo on it at this stage. The other one was made using TD06SL2 turbine with 20G billet comp wheel since the 10CM external gated version was successful.

Help! Universal 80Mm Tb Tps Install!
hypergear replied to deep_nz's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yes can be done under going engineering work. I can get those all fitted for you if you can drop it off or mail it in.- 3 replies

- Throttlebody
- TPS

I can make a SS2 into a stock high flow. lol come pass for a test drive.

Further update on the T67. Finally got the back plate made and comp housing profiled. came up pretty nice: Dame Trent's not coming back till Mid Jan. Got so many drawings made before xmas comes
-
I would say about 450HP each turbo, in a twin setup with all supporting mods the 2nd turbo usually add in 70% of its full efficiency, how ever there are too many variances.
-
That is a 25G compressor wheel and a .70 comp housing, turbine is SL2 TD06 Yes vinyl wrap is the one. I'm getting some photos send over today will post up. They comes in mat black, white, grey, red, clear and other colours. Costing wise at moment be looking at $850 for the whole car, will take about a full week to complete. Customer's resulted based on a PU high flow, Rb25det VCT not enabled on pump 98 and E85

Cheers. The one on the block is a M12x1.25 fitting and the one on turbo is M10x1.25. The straight hose tail goes to the block and the 90 degree end goes to the turbo. are both fittings you've got exactly the same? Quick questions thou, a friend of mine is interest of introducing a stick on paint service, its a plastic alike material that sticks on cars body that you can peal them. Any one had their car stick on panted here? Also I've got my Billet T67 CHRA machined and assembled today. will be doing comp and turbine housing tomorrow and there will be a little bit of a challenge as the the back plate adapting those two don't exist. Garrett patterned .70 housing uses pressure clamps while Greddy uses a large C clip. So it will has to be either C clipped and bolted or double clipped.

Rb25Det Neo Intake Temperature Probe
hypergear replied to DaveB's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The run that appears from R&R could be the induction pipe squashed shut / half shut. The hard silicon hose would stops it from shutting. From memory there is a customer made 255rwkws using it. 3inch induction would still be much preferred. PM M35scotty he makes bolton 3inch induction pipes for Rb25dets at reasonable price. -
Rb25Det Neo Intake Temperature Probe
hypergear replied to DaveB's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You will need to use a 3inch metal induction pipe and a pod for that sort of turbo. Factory injection pipe aren't big enough to flow that much of air. You will find a big jump in power figure.
