will there be hyundai excel's with drift wings ,40+ V6 commo's , $2000 S13 special rust race cars, skids and cranking of stereos at meet points and pingpingpingpings?
Get a small container of water and pour it into the pod filter while the engine is running. It will dramatically increase your compression and you will find drifting so easy going into corners.
Although as a car they get everything wrong..
From a purely style point of veiw, these are excellent cars for girls with bad motoring taste, midgets, midget girly hairdressers and people who dream of being a pink dragon.
I am interested to know if the place doing the extrude hone has a flow bench. If they don't have a flow bench, then dispite what the bloke might of told you , he wouldn't be in a position to know anything.
If they do then that could save people some money for sure.
I've never got into car mags.
Too busy with actual cars.
My tip is if you want to know something about cars then don't start or finish with a magazine. There are better places to learn things.
If the car sucks hotter air to begin with the power will be down relative to colder air.
There are other factors that will effect the tune also. Some of which the ecu can make automatic adjustments for but, within a range and assuming the tune is comprehensive.
I have tested a really ugly solution with the sheilded Vs unsheilded pods by using a cut up foam mat. The difference in temps at the intake are quite significant, as is the power.
You also have other temp related / heat soak issues to contend with including how hot fuel gets etc.
Simple things like fowled plugs can also contribute.
You didn't read well in this case.
Reffering to $10 silastic for 'coil packs', not coolant hose.
You have seen and owned a turbo running at 14psi that didn't break? Well I have known a good 30+ or more that have (been on this forum since 2002 and before then on SDU). The worst part is it is coupled with blokes like yourself who have gotten bad advice on what is a reliable level on these turbos.
Take your tuning shop advice as gospel if you like. It's your turbo but, I would like to help you out if I can by pointing out the utter shite info you have been given and hopefully help save you from some pain.
No I watched the first one for about a few minutes then fast forwarded through it and finally gave up.
The second and third I only needed to see the shorts to know it is utter crap.
If you know what you are doing tomei type B's will smack stock cams even on standard turbos.
But, getting them to do so requires time on the dyno and that can cost you, you also need to know your way around cam tuning.
Ultimately the adjustment of stockers is cheap and easy with great gains to be had everywhere. And if thats what your tuner recomends then stick to the plan he is comfortable with.
search for my 'china intake pipe review'
I got exactly this kit and it is the biggest pile of crap ever made.
Even if it worked the design is so bad it would most likely see the power go backwards.
If you still want one I have a kit you can have for $100. But, please don't buy it.
Cams work well when setup.
The cam gear are a great bargain mod. The cheap cam gears are not worth the pain of changing the crap adjustment bolts they come with and the potential poorly cut belt teeth some of them have.
If your turbo is set to 14psi with 'no spikes' you will eventually destroy it. The ceramic exhaust wheel will be destroyed.
This is a fact so well proven in the experience of these forums that you have only a matter of time before you post a thread about what turbo you should buy next. The boost 'will' kill this turbo and if you are unlucky the ceramic particles may also hurt the motor by getting back through the exhaust manifold into it.
The heat (due to being outside the compressors efficiency) and shaft speed required to produce the 14psi or so of the Turbo are the biggest factors in killing them.
No. No. and No.
It's based on ricer reality, in fact it's almost a documentary on their dreams.
It's not cheesy, that would imply it was like a tasty food. It's more like dog poo, only the mentally ill consider it edible.
