  1. The thought crossed my mind with mine as well. Nitrous is an easy way to drop the ET.
  2. raasclaat, What size turbo do you have mate? If it's a stocker turbo then prepare to go slower if you opt for the front mount, I almost guarentee you will (go slower than the stock ic that is). The best option for a stock turbo or a slightly high flowed unit is the factory replacement trust kit. It is not the front mount kit but a thicker stock positioned unit with the trust R-spl core. If you do have a larger upgrade turbo then try to flow match the new front mount with the flow capacity of the turbo. And ensure that the pipes are as short as possible and have as few bends as possible. The GTR cooler is good for a 400HP+ turbo (I mean thats the power you want to have ready at the turbo before you buy one to make it a 'good upgrade).
  3. try a merlot if your just starting on red, it seems to be the most approachable for most white drinkers. Aurora merlot a very easy drinking one and not expensive.
  4. Nizmo, Agree with you on the wine thing. Thinking of reds no doubt?
  5. Drive it hard? Agree the turbo has more finesse. Perhaps a more femine appeal then. Lets see if paul will be baited into saying he likes the turbo sound more
  6. hey mat, get another 4mph on the terminal and you can get a high 10 , with a 1.9/1.8 60ft.
  7. I can only assume you have never been in a hardcore V8 machine. Hey I love the turbo noise too, don't get me wrong. But when you are behind the wheel of the V8 the noise is truely music to your ears.
  8. cha-ching!
  9. baby, I hate to say it but the small block reving out to 6000rpm sounds alot better than a turbo screaming. Turbo's just don't sound anywhere near as mean. You might get a chance to see the wagon and see/hear what I mean.
  10. if he's open at 9am then I'll try to be there then.
  11. I gotta show you bastards with the big turbos what a stockie can do.
  12. The gearbox doesn't like 'overselection' either. The shift forks won't help you if you are one of those people who drive around with one hand resting on the gearstick at all times. After a drag/race session its a good idea to chuck the gearbox oil and diff oil also.
  13. Improvise, You are talking about sound gains, not power gains. I don't know about you but I can't 'feel' 2-3hp differences. Unless the old unit was blocked and farqared.
  14. the cat is a 'factory blockage'. I think I've said before that a hiflow cat is actually an oxymoron. No cat has a Hiflow, they are ALL crap flow compared to a peice of pipe. R31 Chick, I'm always good for a laugh even if my car isn't.
  15. anyone tried jack daniels single barrel? It's one I've yet to taste.
  16. volvo is good . at least it isn't leaking oil all over and it aint smoking the auto. morrisons is on lake street.
  17. there is a great little blues/jazz bar in northbridge called morrisons. When they get a better range of whiskey then it will be supreme, they have jacks at least. Kick back and listen to some live tunes and sip away.
  18. dude are you still at osborne or have you made the shift with paul to cannington yet?
  19. i take an interest in the things I like an try to understand them, appreciate them more. Jim beam, I should add, has some great bottled products in their range and they start with the black label onwards. The black label is bottled in america as are the others. They market their very cheap reject quality white label to mixer people with no money and no particular taste in whiskey.
  20. jim beam white label is toilet cleaner. Here is a good rule of thumb for distilled product: If it's bottled in the country of origin it passes the first test. If it's bottled here (jim beam white and various other peices of crap) then give it a miss.
  21. have you tried gentleman Jack from the jack daniels range? There is also a special malt variety. All quite interesting.
  22. morning. probably 9ish
  23. my wife drives the r33 around. She did a trip down south a while back and the guys at the local petrol station couldn't get over it. Whats more she told them the details of the engine when they inquired and they were further shocked.
  24. I reckon I should get the car potato tuned as well. See what sort of distance I can get on a potato fired out of the exhaust before and after.
  25. own the road? I drive a volvo/holden v8 the ultimate road tank. Broken, I'd rather be driving a $10k car that drives well and use the spare $30k for something enjoyable than drive a $40k piece of poo.
