  1. this speed magazine doesn't tell you how much 'faster' the RB25DET cars were after mods does it?
  2. yep. it's not a vacume line. Caminperth, Mate I might just take you up on the offer. Cheers.
  3. Just a question to save me some stuffing about. I have an airleak like sound once the engine trys to come on boost and power flattens off along with boost not really holding. Other than that the engine idles great and runs very nicely under load upto the point where you try to get some boost happening. It all started after I was demonstrating the NOS system to Miko the other night and blew off an intercooler hose, as always you crap yourself when that happens . Due to lateness of the hour MIko and I took 4 times as long as a single non-tired person would to fix the hose. Anyway I specualte the BOV and hope it isn't a turbo gasket or something. Input apreciated.
  4. mines a turbo by the way. and has done a low 13, will do 12's now without the NOS kit and probably 11's with it 'on'. Unlike the slow NA 'poo barges' and costs close to the same.

  6. I'm a regional manager for an IT manufacturer.
  7. amu, Couple of things. As a point of correction nitrous is not 'volitile' by definition, it increases the pressure of the combustion process (as is required with any increase in horsepower). The pressure/ horsepower increase allowable is determined by the limits of the engine construction. The tuning of the single fogger may often mean if you have a airflow distribution problem in the plenum (as the RB25 doesn't really) going a tad richer on the mixture side perhaps with a lower overall power output as opposed to the direct port system but, none the less completely safe. As you may or may not know the tuning of nitrous requires the inspection of all pistons condition as indicated by the plugs. I can assure you in the case of my engine there is no problem. Going to much larger (200+hp) applications justify the use of a 'direct port'.
  8. New lower price due to the fact that I'd actually have to pay capital gains tax if I get more money. Don't wait around for this one! 1995 '12 second' R33 GTST 'sleeper' with NOS (Perth W.A) Well it's that time of the year.. Time to sell the car and get a new one, for tax reasons as it is a work vehicle. Totally stock looking manual 'silver' gtst with factory rims. A blank canvas to customise or leave as is to avoid unwanted attention. CONDITION: 102,000kms regular servicing including transmission and diff. Presently the car has a crease in the rear bumper and a few minor scratches, which will cost about $500-600 to clean up properly and the price reflects this. Interior is good. and it has a factory 7disc CD stacker/tuner and drivers airbag. MODS. * K&N Airfilter and modified airbox * HKS exhaust cam gear * Ogura Racing Chrome Molly flywheel * 9 puck ceramic compound clutch * FGK Super Ti cat back exhaust (very quiet and flows well) * Custom Stainless steel turbo dump pipe and front pipe, with thermal wrapping. * Apexi Super AFC II and sought after 95' ecu * Peltier cooler on standard intercooler. * Whiteline KCA349 diff cradle kit. * Bosch Motorsport in tank fuel pump * NOS EFI Nitrous kit (hidden underbonet) with 10lb bottle and 50hp jet. New nitrous solenoid. The last outing saw the car run 13.3 and has since had a major tuning issue resolved which will has it making easy 12 second power. With larger decent rear tyres fitted 12's will not be a problem without NOS. The NOS activation offers the potential for low 12's and with the simple fittment of the 100hp jet an 11second pass.
  9. what about one with a nitrous kit? After looking at my tax info I can't sell it for more than $19k without attracting capital gains tax.
  10. thankyou nitrous guru. What did you mean by ' do it right ' ? Does that mean installation using only the right hand?
  11. My pedal has one of those and its a manual! It seems to help the car sideways even in the dry doing 100kmh? I think I can organise a 'NEW SWITCH' to be fitted on your 'go' pedal, that will take you back to the days of sideways Niz
  12. 0.052 n2o and a 0.034 fuel.
  13. helloo. My rear tyres are no longer my friends. Bloody nitrous!

  15. It's fargin scary let me tell ya. I finished a detuned setup today (timing backed off and the fuel on the rich side). The thing spins the wheels all through 2nd from 2500rpm till 100kmh, smokes the tyres all the way and gives more of the same in 3rd. I'm thinking of doing a smaller jetting for tyre ecconomics, 205's are not up to the task
  16. 1.6 60ft !!! That would be nice.
  17. shame he doesn't have nitrous tho'
  18. 57OCK, you stop stiring up the whales you bastard!
  19. the direct port system is not always the best choice. If you run a system of only 150HP then the jets for each pot are so small that they are easy to block, not a good thing. Filters can help but over time the jets still seem to get clogged a little and even the smallest restrition changes the mixtures. At levels of 150HP or less the single fogger works better.
  20. If there is one thing you need to be sure of when putting a nitrous system together it's quality. Zex is a 'get what you pay for' system. It's cheap. You don't want a 'cheap' nitrous system it will only let you down. You want a 'proven' nitrous system and NOS is one of the companies that offer this. If the budget is a concern then go 'local' and buy an OZrace system, they are far better than the Zex and offer excellent backup service. If I had to buy new I'd consider Ozrace, NOS or NX. The other thing is you can mix and match components from each company.
  21. There are a few R32 GTR's that have run high 11's on the standard turbo's and ECU.
  22. WTF Magnas! How DARE you!
  23. I'd have to rip out the front seats and sit in the back seat to fit in one of these cars. Made for midgets, probably another reason they are often quicker. Silvia is a girls name too.
  24. 4 Doorz, what tyre pressure did you go for?
