  1. jasma is not a brand name. All aftermarket jap exhausts are stamped with it (including my FGK).
  2. If you have eyebrows that are thin (ie: you can see through them --- opposite of greek eyebrow thickness) then you have strong viking blood.
  3. enough (just). I did rocket run to geraldton and back on monday and that tests the comfort factor. I'm glad I didn't buy a WRX let me tell ya. If I have my hair ala dragon ball Z ( I am goku ) then it has a tendancy to stab holes in the roof. These days I am stuggling with the adolf hitler hair as I am attempting to grow it back to the long length I used to have.
  4. I tell you what it took forvever to find my wife, who is as tall as you by the looks (shade under 6ft). It comes from her Danish ancestors no doubt (ah the the viking women...so tall so athletic). Could have done with more gals like you around when I was in the dating game (I'm sure I have incurred permanent injuries from stooping during that period so many years ago). I'm only 6ft 4' when I stand up straight and weigh a very lean 97kgs, so really I'm not at all a giant.

  8. The tyres I use at the drags are the ones I drive home on and do 35,000+kms on a year. 50 even 60 profile tyres are fine for going around corners on a street car. They offer even better ride comfort, something that is often needed when you have concrete coil overs. There is bugger all radial roll on a good set of tyres like the re540s even at this profile.My old toyo proxes were 55's as well and had no radial roll at all. To combat the hardening of the tyres from street use over time you can occasionally apply some AZNU tyre compound on race days (Ozrace stuff) get it from A1 performance I think.
  9. BATMBL, I hope the chip doesn't cost much, or at least if it does it enables you to program it using the lap top. Most chip packages I've encountered over the years are crap value for money. People usually show you this wonderfull dyno readout before and after and then there is this weird lack of results when they go to race the car again. The improvement is minimal.

  11. 40's are a tad low, even cheapo tyres won't give hardly any sidewall flex at the size. Good for the front tyres tho'. The best would be 55's or 60's.
  12. Drivebai, I reckon just use the factory BOV and plug the intake pipe recirculation hose and leave it to vent to atmo. The S-afc has a setting called 'Dec-acel' the manual contains some settings to use for the RB25DET, I don't have it to hand atm. HAve a look in the manual. If this setting is disabled the Throttle % will be 0%.

  14. I like piano accordians and own a rubber chicken that I take with me in the skyline.....wow he's right the skyline community has gone down hill! But dw, Don't leave us here in steady decline. You can see what is happening. You are a visionary and possibly the only hope we have of returning to the 'cool' state of your favour. I have a singlet but its only a bonds one, maybe you can reccomend a label to buy that will make me appear more cool like you. Do you suggest Wutang clan? What about music? I like to play russian polkas and swiss yodeling at full volume with my arm out the window when I pull up at the lights.. do you think I should go for polish folk music instead? please help us all before its too late.

  16. after the intercooler and before the turbo. The intake air from the airbox is cooler than the air 'from' the intercooler (although it is much cooler than the turbo to ic air). Hence the air going to the plenum (and out the BOV) is warm/hot air Vs the air going into the turbo.

  18. the 540's are a good compound. Get them in a taller profile for better sidewall flex and I'm sure they will prove to be an excellent choice for the drags. 35 profile is a little low 50/55's are better. also if you can match the rim width to tyre width thats the way to go for retaining some good handling (on that topic I'm sure gtrken is the guy to chat to).
  19. yeah I think my FGK is the Ti version,only the tip is titainium by the looks. At least when I backed into a reatining wall of concreted rocks the tip smashed a huge chunk out and didn't even scratch!
  20. I can't make the plex tomorrow (Doh! always a drama happening at the wrong time). Might try next week then. And I'm away from the 6th to the 16th april. We'll see how well Dan's new clutch works then

  22. I think you should organise a plex' meet between you two, and then with me.It will show you how meaningfull those pieces of paper are and you will have alot of fun to boot. Nah 30000rwhp is the max it can do ( It's about that many 0's you can add using photoshop without running out of space on the dyno printout).
  23. The S-AFC does a good job of correcting if you want atmo venting. The very hot air going back into the intake charge is not doing any favours but, I haven't tried taking the atmo venting track so I'm not sure how significant the power improvement would be without the extra 'hot' air.
  24. BATMBL, I have never heard of any cars going faster with the HKS BOV either. That leaves it in the 'cosmetic' category not the performance category. If it vents to atmo then the std ecu will over fuel in anticipation of extra air, not good when the AFR's are crap to start with. If you have a S-AFC or similar they can compensate otherwise give it a miss.
  25. yep the S-AFC II has knock readout. upto 30 seconds of graphical logging that can be played back as well. The sig. is in refference to the 13.4second pass specs. I'll change the sig when I get the 12 using the S-afc and cam gear.
