Well it took all day but, I fixed the window.Found out later they stole my work mobile (which I normally never leave in the car --- dumb luck). The winder rail was bend and the mechanism was broken, required a fair bit of work to put right. I had the car parked at home, left out the front as we had visitors and I went out to get a bottle of wine. My car was the only one they attempted to get into, I assume they were out to steal it. I think I'll invest in an alarm to go with the immobiliser.

Last night some little twerps tried to break into my car. They wedged a screwdriver under the top of the passenger window and pushed the window down in the process breaking the winder I believe. After that they were too pissed to open the door so all they did was reach in and open the glove box (nothing inside). Now I have to repair the winder (thankfully the window is fine)

You can't run the std turbo on 'high boost' anyway (if by high boost you mean 12+psi). Keep the stock cooler unless you ugpgrade the turbo or circuit race (I don't think the std turbo will do that for long anyway). The best intercooler upgrade for the stock turbo is the Trust R-spl core direct factory replacement for about $1k, or an R34GTT one (same dimensions except much thicker). The extra tubing and volume of most fmic's reduce the engine response on the stock turbo.

f'n'f is the most infuriating movie I have seen in a long time. If I learnt anything from it, it would be that people that liked it are effected by complete ignorance car wise. I mean....no a critique of it would take too many lifetimes. The volvo is a family car. No nitrous for it. The Skyline is a work car. No nitrous for it while I use it for work. If someone wants me to kit it before sale I'll sort it for them.

By the time I sell my car it will probably have a shot of Nitrous and then you can rub thier faces in mid 11's (on the standard turbo). oops did I say nitrous? I meant shot of vodka.

Probably the cold start enrichment solenoid, if it doesn do it after it warms up then thats probably it. If it is anything like the aircon solenoid then they can carbon up a fair bit. Give it a clean if you know what you are doing.

I put the plumb back hoses on again and tried blocking the hole under the BOV to see what it does in real life. I actually like the effect it has, except it certainly doesn't make the car quicker (for those who thrive on placebo effects). It does give a better response when the throttle pushes the vacume into a range just before '0'.

500+kms out 'o' tank. Got 450kms on the way back from geraldton on monday night but, was cruising on around 220kmh for about 90kms (on a little known private road )

looks like there is a solenoid of some sort on the square thingo. The other hose seems to be a vacume related one. Probably pollution stuff! Kill it ! Kill it! kill it now!

The PS2 plays DVD's just not multi region without a mod chip. Put the chip in and you can play multizone (read pirate) games too. The mod chip for the PS2 is not very expensive. The PS2 enables you to play GT3 and race mines GTR's around.

Nizmo, hard to find a smiling butt with eyes these days, they only seem to have one eye and there is a lack of colour choice.

The sony players aren't too bad, not 'A' grade, but then they aren't 'A' priced. The same mpeg boards are found in the cheap ass DVD players. There is a singer unit (in the cheap ass range) that is probably the best of a dodgy bunch (rick heart has them last I checked).

Joe, If you don't have a megabuck T.V and you aren't real fussy about sound quality then strathfeild have some very cheap but, otherwise reliable DVD players (black levels are not fantastic but then neither are the ones you buy from other dept stores in general). Then again just buy a PS2 and get it mod chiped. They cost $400 don't they?

Well I'm not in any rush to sell just yet. It give you the luxury of seeing the car in action at cruises and the drags. Not to mention forum members spill their guts about whats happening to their cars all the time. So you can go past all my threads about how I don't clean inside my car and I take no care in washing it on a regular basis but, on the flip side I am very keen on keeping it in a good state of tune (hence the fast times). Even if you didn't particularly like my car there are always oppertunites when other forum guys sell theirs (you can dig up plenty of history and opinions).
