  1. fowl customer service when it comes to matching rates they are chicken
  2. which bank? I hate that bank ripping off my idea and not even letting me talk to the staff, sure I don't look like anthony robins but....
  3. this is the same thing marketing are doing to me! What is it? Mention rubber chickens and you aren't worth talking too?
  4. c'mon guys give me some encouragement.
  5. no, work for Lexmark (printer company 2nd largest in world). I am Business development manager (a sales/marketing role). People in banks don't understand rubber chickens, last time I had a rubber chicken in hand at the bank they asked me to leave.
  6. disconect. negative power source unless ground is specified. Now answer my q.
  7. what do you guys think of my idea? I was asking my marketing department to fork out $2k for a bulk purchase of rubber chickens for a sales incentive program and so far they haven't responded back. Normally they get straight back to me so I am wondering if they might have a problem with it. A few months ago I had the same request only for $1.5k worth of rubber chickens and they said I needed to come up with some substancial changes to such an idea in order to get funding approval. Well I changed the amount to $2k. I mean thats a pretty substancial change. So what do you all think?
  8. football in the land of dracula?
  9. nizmo, your in marketing right?
  10. They worked well to shoot flames and attract cops. nothing shot bigger flames and made loader bangs than my old chooker. Yep I'm in Darwin for work. It's the last leg on my work tour that started in adelaide. Both these places have all-day dance music radio stations. Adelaide craps on perth for the club scene as well. Er..not that I'd know anything about that I'm working right?
  11. I used to like the in cabin activated exhaust cut outs you could buy. They allowed you to run staight out a flamethrower pipe with the pull of a lever. Fry the car/pedestrain next to you. BTW working in Darwin sucks. Drinking in Darwin rocks.
  12. 3.5 is normal.
  13. The Simex tyres are quite good for the rear tyres, if wide enough. Get a 50/55 profile for the back. For front tyres go a tyre with more sidewall strength, not simex. If you got some $$ then the 540's are mint. Mat (whatsisname) has some and we took his car for a belt (very quick) and very little traction lost at all once warm.
  14. The good ol' gtst would have had a 12 a while ago instead of a 13.4 if I didn't use little 205's. I don't care to stay in 13's anymore I've got a S-afc II and a cam gear on so it should be easier. I wouldn't suprise me if the HPI s15 did 12's, they car is an easy one to get going quick.
  15. I like to wind the window down and say " Mate that is one sweet sounding 253 you have there". I could be called a holden driver since my volvo wagon is powered by a holden V8 and trans. I can't wait to chop a skyline in it! (it will chop quite a few I know of in my area)
  16. The R33 gtst can get mid 13's if you spend about $2K on top of. The 180sx can go a tad quicker for the same $. Skyline is a good cruiser and it will cost you more than a 180sx to realise it's full potential. You have a factory 2.5L six that delivers excellent fuel ecconomy and has the protential to run larger turbo's without the same degree of lag. It comes down to horses for courses.
  17. I've got a consistant 13.5sec car and I didn't have a hiflow or a S-afc to get there. I'd forget about the guessing and go hit the track. You will need some experience to make the most of any mod when it counts 1/4 or otherwise. Besides you go down to the track to have fun, not to show off your times (you do that when you go home and post it on the forum ).
  18. I drop the clutch at 3000-3500rpm and 'feed' the throttle. If you get into 13's then you can be happy, most perth gtst's can't manage 13's. Go to the drags and see how you go.
  19. predator666, What you say about the driver is true (I'm not sure in your case). The dragstrip is difficult for street cars, it requires a little bit more effort to get going. The dragstrips all round the country are equally tough for skylines to get good times. Practice makes perfect.
  20. Trust have several intercoolers on offer. The standard turbo would do well with the 1st two base units. The first is a direct replacement for the stockie cooler, flows more and is perfect for a streeter. BTW your not really building a road/circuit car are you? I haven't seen many of these sort of cars around just people that say thats what they want to do and end up having a mish mash that does nothing very well (they also have no race/circuit experience and never end up doing any). I think Sydneykid and a few others who circuit race can point you in the right direction setup wise all the same.
  21. Jeff, More practice and you will get 12's.
  22. good to hear it Jeff!
  23. Exersice ! Yuk! I go to the gym once a month or two months or quarter, I have no motivation. I made a goal of getting my 100m time into 10's in 3 years (two years ago) the best chance I've got is to use my car at this moment. Fortunately, the exercise program I use is aptly titled "Dave's Principle of Rest". I go to the gym, do no warm up and no stretching. Go to the hack squat load it with 340kgs and do 18reps.(warm up).Next set is whatever I reckon I can do 5/6 reps of. At present I do 440kgs (well.. 2 months ago). Then I do 300kgs on the donkey calf machine once for 6 reps and go home, feel sick, and don't go back till I think I've had enough "rest" (2 months?). I also wait till my heart rate returns to rest before doing a set. I'm supposed to do other exercises after I reach target weight goals on hacksquat etc. I'm running out of time to reach my goal so what do you gym junkies reccomend for motivation?
  24. Flip, Keeping the stock turbo? I'd try to get the right flow rated cooler for the turbo, rather than pick off undisclosed sizes of various branded ones.
  25. like to go to the drags soon don't know if I'll get the time in the next two weeks tho'. I'll post something when I'm going down for sure. Always good to catch up with the skyline people.
